By the time Roselia re-opened her eyes, the room was pitch black. She stilled. Dread creped onto her, gripping her by the feet, and keeping her entire body frozen with fear. She couldn't see a single thing, but was certain that it was well into the middle of the night.
What was making matters worse… someone's in the room.
Roselia tried to not tremble, but she couldn't help it. She was terrified. Her heart drummed against her chest, pounding in her ears. She could feel them in the room. Hidden in the darkness. Tucked into the shadows. Ready to pounce at any time.
'All you have to do is scream,' Roselia reminded herself. All she had to do was open her mouth and let out a shrill. Someone was bound to come running. They were werewolves, after all, with superb hearing. Right?
