In the land of Shuma, vast grasslands dominate the landscape, but at the heart of these grasslands stands a colossal dome pulsating with otherworldly energy. Nestled within this dome lies a small village inhabited by technologically advanced beings, surrounding a massive technological cube. This village, home to the High Tech, comprises both humans and robots, entrusted with safeguarding the enigmatic cube. Millennia ago, the cube originated from a dying world, where its inhabitants called Raija, residing in a futuristic society brimming with advanced technology, faced a physical inability to escape their home planet. Seeking an eternal existence, they converted their minds and souls into digital data, which was then transferred into the tech cube, enabling them to live indefinitely within virtual realms. Departing their dying planet, the cube embarked on a journey, eventually finding its way to planet Earth and landing in Shuma. The humans native to Shuma, filled with curiosity about this extraordinary technology, encountered the cube and acquired knowledge of its origins and the fate of its homeworld. Inspired by this revelation, the humans constructed a village around the tech cube, and in turn, the cube shared some of its technological resources with the humans. Together, they created a protective force field dome around the village, isolating it from the outside world. These humans came to be known as the High Tech, utilizing the cube's resources to fashion robots capable of safeguarding both the cube and the village. The tech cube, uninterested in involvement with Earth, solely sought refuge, emphasizing its desire to remain separate from the planet's affairs. Three centuries prior to the present day, the High Tech established the Cyber Team, comprised of formidable individuals tasked with safeguarding planet Earth against significant threats and ensuring that the land of Freeda remains ignorant of spiritual powers.

The Raija lives within the confines of the Tech Cube, a realm abundant with virtual worlds. Before current times, among these virtual realms exists a solitary room where a boy named Zane resides, a product of data breeding. However, Zane's parents eventually decided to rest, transferring their data to a separate virtual world, leaving Zane alone in a floating chamber amidst the myriad virtual landscapes. Preferring solitude, Zane spends his time playing games and playing music with his electric guitar in his room, avoiding social interactions with other Raijas. The only occasion he ventures out is when he visits the virtual world library. Although many children attempt to befriend him, Zane remains focused on his books about the outside world, paying little attention to their efforts. As he delves deeper into his readings, his curiosity grows, and he develops a desire to explore the actual world beyond the confines of the virtual realm. Determined to step out of his comfort zone, Zane embarks on an exploration of the outer reaches of the virtual worlds, searching for weaknesses characterized by glitches and bugs. However, before he can execute his escape plan, he realizes the lack of a physical body prevents him from venturing into the outside world. Consequently, he changes his course and heads toward the central virtual world, where the highest-ranking Raijas reside. In this realm, Zane discovers how the Raijas communicate with humans beyond their domain by transferring their data into robots from the outside. However, only select Raijas possess the legal authorization for such data transfers. Zane, realizing the need to find an alternative method to connect with humans outside, stumbles upon the revelation that both the Raijas and the High Tech humans enjoy playing video games together. Occasionally, human players purchase character data to convert them into real-world robotic models. Leveraging this insight, Zane creates a USB device capable of transferring his own data into a video game character.

With his plan in motion, Zane inserts the USB into the console, and touches it as he is drawn into the digital realm as data. Zane's data seamlessly merges with his video game character as he traverses the virtual world, seeking human players. Eventually, he encounters a human player who expresses a strong desire to obtain Zane's video game character as a real-world robotic model. Agreeing to the proposition, the human player purchases Zane's character, initiating the transfer of data into the outside world. Zane observes his data journeying through a factory, ultimately being stored on a USB drive. A human worker retrieves the USB and inserts it into a robot model, resembling Zane's video game character. As Zane's data fills the robot's head, the model springs to life. However, Zane maintains the façade of a display model, concealing his sentience. Subsequently, the humans package Zane into a large action figure box and load it onto a truck bound for the High Tech establishment. Once there, a driver places Zane's box on a dolly, delivering it to the doorstep of a house where the package was ordered. Eagerly, a middle-aged man opens the door, quickly signs the required paperwork, and brings the box inside. Unwrapping it, the man is thrilled to discover Zane's video game character model, expressing his excitement at such a remarkable creation. Moving to another room and, the man realizes that Zane's model has vanished. A broken window catches his attention, and he peers outside, screaming upon realizing that someone has stolen his cherished character model. Unknown to the man, Zane is quietly hiding nearby.

Zane seizes the opportunity to escape, sprinting into a near by backyard where he retrieves some hanging clothes, using them to disguise his non-human body parts such as his head, hands, and ankles. However, the homeowner catches sight of him and promptly notifies the High Tech authorities. Zane evades capture, darting through the surroundings, hiding from numerous High Tech officers and robots. Eventually, he arrives at a yellow danger line demarcating the boundary between the village and the dome. In a bold move, Zane touches the dome, resulting in a searing sensation on his finger, triggering alarms throughout the village. Zane retreats and conceals himself, witnessing the entire village undergo a shutdown, with High Tech officers and robots vigilantly observing the area and opens a hole in the dome to also investigate outside the dome. Ingeniously, Zane formulates a plan, ambushing a High Tech officer and donning his uniform. With the officer's clothes and cap on, Zane cautiously approaches the opening. A robot intercepts him, questioning his tardiness for the search. Zane, disguising his face with the cap, responds by attributing it to an upset stomach. The robot berates him, threatening to deduct his pay, and Zane apologizes while continuing toward the opening and ultimately escapes the dome. As he steps outside, Zane gazes upon a vast grassland teeming with officers and robots combing the area. Determined, he sprints away, skillfully evading pursuit. Amidst his flight, Zane's back opens, revealing exhaust pipes from which flames erupt, propelling him forward at great speed. While being chased, Zane deftly maneuvers through the grassland, skillfully dodging incoming robot beams. Noticing more robots and officers hot on his trail, Zane navigates through any available open spaces, his body now exuding an intense energy. Crossing the border from Shuma into Ziria, the pursuit abruptly ceases, and Zane exults in his freedom, reveling in the joy of finally exploring the outside world.

Zane stumbles upon an abandoned ruin town, exhausted and in need of rest. Suddenly, he hears the clashing of metal and decides to investigate. To his horror, he discovers rival gangs engaged in a violent battle, resulting in one gang killing the other for their loot. Fear seizes Zane as one of the gang members spots him and gives chase. Zane tries to flee but is quickly surrounded by the gang members. They interrogate him about his identity, but Zane remains silent. A gang member wielding a bloody machete approaches him, and Zane pleads that he doesn't want any trouble. The gang member realizes Zane is a robot and assumes he's from Shuma. Introducing himself as Kattal, he questions Zane's purpose for being there. Zane explains his desire to explore the outside world, which elicits laughter from Kattal and the gang. Kattal mocks Zane, calling the real world ugly, causing Zane to feel frightened and lose his balance. Kattal offers Zane a choice to join the gang or face death. Fearing for his life, Zane agrees, and Kattal declares that they will make history as the first robot gang, forming a Mafia. Kattal captures Zane and brings him to the gang's base, where Zane discovers numerous imprisoned individuals. He is thrown into a jail cell while Kattal informs him that he will soon experience the harsh realities of the real world.

Inside the cell, Zane examines his arms and legs and notices a low fuel warning on a screen within his eyes. He observes his exhaust pipe emitting dust and realizes his firepower is currently unavailable. Determined to escape, Zane places his hands on the cell bars and manages to break free. As he ventures further, he hears a loud commotion and follows the sound to an arena, where people are brutally fighting each other. Zane witnesses the cruel spectacle as humans are forced to battle for survival. Suddenly, Kattal sneaks up behind Zane and pushes him into the arena, announcing that the robot will now fight. Zane protests, expressing his reluctance to engage in violence. Kattal insists that only the strong can survive in the real world and that if Zane refuses to fight, his dream of exploring the world will come to an end. Confronted by two bloodied combatants, Zane raises his voice, declaring his unwillingness to fight. Despite his resistance, the two fighters attack him, but Zane shields himself with his arms, enduring the onslaught. Through his battered vision, Zane notices tears streaming down their faces, realizing they are fighting out of desperation to survive.

In the midst of the battle, Zane sustains a blow to the face and collapses, catching sight of more imprisoned individuals. Struggling to defend himself, Zane reiterates his refusal to kill anyone. However, the two fighters continue their assault, causing Zane's body parts to break. Memories of the beauty of the outside world, gleaned from his readings, flood Zane's mind, prompting him to question if this is truly the end and if he will never experience that beauty. With his face slightly cracked, Zane notices a young prisoner watching him intently, urging him to fight. Drawing strength from the child's encouragement, Zane rises, breaking the arm of one attacker and delivering a fatal punch to the other, slamming them against the wall. Overwhelmed with guilt, Zane apologizes to the injured person on the ground with their arm broken. The person pleads for Zane to end their suffering. Struggling with his moral dilemma, Zane hesitates, glancing around and seeing Kattal's sinister smile. Finally, succumbing to the pressure, Zane reluctantly stomps on the person's head, ending their life. Filled with remorse, Zane collapses to his knees as the gang members throw him into a different jail cell, near the kid he encountered earlier. Kattal warns Zane that if he attempts to escape again, the children will die. Kattal leaves them alone to prepare for tomorrow's looting. Zane gazes at the frightened kid, who shares his name as Lucas. Despite his sorrow, he musters a smile and says that his older brother will save both of them, and Zane reciprocates by sharing his own name.

The next morning, Zane wakes up and witnesses Lucas engaged in a brutal fight in the arena against another child. Concern fills Zane as he watches Lucas being pummeled. He calls out Lucas's name, providing him with a surge of courage. Encouraged by Zane's support, Lucas fights back and ultimately kills his opponent. Kattal joins the scene, patting Lucas on the head and offering a smile toward Zane. Soon after, Kattal and his gang members drag Zane into a room, where Kattal informs him that he will be accompanying them on a looting mission. Kattal warns Zane that any attempts to escape or engage in foolish behavior will result in the death of Lucas. Zane nods in understanding. The group sets out to loot for goods in the abandoned town, spotting a nearby gang camp. Kattal whispers to Zane, instructing him to take on the gang alone while Kattal and his men provide support from a distance. Kattal emphasizes the importance of acquiring the goods above all else. Zane nods, mindful of Lucas's life being in his hands. Kattal hands him a machete, and Zane confronts the camping gang.

Zane roars with determination, wielding his machete to fend off his adversaries. With great force, he cuts down numerous gang members. However, the gang surrounds Zane. Kattal and his men rain arrows down upon both the gang members and Zane himself. Zane removes an arrow from his back. The gang's leader and his men deploy smoke bombs, prompting Kattal to urge Zane to give chase. Engulfed in the smoke, Zane continues to battle the gang members one by one, killing them. The leader attempts to escape, but Zane hurls his machete, striking the leader's head. Kattal descends upon the scene, and his men retrieve the goods. Kattal commends Zane, patting him on the back for a job well done. As Zane gazes at the corpses he has left behind, guilt weighs heavily upon him. Returning to their base, Zane notices a teenager observing them from a distance. Zane ignores the teenager as they proceed toward the base. Upon reaching the base, the teenager accidentally makes a noise nearby, catching Kattal's attention. Kattal instructs Zane and one of his men to investigate the source of the noise. As they explore the area, the teenager launches a surprise attack, stabbing Zane in the chest and disarming the other man. Zane gazes at the knife embedded in his chest, observing the teenager overpowering Kattal's man in hand-to-hand combat. The man cries out for Zane's assistance, as the teenager gains the upper hand. Zane hesitates but remembers his duty to protect Lucas, prompting him to engage in battle with the teenager. To his surprise, the teenager displays incredible speed and counters every move Zane makes. Overwhelmed, Zane falls to the ground. The man resumes the fight with the teenager, while Zane watches and studies the teenager's movements. The man collapses from the attacks from the teenager and begins to get strangle by him. In a surge of determination, Zane rises and battles the teenager, successfully countering the teenager's attacks. The man watches in awe as Zane and the teenager move with identical speed, realizing that Zane is mirroring the teenager's every move. Zane delivers a powerful punch to the teenager's stomach, causing him to crash to the ground, unconscious. The man applauds and begins searching the teenager. He tosses aside a picture, which Zane picks up, revealing a photo of the teenager named Brodin and Lucas together. Zane realizes that this teenager is Lucas's brother.

Zane seizes the man's head and snaps his neck, ending his life. Taking a deep breath, Zane punches a hole in his face and collapses backward seeing a screen in his eyes that says "voice damaged". Slowly rising, Zane uses the man's blood to write a message behind the picture. Brodin regains consciousness and finds Zane handing him the picture, his hand broken and his face mangled. Brodin turns the paper and reads the message written in blood, discovering that Zane knows Lucas and that they can save him together. Brodin nods in agreement. Moments later, Kattal and his men arrive at the scene, finding their fallen comrades and Zane lying on the ground with a battered face. Kattal checks on Zane and taps his head, prompting Zane to move slightly. Disappointed, Kattal orders his men to search the area. He tells Zane, whose damaged head affects his speech, that as a robot, no human can defeat him. Kattal commands his men to take Zane back to the jail cell, leaving Zane broken on the floor. Lucas calls out to Zane, concerned for his well-being. Zane slowly rises to ensure the coast is clear. Suddenly, Zane's chest opens, and Brodin emerges from his body. Lucas rejoices at the sight of his brother. Though his voice is impaired, Zane manages to communicate that most of Kattal's men are outside the base, searching for him. He proposes taking over the base from within. Brodin surveys the imprisoned people and agrees with the plan. Zane breaks down the bars of their jail cell and proceeds to liberate the other prisoners, one cell at a time. Brodin reunites with Lucas, and the trio continues their mission.

Brodin stealthily advances and spots a gang member standing guard nearby. Swiftly striking the guard's head with a metal bar, Brodin seizes his weapons and distributes them to the other prisoners. Together, Brodin and the liberated prisoners overpower and eliminate each of the gang members guarding the arena. Meanwhile, Zane observes Kattal and his 30 men returning from their search. With his hand raised, the prisoners stops, who now wield weapons, Zane walks toward Kattal by himself. As Kattal spots Zane, he arrogantly taunts him for attempting to escape again, vowing to personally kill Lucas. Zane's voice, though faltering, rings out as he proclaims that the world is beautiful, but individuals like Kattal makes it ugly. Zane signals the prisoners, who emerge behind him, armed and ready for battle. Kattal is taken aback and orders his men to attack as the string in Kattal's machete begins to glow giving his men a boost of power. The battle rages on, with Kattal and his men gaining the upper hand, killing several prisoners. Brodin pulls Zane and Lucas back, realizing they will soon be outnumbered. Zane instructs them to flee while he holds off the enemy. Brodin takes Lucas away, watching as Zane engages in a desperate fight. Zane manages to take down a few of Kattal's men and confronts Kattal directly, but Kattal swiftly cuts Zane's body in half with a machete. Zane's upper body falls to the ground, and Kattal steps on his head, taunting him about their short-lived relationship. Zane tries to speak, but Kattal cuts off his head. Kattal then orders his men to find Lucas and Brodin, and they begin their search.

Surprisingly, moments later, Zane's severed head begins to move, and he opens one eye, astonished to still be alive. Using his remaining mobility, Zane rolls his head towards his upper body, reconnecting with it with whatever energy that is left. Meanwhile, Brodin and Lucas manage to escape the arena and reach the abandoned town. However, Lucas triggers a rope trap that lifts him high onto a pole, sounding an alarm. Brodin looks around and climbs the pole to free Lucas from the trap. Lucas falls from the pole as Kattal and his men close in on them. They continue running, with Kattal's men in hot pursuit. Eventually, Lucas and Brodin reach the beach. Brodin instructs Lucas to run ahead while he stays behind to fight Kattal's men, but Lucas refuses to leave his side. Brodin urges him to hurry as Kattal's men approach, and he fights them skillfully with a bladed sword. Lucas watches in anguish as Brodin takes on the enemy, killing four men. Brodin turns to Lucas and shouts again for him to run in so Lucas runs off. Brodin then spots Kattal and more of his men, engaging in battle with them. However, Brodin is soon overpowered and brutally beaten by Kattal's group. He falls onto the beach, severely injured and covered in blood, hoping that Lucas will manage to escape. Unfortunately, Kattal delivers a fatal stab to Brodin, killing him. Lucas screams nearby, catching Kattal's attention. Kattal sees Lucas rushing in with a metal bar, swiftly cutting Lucas's neck, causing him to collapse with a severe neck wound. Lucas crawls towards Brodin's lifeless body, and Kattal remarks, "What a waste."

Meanwhile, Zane, crawling near by with only half of his upper body, one hand pulling his body and the other holding his head, witnesses Lucas crawling towards Brodin's body. Zane becomes emotional as spiritual energy begins to emanate around his head. He throws his head towards Lucas and Brodin, and Zane observes Lucas's neck bleeding heavily as he dies atop Brodin's body. Overwhelmed with rage and grief, Zane's spiritual energy intensifies. Data and spiritual energy flow around all three of them. Zane lets out a roar as his head shatters into numerous glowing pieces. Startled, Kattal and his men turn to witness Brodin and Lucas's bodies floating in the air, surrounded by magical spiritual energy. Their bodies merge into one naked form as data and spiritual energy continue to swirl around them. The face of the body transforms into Zane's true face. Zane, now in this new form, lets out a powerful roar as the string wrapped around Kattal's machete begins to glow, surprising Kattal himself. Kattal challenges Zane to come forward, and they prepare to continue their battle. Zane sits down and begins to rhythmically tap his hand on the ground, as if playing a drum. With a forceful strike of his hand onto the sand, it creates a resounding drum sound. Spiritual energy emerges from the sand beneath five of Kattal's men, sending them soaring into the sky before crashing down to their demise. Zane continues to drum the sand, propelling more of Kattal's men skyward. The sand beneath Kattal starts to glow, prompting him to leap forward to evade the attack. The string wrapped around Kattal's machete glows even brighter, granting him a surge in speed and power. Kattal swings his machete downward, preparing for the next phase of the battle.

Zane swiftly evades the strike and leaps backward, summoning a spiritual guitar into his hands. Strumming the guitar, Zane unleashes a powerful sonic boom directed at Kattal. Although Kattal withstands the impact, he bleeds profusely from the forceful attack. Undeterred, Kattal grows enraged and hurls his spinning machete towards Zane with immense power. In an attempt to defend himself, Zane employs the guitar as a shield, but it shatters upon contact, leaving Zane wounded as the blade pierces his side. Seizing the opportunity, Kattal lunges forward, retrieves his machete, and continues his relentless assault. Zane narrowly evades the flurry of attacks, barely managing to stay out of harm's way. In a moment of respite, Zane places a glowing ticket on Kattal's chest, instructing him to wait his turn. The ticket radiates with energy, pushing Kattal back behind a line of shimmering individuals formed by spiritual energy. Confused, Kattal attempts to cut in line, but the glowing figures retaliate, pummeling him with their fists. Kattal fights back, eliminating each glowing entity one by one. Meanwhile, Zane summons a spiritual form of a violin, calmly playing it as waves of spiritual energy cascade from the sky, crashing down upon Kattal and the crowd of glowing figures. Multiple waves strike Kattal, sending him crashing into the sand. The violin dissipates, and Zane, exhausted, falls to his knees, hoping that the battle has concluded.

However, Kattal swiftly reemerges, slashing Zane across the chest. Despite sustaining heavy injuries, Kattal vehemently declares his intention to kill Zane. Swinging the machete once more, Kattal strikes Zane's body. In a surprising turn of events, Zane's face transforms into that of Brodin, and with tremendous strength, he punches a hole through Kattal's body, causing him to collapse lifeless. Brodin retrieves the machete, and as his face shifts into Lucas's, he notices the glowing string attached to it. Acting instinctively, Lucas removes the string from the machete. Closing his eyes, Lucas finds himself encased in a protective bubble, while half of his face morphs back into Zane's. Zane's voice echoes, expressing his desire to explore the world's beauty. Gradually, Zane's presence fades away, and Lucas falls backward as the bubble carries him into the depths of the ocean. Over the passing years, Lucas's body undergoes gradual healing beneath the ocean's embrace. Eventually, Lucas, now in his mid-teenage years, opens his eyes slightly to observe Bael swimming towards him. Moments later, Lucas catches another glimpse as Bael lifts his body and ascends the stairs to the temple. Within the temple, Bael delivers Lucas to the Shaman Master, who instructs Bael to depart. The Shaman Master examines Lucas's body, expressing astonishment at encountering something unprecedented. Noticing data and spiritual energy emanating from Lucas's chest, she becomes intrigued. Observing Lucas clutching onto a string, the Shaman Master examines it, realizing its significance. As Lucas's face shifts back to Zane's, he commands the Shaman Master to forget how they first met. The string glows, and its magical essence flows into the Shaman Master's mind, erasing her memory regarding the destination to where Bael found Lucas. Zane urges her to guide them and reveal the world's beauty as his face changes back to Lucas's. Breaking free from the enchantment, the Shaman Master acknowledges that the string is a fragment of the divine. Looking at Lucas once more, she proclaims that this child will be the catalyst for change in the world. Some time passes, during which the Shaman Master takes Lucas under her wing as her student. Together, they embark on a journey across Freeda, exploring and experiencing the wondrous aspects of the world. Filled with excitement, Lucas smiles, ready to embrace the extraordinary.

In the present time, Brodin finds himself adrift in the vast ocean, struggling to keep his boat moving with tired strokes of his hand since the engine has ceased to function. Overwhelmed by exhaustion, Brodin eventually succumbs, fainting aboard the boat. As fate would have it, the boat reaches the shores of Ziria, where a female gang member notices its arrival and approaches cautiously.
