Feed me

With only the two of them left, Hannah could only sigh. She glared at Axel one last time before picking up her cutlery and began to eat. While she ate, Axel only stared at her silently and Hannah was beginning to feel uncomfortable under his intense gaze. She wondered if he was just going to watch her till she was done with her meal.

"Eat something will you?" Hannah, who had finally had enough, said, but Axel only stared at her for a few seconds before saying, "I'm not hungry".

"I also said that a while ago but look at me now". She pointed to herself and her food. "You should eat something while you are here. You forced me to stay back, it will be unfair if you don't eat too. Besides, you haven't eaten anything since noon, you might get sick".

Axel chuckled lightly, "Are you worried about me?" He asked with one of his eyebrows raised, the smugness on his face could not be ignored.

Hannah snorted coldly, "I am not worried. I just don't want you to faint on our way back. You are Penelope's favourite person right now so if you faint, it will only make her worried but I assure you, my peace of mind will be as undisturbed as it is right now".

Axel laughed again and suddenly leaned forward, "Feed me then, for the sake of Penelope. It wouldn't be good if she is worried about me at such a young age". Axel said.

He licked his lips sexily and parted them slightly waiting for Hannah to feed him but she only stared at his lips in a daze for a while before stabbing her steak aggressively and Axel was forced to move an inch back. He felt like he was the one being stabbed instead of the steak.

"In your dreams Axel Miller". Hannah glared as she twisted the fork in the steak making Axel gulp. For a moment he was stunned but when he remembered that he was with Hannah, he was not all that surprised anymore. Other girls would have seen that he was flirting with them but Hannah…she only thinks with her knives and takes things at face value.

He raised his hand in surrender but Hannah kept glaring till he picked the fork and began to eat. He didn't even know he was holding his breath until Hannah's eyes left him and she continued eating.

Axel was shocked at himself. How was it possible that she had such an effect on him? He was not scared of her; that was a fact, but he felt like something would happen if he didn't do as Hannah had asked and for some reason, he wasn't looking forward to it… whatever it was.

"Did you know that there was a play area for kids here?" Hannah suddenly asked as she stopped eating and Axel replied with a nod.

"I thought she was going to get bored while we were away and go there to play, I didn't expect that she would wait for us instead". Axel shrugged and went back to his food. Hannah realized that he came prepared. She wondered why she doesn't think so far ahead as he does.

"Your food will get cold", Axel reminded as he saw her staring into space. Hearing his voice, Hannah went back to her food and neither of them spoke till they were done with their meal.

They both went out of the restaurant to the kids' area where Penelope was. Hannah originally wanted to go home with Penelope but Axel insisted that she stayed a while longer since Penelope seemed to enjoy herself quite a lot.

The kids' area was at the other end of the restaurant. The place was crowded with a lot of kids, parents; who were keeping an eye on their children, and staff; who were present in case of any emergency. The walls were painted in bright colours and drawings of different cartoon characters that children would love. There was soft music playing in the background which no one was paying attention to, and the lights were colourful. There was also an area where parents who were not interested in playing with their kids, or who were just simply tired, sat. Hannah and Axel made their way to that place and they sat at the furthest corner where the lighting was dim. Neither of them wanted anyone's eyes on them.

They sat next to each other and watched Penelope from a distance as she interacted with kids her age, some older or younger than she was. Hannah felt fulfilled as she watched this scene. She promised herself that when all this was over, she was going to take Penelope to every playing ground around the world.

She didn't have to worry about Penelope's safety since Leonard and Alena were just around her and playing with her whenever she wanted.

This was a sight that Hannah wanted to watch all her life. She wanted to see Penelope happy and not always licked upon the house. At least now, she had company, Alena and Leonard would be around her all the time.

While Hannah was watching them from where she sat, Axel was fiddling with his phone seemingly uninterested in what was happening. He sat with his legs crossed and eyes glued to the screen of his phone, ignoring everything around him. Hannah had seen this but she guessed that it must be related to work since Axel only looked this serious when he was working, so she ignored him and kept watching Penelope.

Suddenly, Axel's phone rang and seeing Alena's name displayed on his phone screen, he took the call. As he did that, he glanced in Penelope's direction and saw that only Leonard was there and he seemed to be closer to Penelope than he was before without any distance between them.

When the call ended, he looked at Hannah who was sitting next to him and watching Penelope like she was the only thing in the world. He wanted to tell her about what was happening outside but if he did, Hannah would turn serious like she usually was. It was rare to see her like this, so relaxed and unbothered. He didn't eat to spoil this moment for her so he just let it be even though he knows that it would not be long before she realizes.
