Purpose (End of Book 2)
“I’m sorry for making you wait.”
Joke said to his phone with a slightly nervous tone. He hurriedly stepped out of the Butterfly shop, trying to be as quick as possible. Still, the sounds of shouts, celebration, and Arcadia’s signature BGM leaked out before the shop’s door could completely close. In other words, there was a party held by the shop’s customers to celebrate Joke’s victory over Viper.
One day had passed after that heated battle. However, others who did not seem to have come down from excitement yet came to gather here, making the place more crowded than usual. Joke wanted to join them if only his phone did not ring first. Obviously, there was no spot in the shop that was quite enough for a phone call, so he had to step outside.
Furthermore, the caller was not someone he could easily cut the line with.
