Chapter 165 Don’t Open The Door

Beth's POV

The blinding white light roused me from my lethargy, and when I slowly opened my eyes, I found myself standing in front of a small narrow wooden door.

I was about ten feet away from it, surrounded by misty black shadows. Only the door in front of me was clear to me.

Should I walk in? I wanted to ask, but no one could give me an answer. I felt like I was in a world where only I existed, and everything seemed unreal.

I stared at the wooden door for a moment and then felt something familiar about it. As if summoned, I walked slowly towards it, stooped, and crouched.

Sure enough, on the threshold, I saw marks carved with fingernails, and the marks were either deep or shallow. As I ran my fingers across them, memories that had faded from my mind came back to me. This is where I lived when I was a kid.
