WHEN my mate arrived looking so calm, I knew something was wrong. Following behind him was Leo, Alpha Dennis, and another man.

“What’s wrong?” I asked Connor as he stood in front of me.

He pulled me to the kitchen leaving the three men in the living room. I gasped when Connor trailed his lips on the curve of my neck. What is wrong with him? We have people waiting for us in the other room and here he was trying to start something we both knew he wouldn't be able to finish.

"How do you know Alpha Maxim?" he asked after gently biting the skin near my mark.

"He's the Alpha's son," I answered in a low voice, trying to stop myself from moaning.

Connor just hummed and then lifted his head to look at me. His eyes were staring intensely.

"What's wrong?" I asked again.

"He claims to be your mate," he said with a growl.

My eyes widened. I pushed Connor away from me and started to walk towards the living room.

"Where are you going?" Connor asked, stopping me by gripping my hand.
