Chapter 2

Page 13- _Aghasting Words_

Rintaro smoothly opened her eyes and her first sight turned out to be dreadful. A fan was spinning on an oak white elm roof with implecable blades at top speed. The air it produced though, was enough to make anyone forget about summer. She got up from a nursing bed covered in a white and yellow floral sheet, and her eyes met the sweet smile of a worried nurse. She had been waiting and watching Rin until she was awake. "Wait, am i at a hospital?". Her head wriggling with questions, she tried to get off the bed but felt a strange strain throughout her body. The nurse jumped to her aid and put her back into a resting position. The badge she had on her coat made it easier to know who she was. Under Sasaki General Hospital was written Assistant Dr Akane Kikuchi.

Akane..... _Oh you're awake. You shouldn't move much. You were brought here after fainting by two fine looking young men, who were later joined by a young lady._

Rin sort of had a hunch as to who they all were, but assuring herself she asked.

Rintarõ..... _Did they tell you their names?_

Akane..... _Yes, they said they were....._

Before she could finish, the room doors were banged open in a rather unnerving way. Close up appeared Keisuke at the left and Takahiro to the right. They seemed to be out of breath and simultaneously delivered a huge sigh. Cooped up at the back was Aigasaki. Although she didn't express her relief like the others, her eyes were tear-full shining with sincere happiness. She stood silent when the other two went on saying, " How!" together. Silence fell like a thick blanket when they halted until they gave each other a chance to speak.

Takahiro and Keisuke acted cool and composed, but their expressions seemed to say otherwise. They both hated each other's guts, and their faces grimaced in anger when their eyes met. "How are you feeling?," asked Senami. He was more anxious than the others for some unknown reason. "Are you ok?", gestured Takahiro towards Rin's head. His expression gave little away so it was hard to tell whether he was worried or not . "l'm feeling a little bit better now, you can be at ease no need to worry," Haruno wasn't that much convincing. Her voice was gently smooth and lower than usual.

Keisuke.... _You scared me back there. I thought you wouldn't wake up!._ *gentle voice*

Rintaro... _Sorry you had to bring me here. I feel like i've caused you a lot of trouble._

She replied as thankfully appreciative as she could. "Although i'm glad i wasn't able to hear what you wanted to say before i fainted, it sounded like something i wasn't prepared for", she whispered to herself while Kei was distracted with Takahiro.

Senami's shocking words back then had almost appeased Haruno, but she did not want to hear the rest of them.

After a while of bickering and endless stares, Rin's face quirked into a small smile and asked,"So how did Keisuke and Takahiro meet here?". A question that was aimed at both the boys and Aigasaki Merumi, but little did she know soon she would regret asking. Tensions mounted between Senami and Akamaru. As the air became stiff, you could see a strong enigma between the two. It took a while before Aigasaki started explaining the situation.

Aigasaki.. _Both Keisuke and Takahiro met at your house. After you collasped Keisuke called me for help. When we were about to leave ,Takahiro over here, suddenly showed up._

*FLASHBACK*

Keisuke... _What are you doing here?_

Takahiro.... _That's my line, i'm supposed to pickup Rintaro, but here i am looking at her in your arms. Explain why she's stuck in those nasty hands of yours._

Keisuke..... _I'm not obliged to tell you that now, am i?. And you're one to talk about disgusting, noisy idiot._

Flashback end (FBE)

Aigasaki..... _They bickered that Keisuke even put you down to fight, that is until i stopped them and explained the situation. Although now i'm regretting doing that, i was starting to enjoy myself a little._

As soon as she finished explaining, the whole room burst into giggles for a short while, but that's when it hit Rin's mind. Why had it taken Takahiro all day to just come and pick her up. She asked him the popped up question. His face turned down facing the bone white shiny tiled floor splashed with a guilt look all over him.

He looked back at Rin with a gloomy gaze as he spewed out the so urgent matter. "I had forgotten that the Akamaru fashion and design company was holding a magazine modeling competition, and i was one of the models" he said. He sounded so disappointed in himself, but Rintaro wasn't really surprised. She actually expected something like this coming from a successor to a whole company.

He was after all, an important figure in his family, so she just dropped the matter. Contrary to her calm demeanor, Senami's face grimaced with disgust. "Oops, i had forgotten that you had a model competition. How was it?, were eyes focused on you as always including our Mother's too?". A scary expression had appeared on Keisuke's face, his usual humor was gone and Rin noticed there was more to it than just competition. But what came to her mind were the weird words spoken by Keisuke.

Rintarõ.... _Er...umm ,Are the two of you related somehow?. I'm kinda confused when you say 'our mother'. Ohh..uh , you don't have to answer if you don't want to_

Haruno didn't realize it but somehow her voice had gone a bit high. Her questions made the room more tense. Even Aigasaki became really focused trying to understand the situation.

Keisuke.... _Ohh right, you don't know anything. Takahiro should we tell her our true identities?, if so you tell her, i don't really like introductions._

Takahiro looked straight into Keisuke, before gazing back at Rin. "I don't care either way," his eyes radiated a sharp glow of pride and a certain amount of pity.

Takahiro..... _Keisuke's mother divorced his father and my mom was married to his dad._

Rintaro's mind was a bit confused and flustered about asking such a sensitive thing, but she got it somehow. In simple terms both Keisuke and Takahiro shared the same father, which meant both of them were brothers. "No wonder they looked so alike," thought Rin. Both she and Aigasaki were totally blown off. Dr Akane on the other hand, just stood in silence. Alarms erupted in Haruno's mind. ALERT! ALERT! CODE RED!. Although they explained their relationship, Keisuke and Takahiro still hated each other, Rin though couldn't ask why. She wanted everything to stay as it was for a while and wait until the dust settled.

Amidst all that chain of events, the boys thought of one thing in common. They stood upright, bowed before Rintaro and started saying,"-----------
