His father waved him off, "Go answer it."

Leng Qianchen turned and walked out, only picking up the call after reaching a certain distance.

The incoming call showed an unknown number; he hesitated for a moment, then pressed accept.

As soon as the call connected, the person on the other end said just one sentence and hung up.
