TRIP HOME

In the evening, Grace finds herself in the shelter home, still engaged in a confrontation with the mysterious man wearing Lucas's clothes. The man ask about the progress of boat repairs with the elder man. The elder man responds that they are nearly complete, but the man requires additional funds for tools and food, considering the long journey to Fiaz. Agreeing to this, the man asks how much he needs. The elder man states that another 500 gold is necessary for the trip's provisions and tools. At that moment, Grace interjects, declaring that she is there for him. The man looks at Grace, curious about her intentions. Grace demands to know where he obtained the clothes he is wearing. The man glances at his attire and suggests that if she wants them, she can have them as long as he receives 10 gold in return. He begins to remove his clothes, but Grace tells him to stop and clarifies that she doesn't want the clothes and asks for his name. The man introduces himself as Brodin, stating that he woke up wearing these clothes and had no recollection of their source. He explains that many confusing things have been happening, leaving him unable to comprehend his situation. He also expresses confusion about how he ended up in Freeda. Looking at Grace, Brodin suddenly realizes that he has seen her before but can't remember when or where. He tells her that all he remembers is walking endlessly towards the ocean, leading him to the current location. Grace then asks if he has ever met someone named Lucas. Brodin's demeanor changes upon hearing the name, and he demands to know how she knows Lucas. Grace asserts that she is the one asking the questions. Reacting swiftly, Brodin stands up and confronts her face to face, repeating his previous question. Sensing a potential conflict, the elder man fearfully retreats. Ignoring his inquiries, Grace persists and asks Brodin how he knows Lucas. In response, Brodin reveals that Lucas is his brother. Grace comments that Brodin doesn't resemble Lucas at all. Brodin admits that he is unsure, but he knows that Lucas is his family. As Grace observes his sincerity, she further inquires about his need to travel to Fiaz. Brodin calmly suggests that perhaps Lucas is at home, and he feels the need to return there for him.

In the evening, Grace instructs Brodin to stay put as she plans to bring the rest of her team to the shelter for further questioning. Suddenly, Brodin falls to his knees, clutching his chest as it begins to emit a glowing light. In pain, he hears Lucas's voice. Grace quickly takes out her phone and calls the Ghost team for assistance. Brodin calls out Lucas's name, and Grace worries about his well-being. However, Brodin pushes her away, insisting that he needs to leave immediately. Grace blocks the doorway, urging him to stay inside the shelter. Frustrated, Brodin delivers a powerful front kick that breaks through the shelter's wall. He dashes out, prompting Grace to inform her team through the phone that she is chasing the suspect and urges them to join her. Brodin vaults over numerous fences towards the fish markets, with Grace closely pursuing him. Mako joins the chase and attempts a kick at Brodin, but Brodin catches it and hurls Mako into a fish stand, causing chaos and ruining the fish sales. Grace tries to tackle Brodin, but he evades her. Brodin continues his mad dash, with Grace quickly getting back on her feet to follow. Along the way, Brodin encounters Holly and James, who try to block his path. Astonishingly, Brodin leaps high over them, leaving both Holly and James amazed by his jumping abilities. Grace rushes past them and urges them to keep up. Brodin heads toward the ocean, about to exit the market area, when Wiz suddenly appears in front of him. Once again, Brodin displays his exceptional jumping skills, but Wiz jumps up as well and pushes him back, causing Brodin to fall into a fountain. Writhing in pain and with his chest glowing once more, Brodin hears Lucas's voice inside his head. Wiz approaches the fountain, claiming that he didn't push Brodin too hard. Just then, Brodin launches himself at Wiz with a kick, narrowly missing his target. Before fully passing Wiz, Wiz grabs Brodin's arm and slams him into the ground. Brodin swiftly rolls away from Wiz's grasp and engages him in a fight within the market area. Wiz notices Brodin's incredible speed and struggles to keep up. Grace joins the fray, but Brodin deftly evades their attacks, causing Wiz and Grace to collide with each other. Mako joins the fight and tackles Brodin, resulting in both of them rolling down a hill and crashing into a store. Brodin swiftly gets back up and kicks Mako through the store's wall before making his escape. Brodin continues his relentless run toward the ocean, while James, driving the Limo nearby, is alerted by Holly to Brodin's presence. James positions the Limo in front of Brodin, who jumps just as Sasha emerges from the top window of the vehicle with her bow and arrow. Sasha takes aim as Brodin leaps over the Limo, and she shoots an arrow that expands into a net, successfully trapping Brodin within it. Rolling in the net, Brodin collides with Jayden and Bael. Sasha, Holly, and James quickly join the group. Jayden looks at Brodin's eyes as it ignites in spiritual flames. He warns everyone to step back, but before they can react, a powerful spiritual force propels them. Sasha, Holly, and James are sent flying, crashing through benches and tables. Bael is also launched into the ocean. Jayden is momentarily pushed back, but he manages to hold on as Brodin breaks free from the net. Brodin sternly tells Jayden to get out of his way. Jayden then notices Lucas's spiritual face appearing over Brodin's own face, leaving him bewildered. Brodin punches Jayden, sending him plunging into the ocean. Brodin races toward the boat where the elder man is still working on repairs. He leaps into the boat, even though the elder man informs him that the engine isn't ready and won't take him all the way to Fiaz. Disregarding the warning, Brodin starts the engine. Wiz and Grace arrive on the scene, but Brodin emits another spiritual force, causing the elder man to be flung into Grace's arms and pushing all three of them away from him. Brodin sets sail in the boat, while Grace shouts that they will catch him. Assuring Wiz, Grace informs him not to worry, explaining that she has already placed a tracker on the boat. She takes out her phone and shows Wiz a map displaying the boat's current location. Impressed by Grace's resourcefulness, Wiz nods in acknowledgment.

Later that night, everyone reconvenes at the docks, where a colossal Hinode ship arrives and stops before them, leaving them awestruck by its size. The Hinode officers invite them aboard, and the Ghost team enters the ship, which is illuminated and spacious. They proceed into a large building on the ship, passing numerous coffins. Wiz explains that these coffins contain his fallen officers from a previous battle. Mako expresses his gratitude, acknowledging that they sacrificed themselves to save his life. Jayden, however, senses something amiss. They reach the end of the building to find three massive glass cubes housing Tucker, Walter, and the homeless girl. Tucker paces anxiously, concerned about Walter, who remains emotionless and stares upward. The homeless girl sleeps peacefully. Wiz explains that since REVA is gone these cubes were created by the Shamans and Monks to purify the body of lingering spirits. Jayden observes Walter's cube and senses a disturbance. Suddenly, Jayden falls backward, but Grace catches him. They all then witness Jayden's spirit leaving his body and looking up at the cube, where multiple Hinode spirits surrounding Walter's cube. Jayden realizes that it is unnatural for spirits to remain with someone after death, as they should return to the Void. These spirits, however, are different, as they are inexplicably drawn to Walter and show no signs of fading away. Wiz reassures Jayden that it is acceptable for his men to continue protecting his son even in death.

Later that evening, the ghost team retires to a different building on the ship for the night. Wiz signals the captain of the ship as the giant ship sails off to Fiaz. Grace enters Jayden's room and takes a seat beside him. Jayden appears visibly stressed, prompting Grace to inquire about his well-being. Jayden responds, acknowledging that even after vanquishing REVA, there is still much work to be done in saving the world. Grace reassures him by emphasizing that they, along with individuals like them, are there to protect and preserve the world. She also asks Jayden if he still believes REVA could possibly remain at large. Reflecting on their encounter with REVA, Jayden recalls the moment when they defeated him, watching as REVA's smile fades away into ethereal magic. Jayden expresses his unease, sensing that REVA seemed to derive enjoyment from the battle. Grace comforts him, offering words of encouragement and urging him to let go of thoughts concerning REVA, as they have moved past that. Furthermore, Grace suggests that Brodin's fighting style closely resembles that of Lucas, leading her to speculate that they might be brothers. Jayden becomes aware of this connection as well, noting that he saw Lucas's face mirrored in Brodin's countenance. Grace asserts they need to track down Brodin and locate Lucas. Jayden agrees, and as Grace departs from his room, he closes his eyes, allowing time to pass until morning arrives.

Jayden awakens to a cacophony of loud noises outside the building. He hastily rises from his slumber and rushes outside to witness a horde of ghosts emerging from a portal, launching an attack on Hinode officers. Spotting Mako and Sasha rescuing unconscious officers, Jayden observes Wiz engaged in combat, effortlessly dispatching the ghosts by crushing their heads. Among the apparitions, the Chain ghost appears, prompting Bael, Holly, and James to join Jayden from the hallway. Startled, Jayden turns and urgently shouts for everyone to flee. However, before they can escape, a chain strikes Jayden's back, yanking him out of the building. Bael expresses confusion over the spirits' sudden return, while Holly and James narrowly evade a chain aimed at them. Unfortunately, the chain connects with Bael's chest, dragging him forward. Holly and James grab hold of the chains, desperately attempting to pull them back. The Chain ghost pulls Jayden closer until they are face to face. Emitting a monstrous roar, the ghost opens its mouth, revealing numerous arms. Jayden defiantly proclaims that he is protected by the Lord. Suddenly, the Macrosser hidden within Jayden's clothing begins to radiate a brilliant light, disintegrating the chains that ensnare him. The Chain ghost swings its chains at Jayden, who skillfully evades the attacks, noticing Grace leaping into the fray with a powerful punch aimed at the ghost. However, the Chain ghost catches her fist with its chains, ensnaring her arm. Struggling to harness the Macrosser's formidable spiritual power, Jayden witnesses the Chain ghost hurling Grace into the air and then violently slamming her back down. Overwhelmed by the Macrosser's immense energy, Jayden drops the weapon. Rushing to catch Grace, Jayden braces himself as the impact causes the ship's floor to dent, resulting in him coughing up blood while Grace lands on top of him. Faced with this sight, Grace becomes engulfed in anger, and sparks of red ignite around her arms. With tremendous force, Grace draws the Chain ghost towards her, delivering a powerful punch that creates a hole in its head, shattering the attached chains. The Chain ghost plummets into the ocean, leaving Grace drained and shaking with pain in her hands. The ghosts surrounding Wiz cease their assault and retreat into the water. Bael emerges and apologies to everyone, prompting Wiz to confront him, expressing surprise that the spirits attacked in the morning instead of at night as expected. Bael shares in the confusion. Despite the pain he is in, Jayden rises to his feet as the ship shakes violently. The Chain ghost resurfaces from the ocean, larger than ever, as the ghostly entities merge with it. Opening its massive mouth, the ghost begins to draw the ship towards it. Jayden seizes the Macrosser, pointing it at the ghost, causing it to writhe in pain from the intense brightness. Struggling to maintain control, Jayden screams in agony, refusing to release his grip on the Macrosser. As the light grows brighter the chain ghost retreats into the ocean. Exhausted, Jayden collapses, and Grace rushes to his side, attempting to remove the Macrosser from his grasp, but its immense spiritual power prevents her from doing so.

Suddenly, the Chain ghost strikes the bottom of the ship from underwater, sending it airborne and causing everyone to be thrown into the air. The ship crashes back into the ocean, sending everyone tumbling onto the ship's surface. Jayden and Grace, now unconscious, Holly, with a bleeding head, rises and rushes over to them. A chain emerges from the water, targeting Bael, but James intervenes and gets dragged under instead. Holly cries out James's name in despair. Wiz regains his footing and leaps into the ocean, diving toward the Chain ghost. Chains shoot out towards him, wrapping around his body. He glimpses James also struggling against the chains underwater. Mako races forward as more chains emerge, capturing additional individuals below the surface. Reaching Holly, who is protecting Jayden and Grace, Mako attempts to communicate with Jayden, urging him to employ his spiritual powers. Mako notices the Macrosser shining brightly in Jayden's grip and tries to pry it away, but to no avail. Mako and Holly intensify their efforts, straining to remove the Macrosser. Suddenly, a chain hurtles toward them. Sasha bravely intercepts the attack, taking the hit before being dragged into the ocean. Grace wakes up and helps out by trying to remove the Mascrosser, they all cry out in pain as they continue to struggle. With all their strength, they finally manage to wrest the Macrosser from Jayden's hand, and it lands nearby as its radiance dims. Grace turns her attention to Bael, who stands at the ship's edge, peering into the depths of the ocean. Bael declares that this must come to an end and plunges into the water. Despite Grace's attempt to stop him, Mako holds her back. The chains quickly encase Bael, Wiz breaks free from the chains and dives deeper, clutching onto the Chain ghost's eye ball, causing it to explode into darkness. Released from the chains, everyone rises to the surface, with James rescuing several individuals. The Chain ghost strikes Wiz forcefully with its chains, propelling him away. Gasping for air, James shouts for assistance. Mako and Grace leap into the ocean, rescuing more people and bringing them back to the ship. Bael dons the mask and swims away, with the Chain ghost giving chase. Sasha helps Wiz out of the water, The Chain ghost overtakes Bael, ensnaring him tightly with its chains, preparing to devour him whole. Bael, resigning himself to his fate, closes his eyes in acceptance. As the arms from the ghost's mouth seize him, they remove Bael's mask, and the arms engulf him completely. Suddenly, a glimmer of light catches Bael's attention, and he opens his eyes. To his astonishment, Bael beholds the spiritual form of Jayden, diving fearlessly into the mouth of the Chain ghost, forcefully pushing through the multitude of arms that attempt to hinder his progress. Jayden extends his arm and grasps Bael's hand firmly. Together, they concentrate their energies, emitting a powerful spiritual aura that shatters the arms entangling them. Bael is astounded by the sudden surge of spiritual might they have generated. They swim back toward the mouth's opening as it gradually closes. Meanwhile, aboard the ship, Mako becomes aware of the approaching sound of a helicopter. Looking upward, she spots a tall, muscular woman leaping out of the aircraft and gracefully landing on the ship. The woman approaches Mako, expressing her delight at seeing her nephew. Mako, bewildered, watches as the woman then jumps into the ocean. Wiz chimes in, informing Mako that the woman is his aunt, Mako's expression reflects surprise as he utters the word, "Cyber."
