Raider pov

I woke up at 2:47 am I know I'm being specific but whatever I crawl out of bed hearing a whimper. I look over to see Kayla asleep that didn't seem pleased with me leaving the bed

I continued to get up I walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower letting the cold water cool my skin

My tattoos glowed a vibrant red as they cooled in the water "I hate being a celestial" I mumbled feeling better with the heat on my body I noticed the bed was messed up meaning Kayla woke up I sighed and smelled the air following her scent down the stairs into the kitchen

We're I was met with my mom, dad and Kayla all eating. My mom seemed to have been pretty happy today same as my father who seemed in a deep conversation with Kayla

I noticed Kayla was a little uncomfortable with speaking to my father "oh hey raider" my mom said enthusiastically

My mom wore the brightest smile ever "what's the bright smile mom" I asked she smiled "nothing much" she said "nothing much you make the smallest things something much" I said with a high pitched voice

Hearing a chuckle and a giggle over at the table I noticed my father was hiding a smile and my mate was blushing

I looked down to notice I was shirtless, "well damn" I said and as I said that I received a wack from my moms spatula then throwing it into the sink, grabbing a new one she made a hitting motion intending for me to move away from the stove

She was very protective of food, "getting your ass kicked again by your moth-" my father was cut off by a plastic bottle to the face

"What did I do" he asked "you cursed" my mom scolded "yeah yeah" my father said waving his hand back and fourth he was about to be threatened by mom again with another bottle

"Hey hey when we're you doing anti cursing" my father asked "when I'm in a good mood" my mom retaliated with sticking her tongue out at him

With a huff my father sat down and took a chug of water from his cup, "ah I remember now" my father said "raider was scared of the dark until he was 15 years of age" my father said with a smile and peeking at me I glared at him my mate covering her face from laughing

"Hey it was 13 years not 15" I said "no no it was 15 I remember you screamed like a cheerleader in a horror movie" my father started to laugh uncontrollably my mate following "old man you need to learn to keep your mouth shut" Aj said walking in with his hand on his cane "oh shut up boy" my father said still snickering "BOY! I'm as old as you" Aj said sitting at the table accepting the plate my mom handed to him "well whatever" my father said

"You, who are you" Aj said "I'm Kayla,raider's mate" Kayla said "oh you found your mate….spill" Aj said my father looked at Aj and back to me "I don't want to" I said "oh come on" Aj said "he doesn't have to answer your questions Aj" my father said

When my father spoke in your name he called you by it's either he wanted your attention or he might be a little more then pissed "alright I guess" Aj said taking a bite of his food

"Anyway how about you Kayla you seem "comfortable" " my mother said sitting down next to my father "im fine" she said with a small smile yawning "oh tired how sucky" aj said picking up his plate and washing it over at the sink

"Since your not Luna yet you can go back up and rest" my mother offered my father didn't say anything "Brayden something wrong" Aj asked "huh oh yeah" my father said rubbing his chest "damn it he is having a burn attack" i said to my self

I hated seeing my father in pain but he brushed it off "anyway Brayden you enlighten your sons mate with who you actually are or no" aj said "AJ" I warned "no no it's okay I have to tell her some time anyway" my father said drinking his water

"I'm Brayden caldera not moon" my father said with a smile and quiet tone

"WAIT CALDERA As IN CALDERA THE PACK WHICH COLLAPSED 13 years ago" my mate said "yep that one" my mom said "wait then….your Al jamar storm breaker" my mate said "the one and only" aj said and bowed

"Vende-" my mate was cut off by Ben drunkenly falling onto the floor getting a giggle from my mom and a chuckle from both aj and my father

For Being a vendetta he sure has a character build

"Ugh Ava sorry didn't mean to fall there" Ben said getting up and accepting the cup aj held to him

"Then your Ava Henson the human mate of Brayden caldera" my mate said to my mom "yep that's me" my mom said with a little wave "im sitting in a room with 4 legends" my mate was so star gazed she didn't realize the weird looks everyone giving her

"I'm sorry I didn't-" Kayla said "no your okay with being star gazed and what not" my father said with a smile

For people to know my father was the leader of the caldera pack which was actually more of a empire than a pack of wolves he was in cooperation with the United States government

The reason caldera fell was it had all out war with its self the gammas became alphas of the packs they formed in the Caldera territory

Luckily the two packs that stayed behind the Caldera was storm breaker and vendetta

I sat in my chair my tattoos still showing my mom was in a deep conversation with dad and Aj and Ben who looked like they had a plan

"Hey Ava" Ben said lifting her up and just ran my father was stunned for a second then in a blink of an eye he was in-front of them his eyes glowing a purple my mate was so stunned by his speed

"Brayden be reasonable it was a joke" Ben said still HOLDING my mom which she felt uncomfortable "Ben put me down you're hurting me" my mom said with a strained breath

When he placed her down my mom retreated behind my father "don't do that again" my father warned and Ben raised his hands and backed off, I noticed my mom holding her stomach he must've held her too tight I knew my mom didn't like Ben but she seriously is scared right now

"Mom it's okay it was just a joke" i said which seemed to put her at ease but my father stared Ben down

"Brayden it was a joke, I'm sorry I hurt her okay" Ben said with his hands up in a surrender fashion, "I don't care that it was a joke I've told you two before" my father said both Ben and Aj knew they fucked up "look Brayden it was a joke we just simply forgot" aj said walking over in a fancy Englishmen style

"Yeah whatever" my father said still in a protective stance with my mother behind him

"Okay guys come on just come sit back down" i said gesturing to the table

My father and mother sat down ben sitting next to her I noticed she was visibly bothered by the fact Ben sat there

"Ava sit where I was" my father said and mom nodded she took my fathers seat and my father took the seat my mom was in

"Okay. Now we can be fine" as we finished eating and I sat back down when done washing my plate my sister came down and glared at Kayla

"Okay what's with you" my mother said "what" my sister said "Helena moon." My mother said "i don't like her okay" my sister said

I growled "raider." My father warned I scoffed,"it's true she is just a worthless red fang" and as my sister finished a slap wrung out through the room and I saw my mother standing and my sisters head turned to the side

"Fuck you" my sister said and ran back up stairs "damn it" my father said "what" mom said to my dad "I'm tired of this bullshit she pulls" my father said rubbing his temples

I heard small sniffles to my right to see Kayla staring at her lap and tears falling down to her lap

"Kayla." I said but she just got up and ran up stairs and I heard a door slam followed by another I growled….. "raider go to your mate I'll deal with your sister" my father said standing placing a small kiss on mom

"Go rest" I heard him say and she nodded. I walked up stairs following her scent and opened my bedroom door to see Kayla laying in the bed still hearing sniffles from her

"Kayla" i said softly I heard her move but she still was laying down I laid behind her pulling her into a tight hug. Trying to comfort her I rubbed her leg and stomach. "I'm sorry she did that to you" i said to her but no answer she still sniffled I continued to rub her leg and stomach she eventually stopped sniffling and rolled over and stuffed her face into my chest

"I love you" I heard from her muffled voice "love you too" i said kissing the top of her head she loosened her grip on my sweater

She slowly fell asleep next to me I guess she was tired, "thanks mom" I said smiling Kayla's small breathing was so soothing hearing her breathe a little clearer

I snuggled with her, as I tightened my arms around her she moved a little closer

I heard a knock and I look up to see my father

"Hey. Your sister will be moving away she is making a pretty big deal out of it" my father said with a chuckle

"Okay, I can't say I want her to say" I said and with a sigh my father spoke "raider. I get she hurt your mates feelings but she is still your sister, but like you said I can't say that you want her to say but at least say goodbye to your little sister" my father said leaving my room I laid in the bed staring off at the wall I looked down at Kayla

"Kayla" I whispered "Kayla" I said "Kayla " I said a little louder "HUH!" Kayla jumped up

"Yeah yeah I'll get it done" my mate said in a feared voice "whoa Kayla calm down" I said petting her back "oh it's just you" Kayla said laying back down and cuddling next to me

"Hey i have to go do something I'll be back okay" i said and she nodded I walked out of my room locking it so if my sister supposedly takes to long to get ready to leave

She won't be able to attack Kayla, "mom" I said I noticed she was in a even more pissed off mood and my sister and throwing clothes into the suit case she had as my mom stared with no emotion "whoa ela " I said "don't be so hasty" I said "fuck you raider with your pathetic ass mate" she shot at me with a deadly glare "what is so wrong with Kayla" I growled "she's a red fang just a useless red fang" my sister said picking up the suit case and walking out the door

My father walked down and noticed me and mom standing there "I assume it was not so good" he said with a curious look "yeah" my mom said with a breaking voice

"Mom" I said with a quiet voice hugging her "look this might be the best for her" i said and mom nodded but still had watery eyes "Ava come here" my father said and my mom hugged him with a death grip even surprising my father

"This is-" she was gunna continue but my father stopped her "no don't say anything you've already did everything you can" he said

I felt bad that these two will no longer be with me in two months after my father steps down

I asked my self. "How do I say goodbye to someone who's been with me for my whole damn life" I thought tears threatening my eyes I walk up stairs and sit on the stairs leading down to the kitchen and I start to silently cry

I lost my sister now I'm going to lose my mom and dad in a short amount of time "WHAT THE FUCK!" I say in my head tears pouring down my face the world went gray and dark this isn't right

I say to my self time slowed down and color lost their brightness I open my bedroom door after unlocking it and be met with Kayla hugging me and then the world was so colorful again

She's my light on this path. My warmth. My lock

I hug her back and pull her into a kiss that turned into something deeper

"RAIDER! NO!" Kayla said
