Chapter 40: LAW

It's been three days since Brandon brought his woman home and three since he told me about her little drama. I knew these fucks would keep me in shit for the rest of my days, but this shit beats all. The granddaughter of the head of the local hate regime was the daughter of a black senator. Fuck me sideways.

At least she was safe, and so was the kid, which Brand assured me is very much real. A baby, what the fuck are we gonna do with a baby? We can barely keep our own heads above water with the shit that's been going down around here, now this.

The women were all excited about the news, though, and Dana Sue was already giving me looks, fuck. I'd told her what was going on because, as my wife, she had a lot more responsibility than the others, and I needed her to make Illyana as welcome as possible. Brandon was my boy, after all, and this was for him.
