Chapter 18

Since the scene had created, Erik behaviour changed a little and he has become more possessive now and plus he is getting involve with my friends too. Actually his behaviour seems to be a bit monitoring one, he secretly keeping watch on whom I am talking to and what I am talking about. Though this only happens when I go to meet with my friends in my free time and I don't like this, this is so much uncomfortable. I mean come on its so suffocating, space is what I needed but if I told him this again he would get upset, angry plus that "mine" tape would be on. So, I am avoiding to be with my friends in the when he is in the school or he have classes with me.

Today is one of the day when he is in school, we have an hour free before the class. So, we both are sitting in one of the free class and I am reading a novel for the exam only and he is playing game on mobile. After sometime he kept his phone down and initiated the conversation

Erik: Hey I want to tell you something.

Siya: (Nodding my head) Hmmm

There is an interesting plot going on in novel so, I kept reading it and when he speaks it, I simply nodded my head with an approval sound but continued my reading.

Erik: I was 14 years old when I had my first crush.

This sentence actually caught my attention I look at him with shocked and surprised eyes. At that age I used to enjoy eating good food, reading book or writing diary and here, this guy had his first crush which some girl. On this thought of mine I chuckled lightly and Erik noticed it.

Erik: What's so funny?

Siya: (Stammered, cough little to cover up) A.. j..just a joke from the book I remember. Whatever, continue what were you saying?

Erik: Ohh yeah. So, I thought it wasn't just a simple crush. I thought, I had fallen in love and so, I decided to confess it to that girl. I confessed my feelings to that girl, she accepted it too and she confessed too that she has same feelings for me too. And everything going on smooth, we did got intimate and I am falling for her more and more day by day. So, one day I thought that I am going to marry this girl soon and told her this too but as soon as she heard this her behaviour start changing from the same day. And one day...

Siya: (Curiously) what happened??

Erik: One day I go to meet her in our scheduled park and here I see her kissing some other guy. Guess what, I had a rose bud in my one hand and other hand had a chocolate box both were her favourite and after seeing that scene in front of my eyes, I drop them and leave from there without saying anything. I reached home.. first thing that I did was to broke my phone, then I reached at terrace and sit there till mid night and cried. And from next day I know some friends of mine who are into this drugs and alcohol, I started hanging out with them. Though initially I avoided but then I got a chance to see some documentary with them, then I learned how these things can lesser the pain so, I took them and now I love them.

Siya: Ohh did that girl ever crossed your path again?

Erik: (Evil laugh) Yeah and I kissed another girl in front of her and fucked that girl in front of her.

Siya: Okay.

(This is gross, whether he was in love or not but showing off such special moment is disgusting. Getting hurt is serious but taking revenge like this, I always believed when you are in love with someone and no matter what, revenge is something which you won't be taking whether you love or die. However, in this situation who I am to say something else as it not my story but he suffered a lot since childhood, which is sad.)

Erik: Hey, you there? (breaking the chain of my thoughts)

Siya: Umm yeah. I am sorry to hear about your this part of story.

Erik: (Emotionlessly) Don't be because I am not.

Siya: Hey have you ever heard of song Love Me Like You do by Ellie Goulding?

Erik: (Cheerful and excited) I know it well and I can sing it too.

Siya: Really?

Erik: Yeah

Siya: Cool. I must say now there is something is common between us because I like singing too.

Erik: (Chuckling) Wow, we can definitely have Karaoke session today sometime.

Finally he laughed a little, I feel proud of myself today a bit because I become the reason of his laugh for the first time and I do some crazy dance in my mind.

After our class we go to canteen, here Zoe and Ketty are sitting together having lunch. Though I have seen them and I wanted to join them but I won't be able to because he is too much clingy to me, I don't want him to be with my girlfriends and make all of us all feel uncomfortable. Obviously one boy and three girls.. not able to communicate freely, uncomfortable silence and Zoe is too much innocent, not into relationship and friendship with boys presently. For me its not easy to avoid my comfort but, but going against your decision is not one my thing.

As we go and sat in our usual corner table seats with our shake and cold coffee respectively. After some minutes I can see Erik looking at me with narrowing eyes. So I initiated the conversation.

Siya: What?

Erik: You are not sitting with your friends, what's the matter?

Siya: Nothing, they are just busy with their own things and I don't want to disturb them and yes Zoe is not comfortable with boys at all.

Erik: Okay

After an hour bell ringed and my next class is with Vicz and I am excitedly looking forward to attend it. As soon as bell goes off I picked up my bag though Erik called me, may be tried to stop me but I just told him I have a class to attend. The moment I stepped out from the canteen, it felt like I am at peace without any burden.

At same time me and Vicz entered in class, we smiled at each other. We sit together, start talking with each other on personal topics.

Vicz: You live in joint and nuclear family?

Siya: Joint, and you?

Vicz: Mine joint as well. In fact I live with a totally crazy and fun loving people.

Siya: Wow, cool. My family is typical sophisticated and orthodox one. They are completely opposite of my nature.

Vicz: You should meet with my family one day as they will love you plus they will love me too.

Siya: I would love too meet them. Tell me something about them.

Vicz: All the females in my home are great cooks, once you eat their food you would love it. My mother loves to tease me too the core and sometimes do embarrass me in front of other family members or relatives. And yeah they love to enjoy and spend every little moment of life.

Siya: That's great. My family members mostly stays strict and serious and if they have to enjoy or celebrate it, they would behave like "don't do this, don't do that". In the end we won't be able to celebrate the moment to its fullest.

Vicz: ohh Okay.

As the conversation goes to end, teacher scolded us..

Teacher: You two either get out of the class or keep quite.

We two share a giggle. In the end bell goes off and we walk together towards the cab stand talking and laughing. As we reached there she picked her bike, we said good bye to each other and she took her leave from there. Then only I notice Erik standing there, looking at me with surprised eyes and I move a bit close to him to talk.

Siya: What happened?

Erik: I have never seen you talking too much or laughing with me, but with your friends you are a bit different. Why so?

Siya: Umm Its nothing like this. It just I am comfortable and free with them plus they are good friends of mine.

Erik: (Sternly) and I am not?

Siya: (Shit, guilty and nervous laugh) haha I am just kidding. We should leave from there, its time to go home.

Though his expressions remained stern but he agreed and we took our lead from there. When I reached home, I am already upset for making Erik mood sad but my house environment is tense too but I just ignore it. I goes to my room freshen up and then eat some food. Then my Aunt and grandmother called me to their room, and conversation with them spoiled my mood more.

PA: You know what you mother did today, your grandmother (GM) fall toady. Though she don't get injured too much but your mother come and said "thank god, your bones don't get cracked up, in this age they won't get repaired back soon"

Siya: (Internally, what's wrong in this. My mother is actually right, they are over reacting) ohh okay.

GM: She don't have manners to talk, how can she talk to me like this. At our time we won't be able talk to our mother in laws, but see now how your mother is behaving.

PA: Even I never spoke to my mother in law in this manner. But your mother, since the day she comes in this house.. she never loved or cared for us and she always remained close to their birth family members.

Siya: (I am just thinking, my mother can't be that bad or can she? I don't like this, all such conversations I hear from them related to my mother seems so stupid and gross) Okay I should leave, I have some pending assignments to complete.

GA & PA: Okay

With this I go to my room, do some studies and after 2 hours, I go to terrace and plug some music in my ear, has a conversation with moon. After getting relaxed I called it a night.
