Chapter 3: I Had a Video Chat with Waifus

After the morning exercise that was my first-time sex with Risa, we took a quick shower together. I tried my best holding back my desire as to not assault her when she's stark naked like that. But it is still too bland compared with the story I know back on earth. With my forgetful but still useful brain, I started to rewrite stories from my past life. Conscience? Do I have to feel conscious of my action? This is not plagiarism, as those works never exist in the first place.

I rewrote several volumes before contacting the publisher. The stories that I wrote is those that I've had a full grasp on its plot and knew the end of the story. I'm an avid reader, I know the story inside out even better than the author.

Nah, not really ..., there's the time where I forget some part of the story and then I decided to improvise it on my own. I started with bringing Maruyama Kugane's [Overlord], Tere Liye's [Bumi], and Victoria Aveyard's [Red Queen]. The first I published as a light novel, while the other two I publish as traditional novels because of their genre. I got my first sum of money in this world soon after.

I never stopped stockpiling volume after volumes of novels after that. I wrote every story that I know it's inside out. Be it Japanese LN like [Grimgar], [SAO], and [Mahouka Koukou]. Or some other work like Chinese and Korean Novels.

But sadly, Chinese Cultivation or Korean Post-Apocalyptic novel didn't work as I thought. Maybe it has something to do with culture, the general readers in Japan only want the super convenient reincarnation with ultimate cheat and have a harem that will hunt you down to the end of the world. Figure that out after I brought [Arifureta] into this world.

Aside from that, I also hired a team of software developers. This world is similar to earth, but something that is very important for the conveniences of modern people is missing. The social media ..., there's not even Facebook, the very first worldwide social media platform. The only way to communicate to a group is by using a forum or broadcast mail. I wonder how they managed to develop the hardware and invented smartphones. When there's nothing smart about it aside from the touchscreen, can play angry bird, and it has a fingerprint.

With the programmer team, I created the very first social media on this planet. I name it Connect, it has a similar function to Line, or rather I made this app with Line in my mind. After that, I asked them to build Instagram, Youtube, and Webnovel.

"Alright, YouTube platform has been released for 3 weeks ever since and the user kept increasing. I will now start my next project: Spotify. Let's start with the basic framework." I muttered that while waiting for the VS Code finished loading.

But then a notification popped out from the bottom right corner of my vision.

What's this? VPDCG?

I clicked the balloon and a familiar discord-like UI appeared on the screen. I was surprised, and yet ..., intrigued. I haven't yet brought discord into this world and yet, this program looks pretty similar to that application. But I didn't remember installing this.

I read from the message on the very top.

[System] : A wild |Lucky Bastard| has appeared!

Lucky Bastard, is that my nickname? Why the name's kinda ..., out of place? I'm not a lucky bastard.

I read the chat and on the part where they introduced themselves. This group chat member ..., somehow I know about them, but are they the ones I'm thinking about?

I read their chat, most of them were their banter. I am not sure if they are really someone that I know, but from their nonsensical introduction ..., I guess it's a real deal. Or maybe they're just a chuunibyou who cosplays some fictional characters. But then, this world didn't have any of those characters.

I finally finished reading the 102 messages and typed something.

[Lucky Bastard] : Good morning everyone, sorry for the late reply. I'm so tired last night and I hit the bed right after I joined the group. Really sorry about that ...

[Abyssal Witch] : Oh, it's fine. We don't mind, really. Ah, you know me right? Have you read our introduction above?

[Lucky Bastard] : Yes, Ms. Selena. I've read everything above, and I know you ..., in fact, I want to ask. Are you really the Abyssal Witch, the Queen of the Shadow Abyss?

[Abyssal Witch] : Hmmm ..., I don't know, and I don't care about a title like that. It's true though, I'm the strongest in Shadow Abyss. [Revolver Convict] : I thought you're the most knowledgeable about this group chat, you're the admin after all, right?

[Abyssal Witch] : I ..., sorry. Actually, I'm as clueless as any of you ..., it's my first time seeing something like this. I thought I started seeing hallucinations because there's a floating blue screen in front of me.

[Revolver Convict] : Eh, it's not a program installed in your Lens?

[Goddess of Speed] : I don't know what is this Lens, but isn't the chat group active only when you close your eyes? Mine works that way.

[Guardian of the Skyblue] : It looks like, everyone has a different form of this Chat Group. I am similar with our admin-san, it looks like a floating screen.

[System] : A video conference has been started by |Lucky Bastard|. To join the conference room, press Enter.

I started the video conference while they started discussing the difference between their chat group. But really, a holographic technology? I want that? Oh, right ..., if it's in their world, then it might be a work of magic.

The first to join was Rosetta. I could only see her upper body, but my guess was on spot upon seeing her in person. It really was the mysterious rose lady from Grandblue Fantasy. Rosetta was a beautiful mature woman with flowing dark brown hair and a rose headband. Her eyes are deep blue, and there's a small mole beneath the left eyes. She wore a black dress filled with roses and laces. The dress didn't do its best job to cover her upper boobs. However, instead of vulgarity, I can only see elegance even with that skimpy outfit.

"Arara, what a cute boy. I am Rosetta, it is nice to meet you."

Damn that ara-ara, she's really dangerous lady.

"Hello and nice to meet you too, Ms. Rosetta. I'm ..., I'm thinking of introducing myself when the other has joined."

The second to join was Lyssandra, one of the two elves in the group. She had a long ear like typical fantasy elf race and glaring neck-length red hair styled in a wavy bob with a bang that covered her left eye. Her eyes shone in silver light, She wore a big crown on her head, and there's also a pauldron protruding from her shoulder. She had green wing accessories on her back. And yeah, her outfit also accentuated her sexual feature ..., I could clearly see her oppais. Can't forget to mention that.

I never actually know about her, however, if she was really from Teleria. Then she might be one of the Champions in Raid: Shadow Legend. That auto-battle freemium game didn't have any in-depth lore to talk about, but I for somehow remembered the name of that world.

Talking about the main protagonist's ultra-convenient plot armor, I might have one of those. But in my case, I could remember something that I suppose to forget. Pretty convenient, it helps when I'm having a written test.

"Interesting ..., what kind of magic capable of making a projection like that."

Then the last two arrived, it was Selena and Jona. These two appear somewhat unique.

Selena appearance is so bizarre yet it was dazzling. She has mysterious blue-toned skin, lavender eyes filled with scarlet glow, and there's that 'Lele' or the Abyss Devil floating beside her. She has pink hair, a long ear, and a black horn with violet tip. Yep, it's her Selena from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The very first hero to revolutionize the somewhat family-friendly MLBB community into something that filled with nothing but ahegao, it's that Selena.

Jona was another thing in terms of unique sense of fashion. She has lion mane-like crimson hair, pink sanpaku eyes, and there's a few piercings on her face. She wore a white tank top and carrying a weird backpack gun behind her. That was her Revolver, the robotic alchemical hands that will shoot for her. She was from the game Alchemy Stars.

"Yo ..., so our 5th member is a dude, eh?" Jona said.

"Hmm, Abby, this magic that is capable of long-distance communication is interesting, can you recreate it for me?"

"Selena, I'm the Abyss Devil, not your fucking magic spell researcher ..." the four-eyed catfish of darkness answered.

"Eh, really? But my magic all comes from you, right?"

I chuckled seeing this. Right, I never expected this at all ..., is this my cheat? Am I really as what the chat group stated, a Lucky Bastard? But really, a chat group that goes through different dimensions? Where am I transmigrated into, in the world of fanfiction? Oh wait, I'm in a world where anime characters exist ..., this is definitely a world of fanfiction, yup, no doubt about it.

I stopped my chuckle and I saw four pairs of eyes looking straight through me. I coughed in embarrassment.

"Cough, sorry about that ladies. I will introduce myself first then. My name is Amamiya Hazuki, Amamiya is my family name and Hazuki is my given name, in case you don't know our naming culture. I'm the candidate of clan patriarch and a mage trainee. Nice to meet all of you."

"Welcome to the group, Hazuki-kun." Rosetta said with a smile.

"At least you're a cute boy ..., okay then, welcome to the group," said Selena after assessing my face.

"Yeah, I will accept you into the group ..., that is if you sent me the best alcohol you got. Got that?" Jona threatened me with her scary look, but that won't work on me you stupid.

"Jona, stop, not with this talk again ..." Lyssandra rebuked, and the two red-heads begin their banter.

I on the other hand, started to turn my attention on Selena as she is the group admin.

"And so, what does exactly this group chat do? I know the fact that we're all come from different worlds. But what else can we do?"

"Oh, yeah, we can do some trade ..., or gift something through this group chat. I asked Abby about how it works, but the small guy also didn't know."

"It's a complicated space magic, I don't know what force could create a bridge that connects the multiverse but I believe that someone behind this, whoever it is, he or she is a very powerful individual." explained the catfish of darkness with its coarse voice.

"But how strong ..., wait, if it goes by the standard of your world, something like space magic is quite overpowered. The only one that could use it might be someone like Spacetime Walker Natan or Yin-Yang Geomancer Luo Yi. The Astrowarden Yve also had that power, but what she could do is just real-world manipulation. Not the full control of space and time. Wait, if that's case ... won't that make Natan very overpowered?" I muttered my thought out loud.

"Huh, how do you know about my world. Hazuki?"

"Well, I know what I know ...," what a slip, I can't possibly said that I know it from the game in my past life right?

"Okay, and how do you know what you know?" Selena still didn't give up.

"Anyway, Mr. Abyss Devil if you put it like that, the one who made this group chat must be someone very powerful, right?"

"You're changing the topic, you ..." Selena seems pissed of with my next topic no jutsu.

"Yes, yes ..., indeed. It is well-known that space magic is the most complicated branch of magic in the world. Or at least in Land of Dawn, there's only handful of people who capable of space bending throughout the years. And most of the case ..., they're those who almost reached the true godhood." the Lele explained in grave tone. "I believe that whoever it is, the one behind this is someone very powerful. However, I wonder ..., what's the purpose of doing this. Gathering all of you who came from different dimensions."

"You've been talking for so long yet I know nothing about you. Who is this little guy, Selena? Your pet?" Lyssandra who already finished her verbal fight with Jona joined the conversation.

"I'm the Abyss Devil, not this mortal girl pet!" Lele protested.

I had few suspicion regarding this chat group. If my knowledge about some other fan-fiction of anime multiverse world are correct. Forgetting about how unrealistic those stories are because in the end, even if it's fan-fiction, it's still a fiction ... a work of imagination. But yet, here I am ..., transmigrated into a mix of those fictional world, and I got invited into a chat group where there's another multitude of fictional characters.

Anyway, let's continue the talk about my knowledge regarding chat group in multiverse world. If my knowledge are correct, then this group chat has other function aside from chat and trade things between worlds. There must be something like a quest system. Which transported the member into some other fictional universe, messed up with the plot because the member of chat group are all unknown variable, and then returned back to receive the reward from the system.

I heard some feminine robotic voice from my speaker.

Whelps ..., told ya, I just start thinking about this system and it popped out. It's not on the same level as coincidence. This is definitely a set up, there's no way it's a coincidence. I tell you this just in case I'm some kind of characters in some shitty fan-fiction, yes I'm talking to you, author ..., fuck you! Ah but, I'm thankful though that you made two beautiful woman like Risa and Alicia as my maid. And you made the most beautiful waifu ever existed on the history of internet comes to life. I'm grateful about that ..., but fuck you!

"Did you guys hear that...?" I asked the other four because they all also stop and paid attention to the system sound.

"Something about unlocking the quest system ... yeah, I heard that," Jona answered. With the other nodded their head.

I operated my mouse and checked this quest.
