"You know, I can still feel the awkwardness between us. How many times do I have to say that I am over the past?" Aurora asked as they took a calm ride back to Vincent's home on the horse he had been given. Vincent had an arm around her waist to keep her from falling off but he had not spoken a word from the moment he helped her get on the horse. "Perhaps, are you still surprised by this?"
"Yes. I thought you wouldn't be able to remember the past any time soon. You should have told me you were hurting."
"Were you going to ignore the vampires if I told you?" She turned her head to the side to get a look at him.
"I would have ordered more guards to be around you. I should have known someone would take the chance to go at you while I was gone. That was my mistake. I am sorry," he apologized. Something bad could have happened to her and Cherry had she not regained her memories and tricks. He would never be able to forgive himself if he lost her again.
