Amour Interdit (Forbidden Love.) Chapter10.

Since many things has happened between them she wondered if she should put the pillows or not and if she didn't put the pillows what will it mean to him?

After struggling for long she decided to put them and she slept looking the other side.

Once she looked the other side Demetrius opened her eyes.

"I can't believe she was staring at me,,,he stated inwardly,,,all this while I thought she disliked me, I guess I must be making a good progress, keep the good work Demetrius very soon she will come running to you." he rejoiced inside he didn't know how but he fell asleep smiling like an idiot.

Meanwhile inside prince Charles bedroom.

"Mom what are you doing here?" Prince Charles asked annoyed.

He was drinking in the dark with some few candles on when his mother came and switched on the light.

"And what do you mean by that? I came to check on my son." She stated walking towards him.

She knew his son was suffering he wanted to be the next king but since Demetrius was the oldest he would never take the thrown unless he is dead, her mother also wanted her son to one day sit on the thrown and so he swear to do everything and anything to for him to one day to sit on the thrown.

They have tried killing him in every way but he normally managed to escape, they didn't know what was wrong that even God was rejecting him.

After what they saw earlier they were afraid that the heir will be born soon and taking Demetrius down will be hard, they needed to do something quickly and kill him without that happening.

Her mother walked towards him and took the glass away together with the alcohol he was taking.

"Give it back!" He stated he was starting to get a little drunk.

"No son go take some rest, let's talk tomorrow."

"No mom I am tired, why can't he die already, I mean we have been trying for so long but still we haven't succeeded yet." He said and her mother quickly covered his mouth not to talk anymore, what if the king hears the nonsense he was spouting out, if that happens it will be the end of them.

"Come on son get some rest." He said taking him to bed and he calm down a bit and when she turned to leave, the king was standing there.

Did he hear what his son just blurted.

"Your highness what are you doing here?" She asked nervously.

"Nothing I just came from Helena's bedroom and I saw you here."

"Okay let's go." She stated frantically she was afraid of what Charles might blurter out.

Demetrius was woken up by someone calling his name it was none other than the goddess who was sleeping next him.

"My lady, My lady,, My lady,,,He could hear that he was on the verge of breaking down what was wrong with her and why was she calling his name in her dream.

He switched on the light and went where she was sleeping.

He called several times but she didn't respond, he hesitantly touched her shoulder to shook her, he shook her and she shot her eyes open, the moment she saw that it was him, her eyes went straight to his face.

She caress his face tenderly making sure that she was right in front of her eyes,

"Are you really here?" She asked. Demetrius was was shocked by what she did next. what dream did she had that made her lost her memory.

She held her hands tenderly her action warmed his heart and he was falling madly in love with her everyday. "Yes I am here my love." he answered.

The next moment what she did shocked them both she wrapped her slender arms around him, Demetrius hesitated for a while before wrapping his strong hands around her.

They stayed in that position until she calmed down. Then she broke from the hug, and looked at him.

Oh wow! Demetrius was going to explode with ecstasy.

"Should we go back to sleep?" He asked and he nodded.

"You want to talk about the dream?" He asked and she answered no.

Demetrius switched off the light just from the corner of his bed, climbed back to bed and he could feel like she was still scared.

"My lady if you're scared, I can protect you inside here and no one will be able to harm you even in your sleep." He said opening his hands for her.

Melisa found what he was doing quite amusing, no one will be able to harm her in her dream!

"What are you doing?" She asked harshly and Demetrius's hope that he has been building came down crumbling he thought that she was starting to like him, just like a moment ago when she gave him that tight hug and caress his cheek.

Understanding this women is not easy. He got closed to her, he could see her beautiful face shining in the ray of the moon that was shinning outside.

"My lady are you furious with me?" He asked trailing his fingers on her face sending electricity shock on her entire body.

For a moment she couldn't talk. Demetrius looked at her with a tender gaze, when she realized what he was doing she snapped.

Could she really tell him that she was starting to fall! no! things must not change between them.

"Like i told you earlier, i never wanted to get married."

"Like I also told you earlier i didn't want to get married, My lady if we can't treat each other like husband and wife at least we can try as friends then that way we will be able to understand each other better."

Why did it break her heart when he said we can be friends?

"And what do you mean by that your highness."

"You don't want me as your husband right??he asked and she seems like she didn't like that question at all,,,,,so we can treat each other like friends."

"Okay your highness I will sleep on it." She answered.

"Okay, I am going to remove this pillows since I am going to be your friend, I will not harm you in anyway or do anything bad to you." He said and Melissa turned her back on him.

As much as it hurts Demetrius he had to pretend, he knew she was starting to feel something for him, he was already hers, when it comes to her he would do anything.

Melissa didn't want him as his friend, she wanted everything but not to be his friend especially after the dream she had about him, tiny bit of her knew she like him very much but Lukas was haunting her, she closed her eyes and her mind drifted back to him

It all started that fateful day, She was walking around heading to her garden to finished her novel when she suddenly bumped into someone who was masculine and their she was going to fall down.

She closed her eyes to feel the pain on her butt when suddenly a strong hands encircled her waist and she slowly opened her eyes, She couldn't help but wonder who dared to touch a princess publicly like this. Did he know it was prohibited.

She slowly opened her eyes, what her eyes saw was completely what she was not expecting, It was a handsome young man, He had a small trimmed beard which were beautiful in her eyes and on his right ear he was wearing an earring with sign of a cross, he had rounded small lips pointed nose with thin eyelashes which were now flashing slowly as he stairs at her.

Melissa couldn't help but wonder, who he was. He has never seen that kind of face before, he must be new in the palace, but who was he serving?

"Are you okay Princess?" the man asked once he was able to make her stand still, bringing her back from the trail of questions she had on her head.

"Ye....Yes I... I am fine thank you." She stammered looking at him.

"I am sorry I was not looking where I was going."

"Don't worry it's fine it is also my fault I was not looking where I was going."

"Here,...he said handing over her book which fell miles away... It's a nice book."

"Thank you, have you read it?"

"Yes but I haven't finished it yet I am chapter twelve."

"Yes indeed it is, who is your best character so far?"

"So far I think it is Nance, Alright princess I think I should get going, it was nice meeting you."

"It was nice meeting you too." Melissa watched his retired back he was still staring when suddenly he turned and waved and he waved back, even though he had disappeared around the corridors Meli was still waving her hands.

At the moment Maggie happens to pass and was surprised to see her waving her hands, she couldn't help but wonder who she was waving too. She tap her fingers twice infront of her face but she didn't react until she did it for the third time.

Melissa snap quickly and ask Maggie what was wrong? she pointed her hand and she put them back in embarrassment.

"Why were you waving your hands princess?" Asked Maggie with Squinted eyes.

"Nothing, I am going to the garden see you later." She said then sprinted away.

Before she went further she stood on a corner and placed her palm in her chest it was pounding like something else, it started the moment he encircled his strong hands around her waist staring at him it was magical, she felt things she had never felt before. After calming her heart down for a bit she proceeded to the garden.

When she arrived in the garden it was quite like always just the way she liked it, after reading like two pages of the book she got interrupted and it was Leah.

"Pardon me princess, His highness is calling for you."

"Why can't i just read my book in peace, what does Papa wants now." She muttered silently.

"Sorry princess did you say something?"

"No I'll be there soon."

"He is in your parents garden."

"Okay."

Upon reaching the garden she was surprised to see the strange man with her father.

"Papa you called for me?"

"Yes my princess, I want to introduce you to someone."

"Lukas come over here, this is my daughter, princess Melissa, Melissa this is Lukas he is the one who is going to be you personal bodyguard."

She almost forgot that he doesn't have a bodyguard since the last one left an announced.

There was no way this beautiful Man was going to be her new bodyguard. She was surprised.

"Pleasure to meet you Lukas." Melissa said elongating her hands for shake with a friendly smile.

"Pleasure is all mine My lady." Lukas returned her smile.

After they greeted each other, Lukas took an oath, since that day Lukas had never left her side, well until few days ago. And when she went to see him he was in that condition it was entirely her fault.

Again she remembered when he gave her first kiss, she was about to take a bath when suddenly the water from the bath tab was not coming she was to inform her father but he offered to help.

When Lukas was done he called her to check if it was working and she came, she opened the shower and water gushed out, but it was cold, she wanted to run but she slid, she was about to fall but once again he saved her.

He brought her closer to him he couldn't hide he needed to tell this princess how he felt because he was losing it.
