Another Year Passes

Asahi ducked under the blade aiming to cut his head off, "Iya Remiel, is this about last time~?" and backed away a little bit only for Remiel to once again cut off the distance between them and slash at him, only for each of her hits to be evaded, this bastard kept appearing everywhere and haphazardly killing everything, who knows how many of her brothers and sister fell to his hands in the past years since this war had started, While Asahi was smiling creepily while dodging her, during the past year Milim being the adorable little thing she is had destroyed even more than he himself did, he sighed, "The Hundred Years War may just end up becoming the Five Years War if this continues."

Remiel gritted her teeth in frustration, why did he have to come here?! Lamenting her luck she ran her eyes across the battlefield to find that the ground was littered with dead bodies and limbs nothing literally nothing was alive, "When did you-?!" she was cut off by Asahi whho had somehow come up behind her, "Multi-Tasking?" he asked her a bit confused with what he should call it. After all he was using small appendages to pierce everything while conversing with Remiel, She shouted at him in anger, "Why are you doing this!?"

Asahi dramatically clenched his fist, "To avenge my family!". Hearing his response she sated at him in shock, what did they even to do to his family to deserve this? she contemplated as she looked at her dead brethren, Asahi smiled widely and scratched the back of his head, "If I say that it sounds cool right?" he said in a playful manner. "So that was a lie?" she asked him a bit confused. He nodded and got some lightning to the face, "Can you be serious for once?!" she shouted at him out of frustration after all he was almost always like this!

"Oh I am serious though." he whispered in her ear he enjoyed such exchanges very much, once more shocking the archangel at how easily he could just come up to her like that. He looked in a certain direction and smiled, "Oh they're having fun aren't they?" he said watching some Nobbus crucify an Angel and then pierced her chest killing her. He whistled, "Those things just make it more terrifying." they looked at him and saluted before turning to dust. "These aren't the actions of a sane man!" Remiel shouted at him in disbelief while he stared at her like she was an idiot, "Woman are you serious? Also better keep an eye on Gabriel~." he said showing a strange smile in the end.

Not waiting for an answer, Asahi bowed and dissipated into black mist after all he had found something much more interesting leaving Remiel to just stare at the place he was in before quickly leaving, for some reason he had been leaving the Archangels alive, much to their frustration he was just toying with them.

Asahi appeared on a green hill with a single house in the center, he lit up a cigarette and blew out some smoke before walking to the door and knocking on it, the door opened to show a beautiful woman with amber hair, "Oh, do you need something?" he gave her a kind smile, "Miss, Can I talk to your husband?". She gave a happy smile perhaps remembering him, "Are you an acquaintance? He'll be back in a few hours."

She was a completely normal human but that energy was definitely holy, leaving him to wonder how something like this could happen in a world like DxD. Nodding at her he walked away silently while muttering something to himself, "Nephilim.... an irregularity." he once more dissipated into black mist with a maniacal grin they're at war aren't they, a Fallen Angel's family eh? "Hehehe...."

IN THE UNDERWORLD,

The Devils ran frantically around gathering their stuff while moving about as explosions sounded in the distance, "Are we the Devils here?" one of them wondered out loud, before running off. "That pink haired She-Devil!!" another shouted as he packed his stuff moving to a shelter. With her daily raids, she had made their daily lives a living hell, ironic considering they actually did live in Hell or more precisely the Underworld. "Huahahahaha! Bring this Lucifer or something out! I wanna fight him!" Milim shouted as per her daily schedule, what was with these people? If he was so strong why won't he fight her?!

"Mou~! Milim you can't be so rough with them~!" Ultima shouted at her from the side. Milim put a hand on her face, "Ho! Is that it?!" and nodded wisely ignoring the last part of what Ultima said as her smile turned maniacal, "After all bugs die easily~" and launched her Nuclear Flames as the approaching Devil force was decimated. "Looks like he won't be coming! I've got it! Let me go ask this God or whatever for a fight!" and blasted off leaving Ultima to sigh and follow her, why did she have to babysit her?! but she shook such thoughts out of her mind and blasted off after her.

IN THE COMMAND ROOM,

Zeus gave off a dry laugh, "The fuck is even going on anymore?" what was he supposed to make of a war where literally leaders go around killing everything in sight causing heavy casualties, Shiva patted his shoulder, "I just stopped thinking about this a long time ago." Odin silently stared at the screen contemplating something, the thing on his mind was that often times there would be casualties on their side as well and Asahi would write them off as collateral damage with a smile.

Amaterasu looked again at Tsukuyomi with a contemplating look, "Well we must admit he is strong." Susanoo said folding his arms, in the previous years he had somehow come to like Asahi because he was a comrade in arms often fighting many battles alongside him. Ares nodded his head, "Agreed." Aphrodite gave a long sigh, "A shame he's a lolicon." they had this going on for a while now, with both of them bickering with each other, one calling the other a slut and the other calling him lolicon. Ophis looked at her from Asahi's seat and spoke, "....Slut." causing her to stare at her with wide eyes while everyone else burst out laughing. Ophis herself however was a bit confused after spending more than two years by his side she for some reason was quite attached and was quite annoyed when someone insulted him.

DANMACHI SIDE,

With the others, three more months had passed since Milim disappeared with a letter in her place. But that was not important, after all the the Hestia Familia got it's first Guild mission during that time and after the ups and downs, Liliana, Keiko and Saeko who had previously achieved Level 4 were able to break through to Level 5 after beating back the Floor 37 Behemoth alongside Bell's party to some extent, but as one would expect this wasn't a shounen manga and they were going to lose, BUT there comes in the fact that after the two families merged Carrera, Testarossa and Kumara were considered a part of it and had to go in as well.

And with Testarossa already annoyed by the damp atmosphere when it jumped at her she slapped it's face flinging it into wall while also shattering some of it's jaw, "How Brutish." was her remark, while Carrera cracked her knuckles, "I've been waitin' for a chance ya know? so thanks ya dumb fuck!" she shouted launching at him and letting out her frustration at not being able to go along and all the games being destroyed as well on the poor creature, she then proceeded to beat the shit out of it and after who knows how long what was to be the bane of adventurers lay down on the ground twitching in a near death state.

She twisted her head backwards and looked at some more approaching monsters, she grinned and materialized a baseball bat and then proceeded to smack the shit out of them as well, all the while Bell and the others looked on in horror and shock at what the hell was going on. To Saeko however the scene of Carrera swinging a bloody bat sending pieces of flesh around was quite pleasing. Kumara who was standing besides Haruhime at the the time walked over to the Behemoth and swung the fan she was holding a good combination with her kimono. That swing turned the entire space in front of her into a grinder, leaving the monster to scream out in pain as it twisted and churned before being completely removed from existence. She smirked contently, "Bugs."

Lili perhaps out of horror and shock stated out loud, "If they're this strong, why do they follow that scum." As soon as that left her mouth however, all heads snapped towards her mostly out of anger at Asahi being called that. Carrera rested her bat on her shoulders and slightly tilted her head to the side, "This is the last time runt." and walked away but not before shooting her another glare that froze her.

After getting out and being done with everything including updating their status, All of them were gathered at the main room just messing about to relax after that expedition, Kumara's tail moved about as she day dreamed about something, while Carrera was just sprawled on the floor. At that time a rift opened up and a wild Asahi shot out of it before enveloping everyone in a hug, after all he just missed them too much, 2 years were too fucking much! After getting a bit back, "Oh, you guys leveled up, I'm proud of you!" he said smiling while patting Liliana, Saeko and Keiko, as for how well he grew a third arm!

After some greetings and a bit of converstaion,"Now then all of you are coming with me!" he said clapping his hands and turning around towards the portal, Carrera got up, "Fuckin' finally!" she said excitedly joining him. Asahi turned to Saeko, "A war is ongoing right now." and smiling while looking at the grin that spread across her face, after all with Asahi there was nothing holding back her true self. Asahi put his hands in his pockets and walked out with everyone right into the command room. He grinned at Aphrodite, "Lolicon eh?" before immediately feeling bad about it after talking about his girls like objects and apologizing.

His gaze fell on Milim fighting a bearded old man, he ran over to it, "What happened?!"
