"Should we go and see how Demetrius is doing?" Helena asked, she didn't want to hear more of that topic.

On the way she kept thinking did she do a good thing by cutting all ties with her mother and brother? What if she was over doing things? But what they did was totally unforgivable.

If her father dares to find out, she was sure that they will just beheaded, their was no other punishment for the crime they have committed.

"Are you okay darling." Alex asked since she saw like she was troubled.

"I am okay." She replied.

She knocked in the door and Rosa opened. They found Melissa staring at her husband. Rosa and Enid were dismissed they went to the kitchen, and all they could ask themselves going to the kitchen was. Who tried to kill the Prince.l Demetrius.

They also didn't know who would want to kill the Prince, and also with poison.

They reached in the kitchen and everyone was gossiping about it in the kitchen, of tried to kill the prince.

But there was particular woman her name was Emily, she was alone in the corridor, she was just listening to the gossip that her fellow servants were saying.

When she heard that the prince was tried to killed with poison, she knew immediately who made that attempt, she also heard when the doctor said it was the deadliest poison, but she didn't understand why the prince didn't die, was he protected by some spirits or some sort of angels?

During that time she was hiding by the door of the hall, after everyone was sent away by the king. She can still remember few years ago, that was the same poison she used to Kill the first Queen with.

She was paid by the current Queen to always put on the tea after they make it but not a lot, just few to kill her slowly. The poison can kill slowly and it can also kill instantly.

And she used to put the one that kills slowly, the Queen wanted everyone to know that the queen died from her illness and so one suspected that it was poison that killed her.

And she was sure if they never poison the late Queen she could have lived many years. Now she was regretting doing it.

Sometimes she even thought of telling anyone but she will get threatened, or maybe she was scared.

"Does anyone knows who tried to kill the Prince?" She asked joining the gossip.

"No there are still looking into it." Enid replied.

"Poor Princess she must be devastated." She said.

"Yeah I wish I can help her with anything just like she helped me that day." Rosa said.

Their faces were all sullen. And Emily hought maybe this was the best opportunity to mend what she broke long time ago maybe this was the chance she was waiting for to finally come clean.

"Has she made improvement at all?" Helena asked.

"No he is just the same." Meli answered, She was really gloomy.

"Don't worry, he will be fine ." Helena stated rubbing her back.

There was no doubt about that, if he survived that deadliest poison, he will just need time.

"He just need time, by the way Helena do you have any idea of who would want to harm Demetrius." Melissa asked looking up at her.

Helena didn't get it, why everyone was asking her if she knew anyone who would want to harm Demetrius.

"No." She lied, why the hell was she still protecting them.

The room went silent for sometime before a knock on the door broke the silence. Helena went and opened the door.

When Meli saw who it was. "what are you doing here?" She asked standing up where she was sitting.

"Relax Meli I am not here to create any trouble." Helena replied.

"How can I be sure about that? may be it was you who tried to kill Demetrius because you couldn't have him for yourself right?." She accused glaring at her.

"Meli that is a strong accusations and I can swear right now that I had nothing to do with Demetrius condition." She defended.

"How can I trust?" She didn't calm down a bit.

"Apparently you have no choice but to trust me, now we have to come close in order to find out who did this, now I am sure the person behind this is plotting something else because the plan of killing Demetrius didn't work, so we must find this person before they make the next move."

Ivy exclaimed hopping they would make her stay, there was nothing that was important for her now than Demetrius's health.

Meli finally back down, Helena had a point since they didn't succeed, they will come back to finish him off, especially now that he was defenseless. She will watch Demetrius twenty four seven.

"You have a point, do you have any idea who could have done this?" Meli asked going back on her spot.

"I have but I don't want to accuse anyone without evidence."

"You have???Helena asked was she also suspecting her brother and mother did she know anything about them???Is she someone from this palace?" Helena asked.

"Ivy you got to tell us so we can watch our backs." Alex added.

"I am sorry guys I want to be sure first at least I want to find evidence first." Helena said.

"Yeah, we understand but I need to know if the person you're suspecting is from here in the palace or not." Helena said almost demanding. She wanted to know badly.

Helena looked at her, poor thing didn't even know what her mother and brother were plotting, she simply can't tell her, that she was suspecting them at least not yet.

"No....there are not from here in the palace." She lied.

That was a relief.

Since Helena walked out of that door the Queen hasn't stop crying, the harsh word she said still rotates in her head.

From the moment she saw her eyes tearing up until she said her last words. It hurts so much, she didn't consider about her feelings at all before planning what she planned. She didn't even think about it at all.

A parent's special day was the day she sees her child getting married. But her why couldn't she give her daughter one thing she wanted, what kind of mother is she?

Charles comforted his mother, she knew what his sister said real crushed her as mother, there was nothing he could do to ease her pain they choose this life they have to Walk through it till the end.

"Charles I thought you were suppose to leave once the wedding was over." The king asked.

People were having dinner, They served Meli dinner in her room, So it was only the king, the queen then Helena and her husband Alex, then Ivy and Charles.

"Father I would leave but with what is going on, I felt like staying for a while,,,,,don't worry father once Demetrius come around I will leave." He said that is if he will ever come around at all.

The king didn't dare argue with him. Helena couldn't understand why someone would lie like that. Doesn't he have any feelings at all?

Since they came, she hasn't made an eye contact with either of them, she feels like she hates them, but hatred was a strong word especially towards your family.

After dinner was over, Everyone retired, Ivy was given a guest house near, Melissa's chamber, Helena went with Alex to her room.

Earlier they asked Meli if she would mind if they could spend the night with her but she refused saying she can manage.

"My lady if you want we can spend the night with you." Rosa stated.

"There is no need to worry girls I will be okay."

Why was suddenly everyone wanted to spend the night with her, first it was Helena then Ivy, then two girls.

She rested next to him with her hands wrapped around him, she only wished he would just turn and hug her out of the blue.

"I promise when you wake up I will not give you a chance to escape or suffer, I will always protect you, I will always make sure that I taste everything you want to eat." She mumble, the wipe away her the tears which running on her face, Before drifting off to sleep.

It was past two, when two people were lurking on Melissa's doors, their faces were curved,

They looked around if someone was watching, when they were sure that no one was watching. They opened the door slowly, they thought that they will have to deal with the door first before getting to her but they were wrong the foolish girl didn't lock the door.

One man tiptoed to Melissa's side, carried her from the bed and dashed through the door, and to down stairs.

Meli was suddenly woken from her sleep, she felt someone grabbing her from the bed and she wasn't sure if they were climbing down the stairs, at that moment what she wanted was the man to put her down.

"Wait what are you doing, who are you and where are you taking me?" She asked beating the back of the person and the person didn't even answer.

"I asked where are you taking me?" put me down." She stated again but the person never answered.

She started to shout for help, what was happening? whatever was happening was not good at all, when will she wake up from this nightmare.

It took her so long to realize what was happening she was being taken away from Demetrius so that they can finish her completely, finally there were going to kill him, she was the only obstacle on their way, her poor husband can't even defend herself now.

The thought of it made her eyes welled up. "Demetrius wake up." She shouted at the top of her lungs.

But she knew it was useless her husband couldn't here her, "Help me someone please help me ."she shouted again, it felt like no one heard her, everyone was probably asleep, the next thing she heard was a creaking sound of the door being opened.

She was put down on the chair, they tied her hands behind her, her mouth was sealed with a piece of cloth and he also blindfolded her eyes, the next moment she felt the rope being tied around her that She couldn't move at all.

Just what was happening to her now? just today his husband got poisoned and miraculously he survived and now she was being tied on chair, just what did she do to deserve.

She tried to move but she was tied tight to the chair. Her mouth tried to make unnecessary noise that couldn't be heard.

Ivy who couldn't sleep, still thinking how she will be expose the two people, she heard the noise, first she thought that someone was dreaming loudly but she got the second time, she went outside her chamber she switched the on the light of the corridor then aw that Melissa's door was wide open.

She quickly rushed there to see what was wrong and he found two men trying to take Demetrius and Melissa was not in the room.

"You guys what are you doing?" She asked topping them on their track.

They quickly dropped Demetrius back on the bed and started to fight her and since she was the master of fighting, she overpowered them and they ran.

Wondering how a woman could have empowered them.

After that she he put Demetrius well on the bed then went off to look for Meli, but she didn't find her anywhere.

"Did they abduct her? Was it the noise that I heard?" She asked herself franticly, before thinking of anything else she went to tell the rest of the family.

She knocked on Helena's chamber and the couple immediately opened the door.

"What is it Ivy? What do you want this late?" Alex asked.

"I think Meli has been abducted I can't see her anywhere." She stated frantically.

"What do you mean she has been abducted?" Suddenly Helena asked with a twitch face, what do her mother and brother want what they were aiming at by trying to abduct Meli. What did she do wrong?

"Yes Helena I heard some noises and when I went to check I found the door open I went inside to inspect but instead I found two men trying to take Demetrius." She stated still standing by the door.

"Trying to take Demetrius? Is she okay?" Helena asked with a Total shock.

"Yes luckily he is okay, I managed to stop the two men."

Helena storm out of their and to her parents chambers, to inform her father.
