Illusions

"Sir, it looks just like on the MALPs video feed."

Carter said as she saw a Tent in the desert not even hundreds of meters away, which what looked like medieval armored men in white armor, but the light of their's helmets or the sparks that flew of the tip of their spears betrayed any vision of medievality and shoved its technological advancement.

"Well, good then... This is Jack O'Neill, you can come through."

Jack said into his walkie-talkie and looked at Teal'c, who stopped walking.

"Hey there, big guy, what's up?"

Jack asked, but even if it seemed like an innocent question, his eyes sharpened as he knew Teal'c.

"It's wrong..."

"What's a wrong big guy?"

"The winds..."

Teal'c said and took a while for Jack to understand, but after that, his eyes widened, and he wasn't alone as both Carter and Daniel jumped to a ready stance with their P90 ready.

But before Jack could call base to halt the civilians coming in, he heard the familiar sound of someone coming through the gate and silently cursed his luck.

"Colonel! What is the meaning of this?"

Weir asked as she tried to fight the nuisance feeling from the first stargate travel, but her priority of talks came beforehand of her health condition.

"Not now, something is wrong there, we-"

But before Jack could continue, there was a strange hum like sound, and before their very eyes, the desert, the sand, and the sun with sky slowly changed into a white wall with blue symbols all around that seemed to shine in a strange light that made Jack's soldier instincts crawl with dread.

What Jack and others didn't know was that the wall's symbols were magical wards to fend of any supernatural intrusion from the gate, just like they served to hide the gate from outside world screening...

"What, but this kind of illusion, they must have very advanced holo-projectors, much different from Goauld's."

Carter said as she awakened from the fact that the sand she previously held in her hand was just some kind of holographic illusion.

"A Hard-Light projectors to by more precise."

Said a voice that seemed to belong to a young woman, yet there was a strange undertone, like if she was speaking with... Children...

"Forgive us for this deceiving, but our people long ago learned that if you want to survive, you must hide what you can do."

As Jack and his team with the diplomatic team looked in the direction from where the voice came, their eyes widened as they saw three women, two who could and probably were sisters, and one middle-aged woman who wore something Carter wore when she was in her lab.

But the sisters, white hair, blue eyes, figures clothed in clothes that looked too expensive, and identical scars on their eyes...

That was strange...

"Welcome, to Stargate facility, and welcome to Remnant. My name is Weiss Schnee, Princess of Solitas Kingdom, besides me, on my right is Weiss Schnee Princess of Solitas Kingdom and my sister, and on my left is Moira Vahlen, a scientific expert that will assist in our talks."

Did he hear right? Jack wondered as he heard the names, identical names with identical titles for two identical-looking girls...

If one didn't look older than the other, then Jack would think they were twins...

Albeit with the same scar and name...

"I-I see, then its pleasure to meet you your majesty's, im doctor Elizabeth Weir the leading ambassador of USA, by me right is my assistant ambassador Joseph Faxon, and our security follow up, Colonel Jack O'Neill, Major Samantha Carter, Doctor Daniel Jackson, and Teal'c of Chulak, please do not be offended by this, it's it our custom to send ambassadors with a security."

Weir said, and the younger, or rather the youngest girl, just shook her head.

"None was taken, on the contrary, if you didn't take any precautions with yourself, I think of you as, how to say it politely, as, stupidly naive."

The youngest girl, Weiss or something Jack thought, strangely German name, said with a hint of scorn, and Jack immediately felt he would have love-hate respect for that brat...

Weir seemed to tremble little, but that stopped as she smiled and got her wits back.

"I see... Can I ask if we would speak there, or..."

"No, no, how rude of me, come follow us to the diplomatic room."

The girl said and seemed to ignore any of their possible attempts to halt them as she walked away through the door that opened for her, and enormous, metal door that would give what they had in SGC run for their money...

And...

"Are those fucking lightsabers just on pike?!"

And as Jack said it, he could feel gazes of everyone shift on him, with Weir seeming to seethe, but once they looked at the pike of golden knights, they stopped.

"I believe that they are O'Neill."

Ah, the ever deadpan voice of Teal'c would never stop boring him.

"No, they are our Schnee family Royal Guards, and the pike's tips you see are plasma generated."

Weiss said without much as, looking back at them as she started walking again, this time with all of them in her wake.

Jack just kept looking at the pike's and the men and women who held them, to think they reminded him of Jaffa and their staff weapons made him a little nervous, but, from all he saw, these guys didn't hide their advancement behind some magic preaching, even if they said that they do have King...

So a feudal society was it...

After a while, they seemed to arrive at their destination, and all the way Jack and others kept looking around, from the pristine white walls, that seemed to be iluminated by blue like lines on the walls, but still with clear white light, to the seemingly clear corridor without any doors or anything other than these lights that seemed to be made into some kind of symbols, soo similar yet different from the Goauld palaces...

Still, Daniel seemed to enjoy the walk as he looked all around the walls on the symbols, uttering some names and names of some gods and cultures he seemed to recognize the symbols being from.

"We arrived."

"But I don't see-"

But before Weir could refute the Weiss girl, they witnessed how one of the walls that were previously clear seemed to as if eat itself...

"Marvelous, some kind of nanotechnology door? No, that would look differently... Another hard-light technology? No... Then how..."

Ahh, Carter never changes, Jack thought as he heard Carter babble another ten different theories, most that made Jack feel like a villager in a big city...

"Come, you can sit on black chairs, take any drink or food, they were prepared just for you as our show of politeness to our guest."

Weiss said, and ignored the blonde-haired woman who kept babbling different kinds of things about doors functioning that were just dimensionally displaced into another place by utilizing magitech technology.

As Weiss's sat at what looked like white thrones, with Moira sitting in a comfy blue chair, with the black chairs for the guest being an ordinary, as a sign of power, they waited while their guest sat and Weiss said.

"Well, then, let me once again welcome you to Remnant and to the Solitas Kingdom."

Weiss said as before her on the table, a hologram with a snowflake symbol raised up, followed up by an image that made Jack and others take a deep breath as they look at what seemed to be a floating city in the skies.
