'I guess I'm going to head back to training now. Maybe Shisui is at the training grounds.'

Izuna decided to head there right away, wanting to put in some extra effort to the nature transformation training he is doing with his sensei. Maybe Shisui could help him too. He had to know something about it, right?

About Shisui, he recently got promoted to jonin after one of his missions. This is, however, something Izuna knew about but didn't get the opportunity yet to congratulate him on.

Shisui managed to come out victorious in a A-rank mission where he lead his genin team as a chunin. The mission was originally C-rank, but was recalculated after they were attacked by shinobi.

The elders deemed Shisui strong enough, so they promoted him right away.

(A bit later, at the training grounds)

"Izuna! Hey there!"

"Oh, hey, Shisui."

"How was your last mission?"

"It was short." Izuna thought back to the bandits he destroyed. "Oh, that's right! Congratulations on your promotion to jonin, Shisui!" he said, slightly bowing towards his friend.

"Haha, thank you, Izuna. So, what are you doing here today? Aren't you usually training with your sensei?"

"Not today, no. I do want to keep training, however, so I came here hoping to find you. I actually thought you might be able to help me."

Shisui looked curiously towards Izuna. He was always happy to help his friends with anything possible.

"Sure, what do you need help with?"

...

"The Sharingan" Izuna said, before sending chakra to his eyes, making them turn red.

"Oh? You need help mastering your sharingan?" Shisui got more intrigued.

"Yes. I've noticed that my body can't keep up with my eyes on some instances, and I want to solve this."

"Then you've come to the right person." Shisui said as his eyes formed a three tomoe Sharingan.

'The third tomoe?! Shisui already evolved his Sharingan to it's full potential?!' Izuna thought, amazed by this view.

It's been a while since Izuna last saw Shisui like this. And the last time, he only had two tomoe.

'He really is amazing. No wonder he got promoted to jonin already.'

"If the problem is that you can't keep up with what you see, then speed is what you lack, meaning the only solution is to become faster." Shisui said before disappearing.

'Behind me?'

Izuna turned around to see his friend holding his tanto in his right hand.

"See? You could notice me going behind you, but couldn't react to it. Once you become faster, with the Sharingan you will be unstoppable."

'I could barely see it. I didn't know Shisui was this fast!'

"Now let's stop wasting time and get to it. Try to fight me like this!"

Shisui started running insanely fast towards Izuna. So fast that even before Izuna could turn around, he was already thrown back five meters by his punch.

Izuna got back up and tried to retaliate. Throwing punches left and right, mixing kicks in between, he was failing to even touch Shisui. Just three seconds later he got kicked in the back and shoved to the ground.

"You'll have to try harder than that."

'Then... maybe it's time to test this out...'

Izuna stood still looking as calm as ever. He soon started concentrating chakra into his right hand.

'What is that?' Shisui thought. 'What does he plan to do? Is that some sort of jutsu? Or maybe...' Shisui's expression changed. 'No way...'

After gathering chakra into his hand, Izuna let out a groan and tried changing the chakra into lightning. Sparks started to come out. First a few, then more, then his whole hand was engulfed by lightning.

Izuna started running towards Shisui, holding his right hand with his left. He sprinted at full speed, and was way faster than ever before.

"This speed, this technique!"

Shisui was about to be hit by Izuna's new jutsu, but he dodged just in time. He stood next to a tree with his shirt ripped apart in the center and with a few small burn marks. Just a second later and he would have been greatly injured!

Izuna, on the other hand, was breathing heavily, standing in the place from where Shisui dodged. His hand turned back to normal, but also had slight burns from the jutsu.

"Izuna! This technique, it's nature transformation! I can't believe you managed to master such an advanced form of chakra control! Even if incomplete, this jutsu is strong enough to almost defeat even me!"

"Incomplete?" Izuna said, between breaths.

"Yes. I noticed that the time it takes you to gather the chakra in your hand and change it's nature is too long. You would need to use hand seals in order to reduce that, and it would be incredibly effective in combat. Did your sensei teach you this technique?"

"Not quite. I trained in nature transformation with him, but never showed him this. The reason is, it's very unstable."

"And I know why it's so unstable." Shisui looked towards Izuna with a grin on his face. "It's the same as your Sharingan, Izuna! If you become faster, you will be able to control this jutsu way better."

Izuna turned towards Shisui with a shocked expression.

'That's right! Speed! This jutsu focuses on speed and power! Because of the lightning nature, my speed and power increase greatly, allowing my hand to destroy things easily, but because my body can't normally keep up with this speed, it becomes unstable!'

"Shisui!" he yelled. "Teach me how to get faster!"

"Of course! But let's take a break, alright? You almost got me earlier!"

"Sure, but I do not want to waste any ti-"

Izuna was interrupted by a very loud bang.

Looking towards the center of the village, they saw a giant cloud of smoke appearing, and from it emerging a giant creature.

"Is that?... No way! This is really bad!"

"What's happening, Shisui?!"

"No time to explain! I need to get you to shelter, now!"
