19...Mate room...

Barry stared down at my lips, then up into my eyes likes he's asking for permission, then his gaze went down to my lips again.

I was ready to get kissed by him. A real kiss this time. The hot ones I've heard about. Those passionate ones I see in movies.

Barry's lips came closer slowly, almost grazing mine but he suddenly froze like something distracted him. He blinked and muttered something like 'Shit!' under his breath.

I was confused and about to question him when I heard a loud familiar voice calling from downstairs.

"Pixie, baby!!!"

I sighed as recognized the voice.

It's my nana.

My nana.

My eyes grew wide. Oh my fucking goddess!!! My nana!!!

"Shit!!" I also cursed under my breath.

Barry was already off my body before I could even push him away. I frantically searched around for my cloth, but it was nowhere to be found.

Great. Fucking great!

"My top, my top, my fucking top!" I whisper yelled, getting frustrated as I searched the room for it.

Barry grabbed his shirt and handed it to me.

"That's not my top!" I whispered harshly, glaring at him.

"Just put it on quickly to cover up since you can't find your top" He suggested calmly, but I was reluctant to take his shirt. "Except you wanna go out there in a bra and jeans"

My glare deepened but that does not seem to affect him.

"People do it" He added casually like this wasn't a serious situation.

I snatched the shirt from him and my nerves kicked in heavily, making it hard for me to put on the large shirt. It can be viewed as me fighting with the shirt instead of putting it on properly, and my hands would not stop shaking from nervousness.

"Pixie" Barry called with that calm voice, making me wonder how and why he's not freaking out like he's supposed to in this situation.

"Hey, hey" I felt his hand on my shoulder.

Slowly, he began to take the shirt off my since I had put it on in the wrong style, then he helped me put it on in the right way.

His shirt was big, very big. And comfy. It smelled a lot like him, and it makes me rethink giving him back his shirt. I mean, I don't think I'd like to give it back to him with this nice scent its got.

I sighed and was about to turn around when he quickly grabbed my hand to stop me. His hold around my wrist was firm but gentle.

"Pixie" He uttered my name softly.

"Yeah?"

"I'm leaving your nana's pack house soon" He sighed, releasing my hand "After now..." His eyes bore into mine "We should avoid each other, that will be good for you"

I felt a tightness in my chest, followed by the feeling of getting my heart shattered like when Pete told me he had a girlfriend, but this was bigger. It was more emotional, especially since it's after he was planning to kiss me on my lips.

"Pixie!" I heard my nana call again and I know soon, she'll be climbing up the stairs to my bedroom and when she does not see me she might go right into Barry's room to ask him if he had seen me anywhere and then she sees me here....We'll get busted.

I was already climbing down the bed when I saw my top, at the end of the bed, almost falling off it. I grabbed it, but there was no time to get changed into it.

"You can come back to get it later" Barry said, eyeing the top in my hand.

I dropped it on the bed without questions.

"Come back after I'm gone" He added, reminding me of his departure from the packhouse and bringing back that tightness to my chest.

Without responding, I quickly walked towards the door, leaving my top behind since I don't have much of a choice.

"What if nana suspects something? What am I gonna tell her?" I asked as I reached the door.

"She'll suspect something only if you act suspicious" Barry said, going back to being playful in seconds, I wonder how he is able to easily switch moods just like that.

"Or, you know what? I'm going down with you" He said with a smirk slowly striding towards me with his naked chest in display.

"Just because I'm going down with your shirt does not mean you go down shirtless" I said with a glare. He chuckled before turning around to pick a shirt. I opened the door and walked out with racing heart without waiting for him to put on his shirt.

My nana's eyes met with mine as I appeared at the staircase. She had been staring up at the stairs before I appeared and I could bet she was contemplating going straight to Barry's room.

"Nana" my mouth blurted out her name as I took a step down, trying to sound neutral.

She smiled, then a slight frown appeared "That is not the girls side" She mentioned the obvious.

I froze. Right. I was coming from the boys side. I stood on one of the staircase, staring down at my nana.

"Yeah" I said, trying to find an excuse for staying in Barry's room.

Right. I was there in the first place because of his health.

"Hi, ma" I heard Barry's voice behind me, his scent filling the air.

Nana grinned at Barry before she tilted her head. "Pixie was in your room?"

"Yeah!!" Barry and I answered simultaneously with a sharp tone and both kept quiet, trying to give the other a chance to explain and that only brought an awkward silence.

Nana rose her brows.

"Barry was ill, so I had to stay with him" I said truthfully.

Nana hummed "That's funny"

I wondered why she said that, then Pete appeared, coming straight from the kitchen with a bottle of water in his hands just like the first time I saw him in this building.

"Pete told me Barry took you home because you were ill" nana laid little emphasis on the last three words.

I started to process her sentence carefully.

Pete told her Barry took me home because I was???....Shit! I shut my eyes briefly. Pete told her I was ill?

My eyes trailed to Pete who was already staring at me with those observing beautiful eyes.

Double shit.
