Along The Sidewalk

“Where are we running off too?” Sabrina questions while they both run hand in hand, together on a sidewalk. “To get married.” David casually replies and Sabrina abruptly stops on her tracks. “M-marriage?” She stutters. David turns around and stands facing her. “Yes! And let me tell you that I want four kids. Three girls just like you and a big brother to protect my girls… And he must take my looks of course.” “What?! Marriage? Kids?! Where are all these things suddenly coming from?” “It’s time! A hurricane is about to head our way and before that we must get married.” David emphasizes, moving close to her. “But David we can’t just do it right now… We have to tell my mother and-“ David didn’t give her a chance to complete, he crossed the remaining distance between them and claimed her soft blabbering lips only to put her to a stop. “Another important thing…” He breathes as he held her close. “I love you.” That had Sabrina moving on her toes while her insides were left burning with the flames of desire. ========= SYNOPSIS ========= David is not your average man. Inside The Blanket

They sat together on the sheet, folded in a blanket that David had brought with him in any case. They were eating the cheeseburgers that had turned cold the moment they came back after their little moment.

They were wet from the splashing game but gladly the cold was taken care of by the warmth of blanket that David went back to retrieve from the car trunk. They eat silently as they gazed through the horizon. No one spoke until they finished eating.

"I came here with my parents when I was ten and never since." Says Sabrina.

"Never?"

"My father died since then my mother never had the time to take me too far off places." Sabrina shrugs and David draws her closer with an arm across her shoulder. Sabrina leaned her head on David's shoulder and closes her eyes as she inhales his sandy-oceanic ascent. "It is my first in a long time." She chuckles hesitantly after admitting that and feels David's laugh too as his body shakes a little.

"They were my favorite cheeseburgers," David speaks.

"Mhmm, they were good."

"My mom and I used to go and eat there and back then it was just a shack." Sabrina smiles as she listens to his words "It's also my first in a long time." Sabrina backs away and looks at David with wide eyes and David chuckles. Suddenly her brows shift into a scowl "I wanted to pay for my own food, you should have told me before you got it!" she yells, comically and blows away a strand of hair that was apparently sticking wet on her forehead. David snorts, looking at her and pushes away the strand of her hair behind.

"Silly it was my treat."

"What for?"

"Umm...You can say to pay you back for the free Korean food."

"Then we have nothing to owe between us."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really."

"Naa... I think I am better off owing you."

"What- why?" Sabrina asks, crossing her legs and facing him.

"Well... It's just fun this way." He shrugs.

"You like teasing and bugging me?" Her scowl deepens on him and she turns back to avoid him. "Don't talk to me." She folds her arms against her chest like a kid and David laughs at her grumpiness.

"What? Okay, I'm sorry." He touches her arm and she shrugs him off "What? I said I am sorry." She doesn't give up and decides to be a little more stubborn. She pouts and waits a little more for him to make her up but when he doesn't any more she becomes worried and thoughtful but then suddenly he nears to her ear and whispers.

"I saw you that day singing by the bridge." Her breath hitches and she turns her face and he kisses her almost immediately and passionately. She doesn't stop him but falls into his traps and her hands go limp on her sides.

He backs away and looks into her eyes, still inches away while she looks back into his eyes.

"I couldn't have missed it with my life," David confesses and she closes the distance again, taking him by surprise and together they fall down on the sheet with David on his back and Sabrina above him, inside the blanket.
