The Large Banquet

By the time Du Ling had a large table of mouth-watering dishes served, the sky had just turned dark. All the dishes on the table were spicy food.

"Auntie, he doesn't eat spicy food." Du Jiuyuan liked spicy food, but because Ji Jingchen didn't eat it, she had not eaten it for a long time either.

"I know, but our Yuanyuan likes it!" Du Ling looked at Du Jiuyuan with a doting gaze.

Every dish on the table was red and filled with chili.

Du Jiuyuan loved spicy food, but Ji Jingchen never ate it. He looked at the chili-covered meat in his bowl and frowned.

Du Jiuyuan gobbled it up, completely ignoring Ji Jingchen.

"Quick, try it. It's very delicious," Du Ling urged when she saw that Ji Jingchen did not eat.

Ji Jingchen looked at Du Jiuyuan, but she continued to eat very happily as if nothing was wrong.

Throughout the entire meal, Du Jiuyuan ate to her heart's content. Meanwhile, Du Ling had been busy serving more food to Ji Jingchen.

After eating, Du Jiuyuan stood up and returned to her room. Du Ling tidied up the dishes and busied herself in the kitchen. Ji Jingchen did not leave. Instead, he sat on the sofa and took a nap.

Jiang Cheng was three steps away from him. When he saw Ji Jingchen's condition, he trembled slightly.

Ji Jingchen, who had never eaten spicy food before, suddenly ate so much. His stomach must be feeling very uncomfortable.

Du Jiuyuan returned to her room to find a box of medicine for the stomach. After hesitating for a moment, she took the medicine and walked out.
