Chapter99: the date 3

Alex and I left and Jaden drove us to a place I had no idea about. Curiosity was killing me and I really wanted to know but every time I asked Alex, he kept saying I'll see. 

"Baby, relax okay. The place I'm taking you is a surprise."Alex said chuckling and I puffed my cheeks.

"Okay."I said and I leaned my head on his shoulders.

"Good girl. By the way baby, I wanted to say something about the bodyguards. You'll have a bodyguard called Bella following you."he said and I lifted my head up and I looked at him.

"I thought we talked about that. I said I don't want any. I will accept the driver but no bodyguards."I told Alex and he caressed my cheeks smiling.

"Yeah, we of course talked about this and I didn't agree. I said I can't risk your safety and with that everything is settled. Bella will start her job tomorrow. She will be wearing just casual clothes so don't worry about that."Alex said and since I can't argue with him I sighed. My life has changed alot in a few months. I'm not complaining, it's just that the bodyguards plan is not really that comfortable.

"Okay then but she doesn't have to follow me around all the time."I said and Alex chuckled.

"It will depend."

"Depend on what?"I asked him.

"the danger alert."he said and I looked at him with a stupified face. I can't believe this is really happening. I was about to say something when Jaden spoke.

"We are here master, ma'am."he said and I realized the car had come to a stop. I have to admit that Jaden's driving skills are really great.

Alex got out even before Jaden can and walked around the car to open my door. He extended his hands for me to take it and I took it getting out of the car with my purse on my other arm.

"Are you sure these heels are not gonna tire you baby?"Alex said looking at my heels and I rolled my eyes.

"I've been wearing heels for years Alex. I'm used to them and I like them"I told him and he chuckled.

"But if I were you, I would prefer something simple."he said.

"By simple you mean, sneakers?"I asked him and he nodded smiling.

"Exactly. They are comfortable and simple."he said and I smiled. He's kinda right but I'm not gonna admit it though.

"Whatever."I said and he laughed.

"You could have just admitted I'm right baby. Now let's go."he said and I hugged his arm and he led me to this big restaurant and I was really curious if the interior will be just as great as the exterior. I know this restaurant but I have never had an opportunity to enter. I couldn't afford the meals here.

We got in and we were greated by an old man who greeted us with a smile." Sir, ma'am welcome."he said and I smiled for the courtesy of being polite. Alex didn't say anything or even react. I can't believe he's this cold to others when he's really so good to me." I'll take you to your table. Please follow me."he said and Alex followed the man. I could see a few stares at us but I didn't care. I should start facing the hard truth as well as getting used to it. I looked at Alex who had a cold look on his face as expected.

The old man led us to a table amongst others and then he looked at Alex as if asking for permission to leave. I looked at Alex who didn't care to look at him and he just pulled a chair for me and I sat then he pulled it back. He then sat next, opposite me and then looked at the man who had to watch him do what he wanted first.

"The menu please."he said and the old man waved his hand then a woman came with a smile holding two booklets and handed them to Alex and me but that's not what I cared the most about. She had her eyes fixed on Alex who didn't even bother to look at her.

She was a beauty and that's for sure but that's so much disrespect when she's setting her eyes on my husband and I am clearly seated just opposite him.

"Is there anything you want woman?"Alex asked the lady who smiled and had an amazed look on her face. What the hell is wrong with her? I really felt like dragging her out of the room.

"No sir."she answered with a sweet voice and a smile on her face and I almost rolled my eyes.

Alex looked at the old man who was by now breaking with sweat dripping his face and neck." Can you get this woman out of here. I thought employees should give the clients the privacy they want. Are the employees here so disrespectful of the customers? My wife and I need the privacy please."Alex said but not once did he look at the woman. His face was so cold matching with his voice too.

The old man told the woman to go wait and I wanted to scream telling him to tell the woman not to come back. The woman went and the old guy looked at Alex looking so apologetic.

"Sir, I'm really sorry for that."he said and Alex didn't say anything. He looked at me and smiled at me

"Baby, what do you want to have?"he asked his voice so gentle and very opposite of how he spoke to the old man who had stood a little far from us.

"Ummm... I ..uh.. don't know."I said because I have not even looked at the menu. I looked at it and I looked up again at Alex who was smiling at me all the while.

"I don't know what to choose."I said chuckling shyly.

"Would you rather we go somewhere else?"he asked and I smiled brightly.

"We can?"I asked and he nodded." Yeah, I really want to go somewhere else. This place is boring."I told him and he stood up and helped me up. He held my wrist and I was really happy leaving the restaurant and miss sweet voice who I gave one last look smirking at her. She really had a fucking nerve.

"Where do you want to go?"he asked and I thought for a while.

"Ice cream Inn or KFC any of those can do."I said and Alex chuckled.

"Are you really serious?"he asked and I smiled nodding." Okay baby. As long as you are happy."he said and he led me out of the hotel.

"Of course I would be happy getting away from the woman who had all her attention on my husband. The audacity of that woman."I said clicking my tongue. Alex chuckled and he snaked his hand on my waist holding me to him.

"You jealous sweetheart?"Alex asked and I glared at him.

"Is that even a question? Like why can't people just respect others. You know what, scratch that, that woman was so disrespectful. I mean I was sitted just opposite you and she couldn't even see that we are together?"I said a little angry. Alex didn't say anything but he just kissed my forehead and we walked to the car but I frowned.

"No cars honey. We are walking."I said and he looked at me like I'm speaking Chinese."yeah. So let's get moving."I said raising a brow at him.

"But you have your heels on. Aren't you gonna be tired?"he asked and I took his hand and we started walking in the busy street. I can't start listening to Alex and his issues with heels.
