Against the World: The last Monapart

No one with the name Monapart could ever use magic. But no Monapart ever cared about it. They were always the strongest of them all. Each one stronger than the last. The world couldn't accept their existence. When the strongest Monapart died, they swore to never let another one get stronger again. Every human, beast, and demon would be killed at the mere mention of the name... But time passes, and soon, they forgot. "Curses...Curses... The fucking curses! They were the rage, the fear, and the embodiment of someone's will, so why?! Why all of them are made to kill everything?!" Said the first Monapart. But the curse in front of him didn't answer, it just stared at him smiling like always. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- When he was born, he didn't cry, nor made any kind of sound in the process, but no one cared for him enough to notice. After just two days of life, he opened his eyes. An unusual thing as babies usually need at least a month to do so. His green eyes moved wildly looking at every corner of his room with deep curiosity, but not understanding anything in his view. He still couldn't understand the concept of 'thing' yet, but that changed after one month of life. After one month, he understood he was alive and most of the things in the room weren't. He still couldn't put it in words but he clearly knew that he was way different than the chair next to him. The speed of his understanding was outstanding. Sadly, in his sixth month of life, while he was asleep, flames covered his entire room and himself. It didn't take even a second and all the room turned into ashes. The baby didn't die as expected, but he was no longer in the dark room. [ Curse received: Heart offering ] . . [ Heart offering: Once per day the curse bearer will lose one of his five senses until he loses everything or dies ] . . [ Heart offering is taking effect ] . . [ Sense of hearing lost] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- -At least one chapter of 1000 words a day -If you don't like the start, I guess chapter 21 is a good one to jump to but you will still feel a little lost -If you find any error, please comment on it and I will fix it -I hope you like it

Killing Machine

Alexander carried Hans on his back to the village along with the heart in his hand.

He didn't want to risk losing the heart so soon after they found it. But Hans wasn't able to walk on his own.

He ran as fast as he could. The village chief should have a way to cure him.

As he rushed through the snow-covered lands, Hans woke up.

*Cough!*Cough!*Cough!*

"...Sorry"

"Don't worry about it," Alexander replied.

"I messed up again"

"It's fine, we'll get there in time"

"...If I can't make it. Can you take care of the village?"

"What are you talking about? I can't do much"

"I know, but can you at least move them somewhere else? Somewhere the vampires won't find them"

"I don't know what you're talking but you don't have time to worry about that. Think about staying alive first, then we can talk"

"Thank you. You are a good person" Hans smiled.

"...You are a weird man"

*Cough!*Cough!*Cough!*

They had finally arrived at the village. Alexander lowered Hans to the ground, then turned his attention to the villagers and the children.

They opened the path as he walked with Hans to the chief's house.

"I brought the heart, but Hans got poisoned"

The chief opened his door and let Alexander in.

"Put him on the bed"

"Can you cure him?"

"Yes and no. The thing is that the way to heal him is the same as the other poison. The white lizard's heart can heal a lot of strong poisons and his own is one of them"

"..."

"So you will have to choose who you are gonna save"

*Thud!*

They looked to the side and Ren fell from his bed as he tried to get up.

Alexander quickly went to help him up.

"You have to save Hans. He is too young to die like this"

"I can go and bring another one" Alexander said.

"We don't have enough time to wait. Ren will not survive until you bring another one"

"But Hans will, give this one to Ren and I'll go get the other"

"NO! If you can't get it in time, he will die!" Ren screamed.

*BOOOM!*

The wood house shook as they heard an explosion outside.

Alexander rushed outside and saw at the border of the village a huge group of fairies attacking.

Alexander used natural steps and in a blink of an eye, he was standing before the fairies while slashing his sword. He had no time to waste.

"How did so many of them manage to get here without anyone noticing them?" Ren asked

"They must have been hiding in the mountains and snuck closer during the night. Luckily, you people arrived or we would all have died today" The chief answered.

"What should we do?"

"Pray" The chief was as weak as any other villager.

Alexander charged at the enemy. His sword sliced the air in front of him as it hit every fairy that crossed its path.

With each swing, he cut a fairy in half, but there were too many of them.

Some of them were bound to get past him and enter the village.

No one was strong enough to help him, so he simply had to get faster.

He put his body to its limits as he killed more and more fairies. He used the natural steps every single time to get closer to every enemy as fast as possible.

Realizing it still wasn't fast enough, he started using shadow steps as well. Natural steps was fast for running and for long distances but when close to the enemy, the shadow steps made him move ridiculously faster.

The fairies could barely see him, he would suddenly disappear in the middle of dozens of fairies and suddenly all of them would die with their heads falling from their bodies.

He slashed and ran, left and right, in front and behind the enemy.

After a few seconds, there were only half of the fairies left but there were still two hundred of them.

Alexander needed to go even faster. He started changing steps right in front of the fairies as he used his whole body to kill. His legs, arms and feet crushed the fairies on the way at such a fast speed that even more fairies started dying per second.

In the short time he started fighting, his killing speed raised to ten fairies per second. Like a killing machine, every part of his body could kill dozens of fairies.

The villagers watched him with fear in their eyes, in the milliseconds he appeared between the steps, they could see his figure covered in blood from head to toe.

The fairies at the back quickly tried to think of something and the wooden platform appeared at the end of the group.

Six fairies stepped on the platform and with magic, it launched them at tremendous speed towards Alexander.

*BOOOM!* The air ripped at the sound of the launch.

Two were thrown completely out of the way and crashed into a tree destroying all their organs like paste.

But the other four flew directly to Alexander. They were flying while holding their daggers in his direction hoping to kill him.

Ren, who was looking from the chief's house grew anxious, this was what had killed Anne before. But the moment the first fairy approached Alexander, time seemed to stop. Ren could clearly see everything moving slowly.

Then he witnessed as Alexander drew his sword at an even faster speed than the flying fairy and it cut through the fairy's flesh like butter.

The fairy was divided in two in less than half a second.

Everything became fast again and the only thing he could see were three more flashes of reflected light. The four launched fairies were divided in half while Alexander didn't even look at them.

Fifteen seconds later, when the number of fairies was almost ending, Alexander suddenly received notifications from the system.
