"Now, in order to use magic, you must first master how to circulate the flow of mana inside your body first." Maria explained to Nayari, both of them stood in a separate corner to everyone.

"In order to do that, you have to focus and imagine which part of your body you want the mana to flow to. The easiest one would be your hands, but you can basically direct it to any part you want to."

"It sounds difficult, and it may also a bit hard to get a grasp of it right at the start but it will become second nature after you've mastered it."

"Understood." Nayari nodded his head and closed his eyes, focusing on his internal mana flow and raising his right hand outward.

A second later, a semi-translucent magic circle appeared on his hand.

Maria was surprised by how fast he was catching up.

"You're doing pretty good for a first time. Now, as for casting spells, this you have to learn and memorize the spells name, and what elements can be used along the spells. There are spells that can be used with every element, and some that can only be used with specific elements." Maria continued explaining.

"Each spell have a Rank of its own, and you can cast a spell a Rank higher than you at best if you've never cast it before, and in order to utilize an even higher ranking spell, it's usually a group cast or through a medium."

"A spell usually has a chant to go along with it, but you can also cast a chantless spell."

"The more spells you cast of a single specific element, the more proficiency you'll have which allow you to cast a higher ranking spell without the need of others or a medium, and even cast chantless spells, but usually low ranking ones."

Nayari nodded his head, trying to take in the information he was given.

"Speaking of which, what was the magic that you used back then to heal that girl?"

Being caught off guard by the question, the magic circle on his hand flashed a jet black lightning and disappeared.

"Eh? Ah...I don't really know myself...At that moment, I thought to myself that I wanted to save this person, and suddenly the magic activated on its own."

"Hmm..."

"Wait a second, didn't my aptitude test result showed an element named "Heal"?" Nayari searched back his memory.

"Now that you've mentioned it, it did, didn't it?"

"Have anyone discovered an element named "Heal" in the past before?"

"Definitely not. I've researched about magic for a long time and there was no mention of it. Could it be...a new element?!"

"A new element...used to heal people..." Nayari clenched his hand, his face bloomed a small, happy but with a tinge of sadness, smile.

"Nayari?" Maria called out, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"A-Ah, hah?! I'm sorry. Let's continue with our training."

After teaching him the basic spells and elements, Nayari's first day of magic studying ended.

The two of them walked together back to the dorm.

"About your sister...Can you tell me more about her?" He asked Maria.

"Hmm?"

"About her symptoms and stuff like what she eats everyday, what does she usually do everyday. And also let me see her current medicine prescription too if she has one."

"...Many doctors and pharmacists had come over to try and cure her, but none of them succeed except one. He managed to successfully cure her once, and she managed to go to school, but only for a single day. The next day she somehow fell even iller than the last one, and that pharmacist stayed to treat her, but..."

"But?"

"...I don't believe him. He... Nothing. I'll bring you the prescription and her daily activities tomorrow. Goodbye." Maria said before quickly running away towards the girl dorm.

"Goodbye...Something fishy is going on here."

"Ah. Nayari, you're back. How was your first day in the Mage Arena?" Lilith greeted him upon his return.

"I managed to learn some basic. But..."

"Hmm?"

"Why does my body felt familiar when using magic, like I've been using it for a long time..." Nayari mumbled to himself.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing. By the way, did you cause trouble in the Warrior Arena? I heard that you had a fight with one of the students."

"Eh?! Because he ...he"

"He did what?" Nayari looked at Lilith in the eyes, making her blush.

"He insulted my friend without knowing the full story, so I just gave him a lesson, that's all! Also, I had a duel with him, so it was a fight with consent!"

"How can I say that I was angry because he insulted you, you idiot!" She thought to herself, staring at Nayari.

"Well, just don't bring too much attention to yourself. You're disguising after all."

"I-I'll be careful." She said as she remembered about the event that just happened back then with Hiiro.

Another day slowly passed by, unaware of the incoming problems of tomorrow.
