For about ten minutes, Keira Leaf's forehead was permeated with sweat beads, and her lips turned white without a hint of color.
"Knife..."
"Tweezers..."
Finally, over half an hour later, the pain slowly subsided, and Keira Leaf was acutely aware that this eye could no longer see any light at all; half of her world was pitch black.
Medicine and gauze soon covered her eyes, and a faint bloody scent filled the air. Keira Leaf's body went limp, and the corner of her mouth twitched slightly, forming a faint curved smile.
Professor Lewis looked at the sweat on Keira Leaf's forehead, wrinkled his brow and softly said, "Even with anesthetic, there will be some pain during the removal, so don't worry, everything has gone smoothly so far."
Keira Leaf whispered, "Remove the other one."
