Merry

I stare at Merry shocked.

She looked so much like Glenn.

Ralf tries to nudge Merry to Glenn but she holds on tightly. She finally lets go and faces Glenn. They both stare at each other. Both are nearly identical. Glenn slowly opens her arms up to Merry. Merry looks back at Ralf who nods. She looks back at Glenn and hesitantly steps forward. She slowly hugs Glenn. Glenn slowly hugs her too.

I watch as Glenn begins to cry as she slowly says, “Mama’s here now.”

Merry slowly begins crying as she hears those words, “Mama?” She hugs her tightly as they both begin to cry.

My eyes water as I hug them tightly.

Ralf begins to explain, “Let me explain…”

Before he can say another word, I pull him with us. He looks at me in shock before he hugs us and begins to cry as well.

Merry has cried herself to sleep. Glenn volunteers to put her to bed leaving me, Ralf, and Odin in the living room. Odin walks out the front door saying, “I’ll let you two catch up.”
