“Where the hell’s Joke? Didn’t he say he was getting on the sky train? He should already be here.”
The grumbling complaint came from none other than Madame Fon. She had changed her clothes and was ready for (a large meal of) dinner with her friends (whose ages were vastly different from hers). She had finished playing more than ten rounds of the game on the tablet, yet the final member, who they were all waiting for, still didn’t show up… They should be on their way right now, but here they were in the same spot when it was almost six.
“That’s right. It’s getting pretty late now. Can you try calling him again, Dani?”
Rin was the same. She had finished reading through her fashion magazine while waiting for the bespectacled man. She often looked up to glance at the shop’s door. Still, there was no sign of Joke.
