Chapter 6: Why?

Ryzel also understands the law, so of course he agreed when Dwight proposed.

Now, after five months, Dwight has suddenly canceled their wedding.

If he wanted to break up with him, why didn't he do it sooner?

Isn't he too cruel?

It's just a month away before his twentieth birthday!

Ryzel was starting to get angry thinking about Dwight.

His fury was further intensified when he thought of the reasons for their breakup, as Dwight said.

If all along, what he wanted was a nice and compassionate wife, then he shouldn't have courted him or even proposed.

They have been together for almost two years. Dwight should have known that he wasn't gentle and kind. But now he is even using it as a reason for their breakup.

As for him being more focused on other things, he admits that it's true, but isn't Dwight the same? He was also busy with his duties. 

If he wanted him to just focus on him, sorry, he can't do it.

Ryzel was very clear about himself. Even if he gets married, he will still focus on his studies or jobs.

He knew that the matching rate between guides and sentinels was very important.

He actually knew why.

He and Sean are cousins, and their relationship isn't good.

Sean was always good at pretending. When he does a bad thing, he is going to blame it on other people. If he wasn't alert, he would have been blamed for many things. That's why he doesn't like Sean.

He also knew that Sean had always been jealous of him because he was more beautiful and talented than him.

Sean's parents were also the ones who got shares of his inheritance instead of him.

So, their relationship was really bad.

But aren't they too cruel to destroy other people's lives just for themselves?

Sean was really great; he directed a high sentinel to ruin his life.

Just thinking of the gaze full of care he received from Dwight makes him want to vomit.

He never wanted to receive love that wasn't meant for him.

Ryzel's thoughts were interrupted by a sudden notification.

"Master 'gracious uncle' is calling you; do you want to answer it? "Star the AI in his light brain notified him in a monotonous voice.

The 'gracious uncle' saved in his contacts was his second uncle.

It was only a few minutes after Dwight had left, based on the time. Her family members ought to have been aware that he had just met Dwight.

'Okay, let's see what they want to say,' Ryzel thought, knowing that they were the ones who agreed to the cancellation of his marriage.

He doesn't really like the marriage system at this time.

So one of the laws states that as long as most of the guide's relatives agree to it, an engagement can be broken off easily.

Now, the law that was supposed to safeguard his interests was used against him. 

"Star, accept the call," Ryzel ordered.
