Amour Interdit.(forbidden love) Chapter 1.

"Meli what were you thinking?" King Leonard roared furiously to her daughter Meli who was sitting across him inside his office.

Melissa a nineteen years beautiful girl, she had brown chocolate wavy hair that reached her shoulder with silver eyes, apparently her life was at stake, she was secretly in love with her bodyguard and her father the King happens to found out last night.

"Papa forgive me I didn't mean to disappoint you, b..but I love him." Meli said looking down at her hands .

"Stop saying you love him, what can he offer you?furthermore, how will I explain this to people, that my only daughter, the only princess of Owalo kingdom is in love with a simple bodyguard." King Leonard scolded furiously standing from his seat.

"Papa I can't change how I feel I really love h....."Meli stated but before she could finish her sentence she received a hot slap across her face.

"I warned you not to say you love that man." King Leonard stated with a gritted teeth.

Meli looked at her father unable to believe that her father just did that to her, it was his first time slapping her, the tears she has been trying to hold for a long finally trimmed at her beautiful face.

That instance a woman wearing a blue gown, she was a little tall and her brown hair fell down her back beautifully, it can only take a moment for someone to realize that she was the queen of Owalo Kingdom and mother to Meli, they have the same features.

Meli didn't dare looked at her. She was a disappointment to her parents. Of all the people why did she have to fall for the bodyguard.

"We arranged your marriage long time ago with the Crown prince of Gwenu Kingdom, I was planning to tell you this on your twentieth birthday but now I have no choice but to tell you, beside, Gwenu Kingdom has been sending us letters asking when will be the wedding but I kept on ignoring them, because I felt like you were not ready but after what I witnessed last night I don't think I should wait anymore, I will tell them that you are ready and they should choose the date of the wedding." King Leonard blurted it all out looking at her daughter.

Meli looked at her father with a complete horror on her face. Arranged Marriage? when? how? what she feared finally happened. She knew as a princess you were never to choose whom to marry.

"Papa you can't do this, I will do anything and everything but please don't marry me off to the prince I do not love." Meli said with tears rolling down her cheeks

"I am sorry Meli but you give me no choice." King Leonard stated with finality.

"Mama." Meli called looking at her Mother.

"I am sorry darling but your father is right." Comes her mother's answer.

Meli looked at both her parents in disbelief and shook her head, run out of the room and banged the door behind her.

Outside, she held her dress and run across the halls until she reached her chamber, she closed the door and let herself slide on it as the tears rolled down her cheeks.

As she continue crying, someone knocked on the door, she was planning to ignore it but when she heard the voice she quickly opened.

She puts her arms around her as she continue to cry , "It's over nanny it's over,Papa found out everything and I don't know what to do, please tell me what to do." She cried.

"Shh calm down dear." Maggie told her as she directed her to sit down.

Maggie has been Melissa's hand maid since she was a little girl, she was the only one who knew her secret, she has been taking care of her like her own daughter, She knew what was happening but she choose to keep it a secret despite knowing the consequences.

"Unfortunately their is nothing you can do dear, you will have to do what your parents tells you to do." comes Maggie's answer.

"Even if they forcefully marry me off to the man I do not love at all?" Asked Melissa.

"Yes, you will learn to love him."

"No nanny, I don't think I will be able to love anyone as much as I love him and I don't think I can live without him,you know he is like the air that I breathe and their is no one in this world who can live without air." She stated a little calm starring at the obscure.

"You will learn how."

"No nanny I don't think is going to be easy, not seeing him the whole day almost drove me crazy imagine not seeing him at all,no I don't think I can survive, their must be a way we can be together." She said then stood up and went to the window.

"Meli why did you say that , even if they forcefully marry you to the man you don't love?"

"Apparently Nanny, I am spoken for."

"To who?" Maggie asked while standing.

"A crown prince of Gwenu Kingdom." She knew that Kingdom, it was the second big kingdom, they were neighbors with them.

That moment the door cracked open and her father was the first one to walk in, followed by her mother.

"Maggie do you mind waiting outside?" King Leonard asked.

"Yes your highness." She bowed then left the room.

"I already wrote the letter, we might get the answer by tomorrow, till then stay away from that man."

King Leonard said, nodded to queen Elsa then left.

"Come here my dear let's have a mother daughter talk." She said tapping on the couch signaling her to sit next to her.

"No Mama if you're going to scold me don't bother I have had it already with Papa." She said walking away from the window.

"Actually I am not hear to scold you, I just want us to talk."

"Alright Mama let's talk." She said taking a seat next to her.

"How long has been this going on?" asked the queen.

"A..about weeks ago."

"I can't believe this and you have never even bother to tell me." She was shocked but she managed to put a calm face.

"I did not with a reason, no one could have accepted that I was in love with a simple bodyguard."

"Now things have taken term to the worse, I am sure the King of Gwenu will not think twice before agreeing to his son to Marry you, he has been desperate, he has sent us letters three times."

"Mama I can't,,I don't want to marry someone I don't love, you know I want to marry someone I love, just like you and Papa, I like how you two adore each other." She said with a breaking voice then clasp her hands with her mother's looking at her intently.

"Don't worry everything will work out, Now get ready and come down stairs dinner will be served soon." The queen said then left.

Melisa was left alone on the couch. "Why? why does it have to be this way? why was I even born a princess?" She scolded as she continue to cry until tears were no more, after taking a quick bath she went downstairs.

No one uttered a word people were talking with their food, Melissa glance at her father and her mind went back to what happened in his office, it was the first time her father slapped her and it was also her first time talking back to her father that way. Looking at him now made her regret what she did.

"Papa can we talk later before I retire to my chamber." Asked Melissa.

"Okay, I will be in my office." He said and she nodded.

After she finished, she chat with her mother a bit, bid her goodnight then went to her father.

King Leonard was in a daze when a knock on the door suddenly jolted her back, "Come in." he answered.

"Melissa, what did you want to talk about." Comes her father's question.

"I wanted to apologize for what happened earlier." she started.

"Is okay, I am also sorry for slapping you."

"I deserved it though."

After the apologies they chatted a little then She retired to her chamber before that, she bid him goodnight with a hug. No matter what her father will always be her father.

That night Meli didn't sleep she turned her head on the pillow till morning, in the morning she woke up excited, she was happy because she will get to see him.

After bathing she wore her best dress, his favorite colour, she walked gracefully to the dinning table, she found her Mother already having breakfast, Looked around and their was no sign of him. Her heart twisted, but not in a good way.

"Good morning Mama." She greeted with a kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning darling."

"Where is Papa?" She asked taking a seat.

"Did someone just asked about me?" He asked in a playful tone.

"Good morning princess." She greeted also with a kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning Papa."

"Darling." King Leonard said with a light kiss on the lips.

After breakfast Melissa decided to walk around to look for him, her eyes were were longing to see him and she was dying to hug him, since yesterday she

has not seen him, since he didn't know that her father saw them, should he be around here somewhere.

"Where is he?" She started to feel like something was a miss, this was strange by now he could have been here walking beside her in this garden holding hands and stealing kisses from each other when no one was watching.

Melissa and Lukas they normally meet by the door of her chamber If not there then at the dinning or in the garden and that is if he only arrived late, but today he was nowhere to be seen. Their was this sadness that was starting to build inside her heart which she didn't like.

She took a seat in the swing in the garden as her imagination run wild, Did her father confront him and told him to leave her alone or maybe he saw her father and he decided not to come, no, what could have happened? why isn't he here yet? Emotion were starting to build up. She was still lost in her thoughts when someone interrupted her.

"Princess Melissa, His highness is looking for you." It was one of the male servant.

"Okay I will be there."

"Oh wait h....ha...have you seen Lukas is just I have been looking for him everywhere but I can't seem to find him I wanted him to take me somewhere, Do you have any Idea where he could be?" Melissa stammered she was completely lying.

"No Princess I haven't seen him."

"If you see him please tell him that I am looking for him."

"Okay I will do that Princess."

As she headed to his father's Office he wondered why he was calling her all of a sudden.

"Come in"

"Papa you called for me?"

"Yes Meli, take a seat."

Meli didn't like what was happening at all, it was sending a bad vibe in her spine.

"Alright Papa." She said taking a seat, her heart was pounding hard.

"King Otis already reply to my later and it s..." before he could finish Queen Elsa entered.

"Is good you're here the later is already here I was about to break it to her." He told and Elsa nodded.

"The results is the King has agreed and the weeding will be in two days which I find it splendid."

"What?" they both gasped in unison.

"Your Highness that is too soon." the queen was the one who spoke.

"Someone please tell me this is not happening."

"Yes is happening Meli, in two days from tomorrow."
