I am sorry.

Sasha hissed for the millionth time when she looked at the time. It's been hours since she and Ryan fought and he angrily left, and she has been feeling weird since then.

She looked at her phone as she contemplated calling him. Just then, her phone rang. She took a glance at the screen and saw Natalie calling her.

Meanwhile, Ryan casually extinguished his cigarette in a nearby bowl before he sighed and lolled himself on the couch too, he threw his head back, his eyes staring at the ceiling,

"Did you break up with Sasha?" Mathew cocked a brow at him.

"Shut up!" Ryan warned, startling Mathew.

In the same club, Sasha stopped Natalie from taking another shot. She turned to Natalie's boyfriend John and said, "Take care of her."

In the main hall of the Club, Clark handed the car keys to the waiter for him to park the car. As soon as he entered the club, he saw Sasha leaving with a dazed look on her face.

Clark entered the private VIP room with a sense of familiarity and immediately walked toward a corner.

As the lighting was dim in the corner, only the figure of a tall, well-built man could be seen. A red spark appeared at the corner of his mouth, which was followed by a pillar of smoke slowly rising to the ceiling.

He merely cleared his throat and reported obediently, "Director Shore, I saw Miss Sasha at the entrance earlier."

Ryan, who was planning to light another cigarette, froze in his tracks. Mathew smirked when Ryan unexpectedly finished his vodka shot that had been left aside for a long time.

Sasha halted her steps and took out her phone. She answered the call without even a glance at the caller. "Hello. Who's this?"

"Miss Sasha, I'm Director Shore's secretary, Clark."

"Clark, is there anything I can help you with?" She quickly asked in a low voice.

"Here's what happened—I was supposed to send Director Shore back to his apartment, but the hospital called me just now and told me that my brother was involved in an accident and she's now admitted into the hospital. Can you please do me a favour and send Director Clark home? He's now drunk, so he can't drive and I don't feel safe handing him to anyone else."

Sasha took a deep breath and touched her forehead with a conflicted expression. After a pause, Sasha finally replied, "Alright. Where are you?"

"We're at region A of the parking lot. The lot number is XXX and the car plate is X."

Sasha glanced at her phone before she heaved a sigh. Then, she started walking to the spot where the Clerk mentioned just now.

As soon as she reached there, she saw him pacing anxiously in front of the car with a phone in his hand.

When the security guards saw the car that Sasha had been driving, they quickly lifted the rails and let her in. And so, she entered the basement parking area without any restrictions. After she parked the car, Sasha felt quite troubled.

Ryan was a man who stood at more than six feet. Even though he was not as bulky as a weight-lifter, he was someone who looked slim when he had his clothes on, but he would look quite muscular when he took his clothes off.

Sasha could only grit her teeth and open the car door to help Ryan out of the car.

He placed his arm over her shoulder and rested his weight on her body. Sasha could barely manage. It looked more like he was hugging her intimately. Sasha's face flushed and she felt uncomfortable.

When she got to the apartment, she saw the electronic lock and told him, "Ryan, please open the door."

Ryan clumsily scanned his fingerprint and the door unlocked. Sasha was about to open the door when Ryan pressed her finger on the scanner as well.

The scanner's automated voice said, "Fingerprint authorized successfully."

Sasha frowned and placed him on the couch and walked to the kitchen after wiping the sweat off her forehead.

As she was staring attentively at the fridge, she was startled by the arms that wrapped around her waist from behind, without warning.

Instinctively, she turned her head back to glare at the person behind her with surprise and anger.

"You have scared me."

Ryan bent forward to place his chin on her shoulder.

His scorching breathing blew past her ear. Then, he took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I should ask you before."

Ryan heard him. She heard him apologize and speak so softly to her. His voice was causing some kind of reaction in her body.
