CHAPTER TWO:The bad news.
THE BAD NEWS.
' Hi Alessia, won't you go and play with Raphael and Nicole ' aunt Elvy inquired
' Aunt, l just want to be left alone and get some rest.'
' Are you sure.'
' yes aunt.'
' Ok then if you insist.l will be down stairs if you need anything please let me know.'Aunt Elvy said as she left my room.l sat down on my bed lost in thought thinking that maybe l should call my mom.l tried calling her phone but her phone wasn't going through then l tried Dad's number but the same thing happened.My heart was unsettled .l suddenly felt a lump in my throat and tears forming in my eyes. Different thought kept on running in my mind l covered my head and cried under my pillow and eventually fell a sleep.l woke up at around 7:00 pm .l had my evening shower, dressed up and moved down stairs.
' Oh Alessia,l was almost coming to fetch you from your room.But am glad that you came.It,s time for supper follow me to the dinning room'
At the dinning table l sat opposite Nicole who kept on giving me the looks that would even chase a shadow. We sat at the dinning table as a family but one person was ming.It was uncle who joined us later on .He was my favorite uncle. After our super, everyone moved his separate way .l joined Raphael in the living room he was watching the local news. On my arrival in the sitting room, there was news that melted my heart not only mine but the whole country.
It was news that was moving viral through out the whole country .

A Mitsubishi outlander number plate UBB 321 X heading to the Busia Kenya boarder from Jinja, collided with a Kenyan bypass couch from Nairobi Kenya heading to Kampala at 12 00 pm today's afternoon leaving 32 people dead and 5 severely injured The bodies in the out lander were identified to be Miss,Ivy Shawna a business woman who has worked for the cola industries as a chemical engineer over the past six years.This accident has broken the record of Uganda since the year 2001....
On hearing the shocking news ,l totally lost my voice.l wouldn't believe that my parents were gone.l failed to move further into the living room . Tears rolled down my checks .l thought that maybe l had the heard the news poorly but it was the reality.l heard my dad's number plate UBB 321 X read as the number plate of that out lander .My mom's name Ivy Shawna as well.lthought my life was ruined an dy my aunt Elvy was going to throw me out of the house now that my parents were gone but it turned out that the aunt Elvy l thought to be wicked wasn't at all but as good as uncle Richard she gave me the most comforting words than any other person in the house. That day's night ,we didn't stay long because tomorrow was the day my parent's corpse were to be brought home and ready for the feneral .The night seemed like forever .The soft bed l slept on minutes ago seemed to be the most uncomfortable bed l had ever slept on since my birth .This was the worst day of my life.l always prayed that my parents should live to see my graduation but it all turned out wrong.The happy memories of me and my parents kept on popping in my mind , the more tears l shed and more sleep l lost .The next morning, l was the first to wake up since l didn't have sleep that day . l prepared breakfast that day with Leona the house maid.We set up the dinning table ,soon my mom's corpse were brought home but my dad's corpse wet mising . The Police claimed that my dad's corpse wasn't in the car.So the search for his body was still on. My mom's last rites were postponed to Sunday where she was laid at the city cemetery.During these hard times ,l stayed with Gran ma for two weeks.After the two weeks, we turned to aunt Elvy's place but l didn't attend school for one week.Thank goodness, Rapheal and Nicole kept on following the school schedule and were able to inform the school administration about what happened to my parents .l had almost lost hopes of going back to school since the ones catering for my school fees were dead .All my dreams varnished.My thought to be evil aunt Elvy made me come to realize how use ful she could be at times. She drove me to school and brought me home herself.l was treat more of her child than nice. l eventually started developing love for her ln spite the fun at home l had a hard time coping up with my friends especially with Nicole who kept on mocking me with her friends.
