Chapter 140: The Three Phases of the Marvel Universe and Ideas for New Heroes.

Thanos remains the ultimate big boss in the end.

But his defeat should not be treated as a joke, as it was in the original storyline.

The most absurd thing is that according to the previous setup, everyone knows that the six Infinity Stones are not something ordinary people can use.

Even someone as formidable as Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, theoretically shouldn't be able to use the Infinity Stones, let alone snap his fingers.

This aspect is somewhat contradictory.

Of course, this plot hole can be patched up. (It was perfect for me though.)

In some version, Tony Stark has been the Sorcerer Supreme.

A period of time can be inserted in between, allowing Tony Stark to learn some magic.

Otherwise, during the true cosmic war, mere technology alone would not be sufficient to match the cosmic entity.

But that's something to address later.

If we follow Kevin's plan, Thanos' appearance would be in Phase Three.

Currently, we're still in Phase One.

What we need to do is to introduce all the main heroes in Phase One.

Kevin Feige explains his plan.

"The main storyline I've designed for Phase One is the emergence of the superhero era. We'll have over ten movies featuring no less than fifty superheroes."

"Of course, the main focus will be on about ten individuals who will serve as the primary force. The others will only have minor appearances in the major battles."

"At the same time, multiple comics and TV shows will serve as auxiliary support to build the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

"Well done. And have you implemented the special Earth setting that I mentioned?"

Kevin and the two of them have already discussed the concept for the three phases.

In the first phase, superheroes will make appearances in each other's movies, possibly just for a scene or a segment.

They will interact with each other in other movies.

Through these segments, Marvel wants people to understand that these characters exist within the same world.

While Spider-Man fights crime in New York, the Sorcerer Supreme wanders across the Multiverse battling mystical threats, and Captain Marvel upholds the role of law enforcement in the cosmic realm to maintain peace.

These various characters together form the complete Phase One.

And Phase Two is quite simple.

The cosmic overlord, Thanos, decides to use the power of the six Infinity Stones to restore balance in the universe by wiping out half of all life.

To achieve this, he sends his minions to collect the stones throughout the entire universe.

The heroes confront Thanos' minions and, at the same time, highlight the power of the cosmic overlord through the presence of the Sorcerer Supreme and Captain Marvel.

With sufficient setup, we can truly showcase the power of Thanos and allow the audience to empathize with the struggles of the superheroes.

At the end of Phase Two, we should arrange a partial victory as a conclusion.

Then, in Phase Three, the heroes start with a devastating defeat in their battle against Thanos, easily overpowered. To turn the tide, they come up with the idea of manipulating time.

As for why Earth is so significant and everything revolves around it, Kevin wants them to find a solution to patch this inconsistency.

"Yes, in our concept, the origins of the universe manifest as seven stones."

"The first six are not secrets in the cosmos, but the seventh stone is known by very few."

"And that seventh stone is Earth. It is because of this that when Earth is on the verge of crisis, the stone gives birth to numerous superheroes to combat the disaster."

Kevin Feige explained one by one.

Kevin nodded, and it seems that Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is plausible. At least it can be self-consistent.

In this plan, Kevin still intends to use the first version of Spider-Man, played by Tobey Maguire.

In this version, the relationship between Spider-Man and Tony Stark cannot be the father-son dynamic seen in the later versions.

According to Kevin's idea, keeping Tobey Maguire's version and adding a bantering dynamic, making him an amusing rival to Tony Stark, would be a good approach.

Of course, there will be changes to the storyline.

First of all, the death of his girlfriend is too much, as it doesn't align with the light-hearted tone of Marvel's family-friendly content.

After all, family-friendly content is always the largest market.

However, the classic scene of his uncle's death, which sets Spider-Man apart from other superheroes, can be preserved.
