Chapter 1

I blinked twice then slowly opened my eyes… suddenly I closed my ears with my both hands as there was a ringing noise in my left ear… my vision was still a little blurred, it took me a few moments to adjust to the light and sound… what happened here?

We were thrown into a corner in front of our pack house, my home. There were almost around 250 women and children from one quick look, I don't know where the rest are. there were guards beside us making sure we won't try to escape.

I tried to recall getting flashbacks, one second me and Ellie were holding our hands laughing and going back to my home after biding Mike goodbye and the next second there was fire and smoke grenades thrown and bullets flying everywhere. My mom and Emma came running toward us, all the speeches, and gestures were muted and they pulled me and Ellie into a car. But all I could ever think about was my family, my pack so I did something stupid I jumped out of the car when suddenly another grenade was thrown sending me off the ground. How long was I out I don't remember?

Something was being rubbed into my face, then to my hands, it was mud from where we were sitting.

I turned to look at Emma, and watched her worried face " I'm sorry dear.. we have to do this so that they won't find you"

A tear just rolled on my face, and I weakly nodded my head. I felt so helpless even though I wanted to do something I couldn't that was what I had been told to do since I was little, if ever there is an attack, I was my priority. I should escape preventing something terrible from happening they said.

Her face suddenly became stern, then grabbed my shoulders "Angel.. listen carefully.. at no cost you expose yourself. Not even if they threatened to do the extreme to any of us and if you get the chance you RUN!!"

I shook my head" no.. n--o... I ca--nt. I won't lea--ve you all here. No. no... I.."

I was cut off by Emma angrily" don't you dare do anything stupid.."

then her face changed into worry " they won't spare you, my child.. they will do you worst than you can ever imagine."

We then saw two guards coming out of my house " she's not here" One of them said.

" what do mean by she's not here. Where could she go? No way she got time to get away very far even if she did. Check the premises" a tall man 10 times my size said, he was wearing a long leather coat to protect from the cool breeze and sat in front of my house." Alpha said he wants her alive all to himself, don't lose her or you will have to face the punishment" he chuckled evilly.

A shiver ran through my spine ' all to himself' I feared what he will do if they ever find me. Why were they even after me? All my parents said every time I asked them was we will talk about this when I turn 18.

Suddenly I saw a guard pushing a lady into that man's feet I couldn't see her face, but I knew her from anywhere, my heart stopped beating.

" look who we found... Eric..it's the Luna, she was helping some of them to the forest."

The man got up and kicked my mom

" well.. well Luna.. it is pleasure to meet you. ohh my... you're still beautiful for a middle-aged woman. I can keep you If you don't mind"

that man wh*re touched my mom's face and then grabbed her by the chin

" but tell me where your daughter is? You know the alpha said he just wants her alive.. the treasure you have been keeping for a long.. now it's time for you to give her to our alpha.. let him enjoy a little before your whole pack is wiped clean. But if he ever wishes he might even think of keeping her and give you some grandchildren.. you know.." he laughed evilly.

My mom spat on him.. " you b*tch" he slapped her hard across her face.

" never you b*stard.. never. I will never let you touch her. Over my dead body" My mom said.

She might be thinking I'm on my way to warriors pack, little does she know that I escaped from the car and came back to our house when Emma found me on the ground and she brought me with her .. and now I sit along with my people as one among them.

Emma told me what they are planning to do to my pack, they will take the best of us young and beautiful with them, children and old ones to prison and those who stand against them would be killed and thrown away.

Most of our men are killed rest are injured and caged with silver collars. I don't know anything about my father and brothers, the attack was unexpected and we didn't get time to react and we were defeated. Nobody knows how it happened... there must have been a traitor.

I was about to stand but Emma pulled me back ".what are you doing" she snapped.

" Emma if they want me and if they would leave you all then I'm going to surrender. I can't see them suffer .. my mom Emma.. they will kill her." I sobbed.

" you are too stubborn.. your mother is our Luna she can stand for herself and us" she sighed "forgive me, child," she said ," I can't think of another way than this"

I looked at her confused, then only it drowned on me when something pricked my hand, she injected me.

" what..the.." my eyes started blurring, I saw Emma's worried face telling me constantly sorry.. then I looked at my mom, he was grabbing her hair. I so wanted to reach out to her but the blackness took over me.
