Strange girl

It's not every time kyra would leave her office early but when she did,it only meant one thing

"When are you coming back huh?"she asked with some irritation to her tone,she hated it when things didn't go as planned,after working hard she had to find out that her so-called boss didn't like her work hence it was given to someone capable.

"You've been saying that crap for weeks now,are you coming or not?"she lashed out and furiously rose from her seat and started packing her things including her laptop while holding her phone with her left hand close to her ear

With anger she cut the call and shoved her phone in her pocket and glanced at her watch and it was really late,in this case she greatly missed Donna who was always there to bug her about the littlest thing but as everyone knew,her friend was still a student hence she couldn't be at her back and call.

Kyra walked to the door of her office,ready to leave her boring little cabin but just as she opened the door she was greeted by a bunch of red roses beautifully put in a bouquet

"Surprise!"

"You!"kyra exclaimed in happiness as her eyes were fixed on the person she was just taking to on the phone

"Well I'm the king of surprises so here I am"Ryan her human boyfriend said with a smile that kyra knew too well and with happiness she quickly yanked the bouquet of flowers from him and sniffed them

"I knew you were lying"She chuckled and gave him a half hug,she has known Ryan for nearly three years,He's the only human she has gotten close to other than Donna and unlike Donna,Ryan has no idea about her wolf situation hence she has been trying by all means to make sure he doesn't find out because of what he had heard him say countless times about werewolves every time she asked him what he would do if werewolves existed,he always told her how much he detested such creatures apparently kyra couldn't bring herself to tell him about her true self

"And I have a late night picnic prepared"Ryan said as they got to the elevator leading to the ground floor and pressed the open button

"Tonight?,aren't you scared of the woods?"she arched a brown at him while looking at the beautiful flowers,the best part about ryan was that he knew just what she liked and flowers were Kyra's weakness

"Me scared?are you crazy"he chuckled nervous and the elevator stopped and both of them stepped out and headed towards the exit and as soon as the got to the parking lot,he opened the car door from her and kyra settled in,still displaying a satisfactory smile that Ryan couldn't seem to get tired of looking at

"Okay please hurry now"she chuckled to and averted her eyes from him,he was really good looking especially his brown blonde hair and small brown eyes,she they were in a relationship but it wasn't as spicy as others she still felt like something was missing between them but who was she to say,he was nice and he traveled a lot hence she didn't get too bored seeing him everyday because he would only come for a visit once in a while.

The drive was silent as kyra was engrossed in thoughts,she had a lot to think about and David was slightly the center if it all,for a while now he wasn't anywhere to be seem,she wondered what was going on with him to top it up she had no idea where exactly he resided and when she thought about why hasn't she asked him where his he was.

"Hello? We are here"Ryan tapped her on the shoulder and kyra gasped in a low tone as she looked at him in confusion

"Oh"she made an O sound and got out of the car,the weather was a bit cold and since their picnic was near some woods,it was even colder and dark

"What were you thinking about sweetie?"he narrowed his eyes looking at kyra suspiciously as they walked deep in the woods,Kyra clicked her tongue playfully not sure what to say to him,she was lucky he wasn't a werewolf if so then he would have read her thoughts

"Nothing just that the place looks so lovely and quiet"she said nervously hoping he doesn't ask her further and to her greatest advantage and the fact that Ryan wasn't one who would ask further he simply nodded and held her hand,not knowing that a pair of yellow eyes were watching vividly in the shadows observing every little thing even when kyra and Ryan reached where they were going,the yellow eyes watched in anticipation not making a sound

"Wow,its been long since I came here,I must say it looks the same"kyra commented while scanning her surroundings with vivid eyes,she knew been out in the woods was somehow dangerous,considering the fact that the werewolves after her would find her in such a secured place,

"Yeah,I always miss this place"he sat down on a mat so did kyra,it was a bit awkward because she had nothing to say to him,like she said their relationship was too distant no sparks whatsoever

"So"she said while playing with her fingers and Ryan scratched the back of his head awkwardly and touched her hand,kyra flinched and looked at their connected hands and blushed but suddenly there was a change of smell in the air and immediately Kyra's wolf senses kicked in amd her eyes flickered a silver yellow,without wasting time she looked away from him and clenched her fists tightly to keep her wolf hidden,it always happened whenever she was about to get close to Ryan mainly because no one was allowed to touch her other than her intended mate

"What's wrong Kyra?"Ryan asked softly and tries to touch her face but kyra immediately rose to her feet and faced the other away from him

"Well I..wait for me here"she said quickly preparing to make a run for it but ryan held her hand stopping her from leaving

"Again?tell me do I still disgust you?"he asked in a low tone

"No no,it's..its not like that I'll be right back"she said quickly and withdrew her hand from his and rushed further into the dark woods leaving Ryan standing there looking all defeated but that was not on Kyra's top list of worries,she had her secret to hide and if she suddenly went on four in front of him,he would have left her without looking back

"Damn it"she came to a halt as soon as she was hidden further in and closed her eyes to prevent the burning sensation she was feeling,even though she found it hard to go on four,she still couldn't risk being in front of humans knowing full well she could get caught

"Breathe kyra breathe"she said to herself as she took deep breaths and in no time her eyes went back to normal and her body started feeling human again

"Why didn't you let it out huh"she heard a small melodious soft voice from behind and with great speed she turned around only to find a small looking girl with pure white hair carelessly lying on a lot while playing with a necklace

"W..who are you?"kyra asked nervously hoping the small girl didn't see anything because if a human saw her turn she was doomed

"Mira at your service"the small girl said and got up from the log and took small steps towards kyra and when she stood in front of her,kyra now realized she wasn't small after all,she was just petite hence anyone would mistake her for a child

"What are you doing here..it's dangerous"kyra remarked and took a step back from the girl who had a creepy smile plastered on her face,her aura was too frightening and her white hair seemed to glow in the dark

"Dangerous?"the girl gave out a sarcastic laugh and a sly smile danced at the corners of her thin lips and played with her necklace again,to be honest when her brother told her about the half human girl she thought it was some weird girl but actually seeing kyra she had to admit,she possessed the werewolf traits and that was good rare beauty that most werewolves had,and Kyra's golden hair showed that her wolf was gold and beautiful hence she couldn't wait to train her personally

"You are kyra and you are having problems with your wolf so I'm here to help you out"Amira said with a smile but kyra seemed to have lost strength as she stumbled back but Amira quickly held her arm but soon let go because there was a spark and Amira was electrocuted

"What?"kyra looked at her hands and the girl lying on the ground groaning in pain,she didn't know what just happened but whatever it was it was trouble

"You have powers?"Amira said with groans as she got back to her feet and this time she didn't dare to get close to the half human

"Who are you?"kyra asked coldly as she took small steps towards the girl with a murderous expression that had Amira stepping back and just as kyra was about to get close she heard Ryan calling onto her

"Kyra"immediately Ryan's future came into view, the girl in a flash turned into a white wolf and quickly used speed and ran to the opposite direction,kyra was stunned at how fast the girl went on four without trouble and her speed suppressed hers and most importantly who was that girl

"You okay,come it's getting darker here"ryan asked with concern and kyra nodded with her eyes still glued to where the girl ran to and only one thing was on her mind 'she needed to see that girl again'.
