Fall of Vismont (Part 1)
While Alterra's war had ended, Vismont's was also at its end… it was just that victory didn't lean their way.
Matthew swung his sword, swiping at an enemy or two, but they shot back at him with equal fervor, injuring him. He was filled with grime and blood, stabbing those who had been trying to get inside the walls—and to be honest, it felt endless. They were swarming in like fire ants.
"KILL!" he ordered, slashing continuously even when his arms felt like it was about to give way. For the next half an hour, he and the remaining guards tried to kill the enemies coming in, but there were too many.
He knew war would come to them eventually, but it was hard to believe they were losing so badly.
They were currently going against Shrao Village, a territory from the West.
These people fought like they had nothing to lose.
On the other hand, Matthew and the others had everything to lose.
