Chapter 60: DANA SUE

I slipped out of the house after cleaning up and headed for Melissa's place where the others would be waiting. We'd been planning something for the past few weeks that I was sure would get all our tails in trouble with our men, but I was outvoted so it was either join them or be the odd man out.

The smell of coffee hit me as soon as I went through the door and my mouth watered. I looked over my shoulder to make sure Lawton wasn't sneaking around behind me. Ever since he'd browbeaten me into taking a home pregnancy test he's been worse than the Gestapo.

"Don't even think about it. Your husband's already warned me that if anything happens to you during this pregnancy he's holding us responsible. Do you know he has a list of Do's and Don'ts?"

"You can't be serious." I reached for the list she had in her hand and read it over with dawning apprehension. "Dammit where did he get this?"
