After their porridge, the two sat on the wooden bed chatting.
Shangguan Xuanyi asked Xiao'er about how her soul could see what was happening.
Xiao'er wished to bite her own tongue off for being so honest; why did she blurt out that her soul had left her body? After thinking for a bit, she fibbed:
"I guess when you are unconscious, you know what's going on around you and you can hear everything, but even though your mind is willing to wake up, your body isn't responding. It doesn't necessarily mean that a soul has left the body."
"So you mean you were conscious, knew I was changing my clothes, but didn't actually see me changing?" Shangguan Xuanyi looked at Xiao'er's red ears. Clearly, this girl was lying.
Xiao'er remained silent, she had seen him, but she would never admit it again: "Hmm, I didn't see."
Her ears turned even more red.
"It's a pity, if you feel like you've missed out, I can undress for you to see now." Shangguan Xuanyi couldn't resist teasing her.
