CHAPTER ONE

Page 6- _Nervously hyped_

After finding nobody present in the infirmary room, Rintaro decided to go back to class. Already outside the door, Takahiro called her. He went on rambling," i'm surprised you haven't confessed to me like any other girl or is it possible you hate me?". "l'm not like any other girl," she rolled her eyes upwards with a sharp gaze. But, _mr popular_ wasn't satisfied with the answer. He pulled out his hand and strayed it over the wall, slightly on top of Rin's shoulders and slowly went nearer towards her. A classic over the top move, which left his auburn red eyes stunned into Haruno's, whilst she gazed into his. From his sharp look came a scary stare as he blurted out those three simple words, which somehow Rintaro found hard most of all to say, and asked "what about you?". His vehemence was clear enough to the extent of a desired answer by Sunday evening since it was Friday noon, and just pulled back as he went back to class. He had arranged to meet at a location abstract for his stature, the Shokuji Ramen shop, where mostly commoners appeared.

For a moment there her mind was blank. She calmed herself down with a couple of deep breaths and went back to class. As the English teacher (_Mr Yamamoto_) continued with his lesson, all she could think of was earlier on's incident, and most students were asleep.

Mr Yamamoto Keichiro was the English teacher of the first years and students hated his way of talking throughout his lessons. Worst of all friday he had a double period in Rintaro's class, making him the teacher most students hated. Annoying included, he was the extremely strict type and among other things which added to the ominous silence when talking, students feared him.

Hundreds of thoughts tumbled through Rin's mind each worse than the last. She pushed them off with a speed born of fear after noticing the corner smile of Mr Yamamoto, drawn as a sign of warning. Finally, the day was over after breaking a sweat from the fear of being picked. Both Aigasaki and Rintaro walked home until they parted ways, leaving Haruno to coincidentally run into Keisuke.

Usually he walked home even though his mother would urge him to be taken from school to home in one of the black shiny family limousines.

The sky was pale blue frosted with zigzag clouds, but already there was a hint of the chilly cold to come with the approaching sunset. They stood at the station gate and as she was about to say goodbye, he pulled her towards him and wrapped his hands around her.

Rin discovered his hands to be a bit big and warm. She felt as though his chest was like a big warm and fluffy pillow. Every moment of it left her in the sweet melody of an amnesiac confusion. In her mind a part questioned all of that. She sunk in his chest so deep she could hear what he was saying in a vibration like motion.

Keisuke.... _Tommorow there's going to be a meteor shower at night so could you come and watch it with me? And Uhm, could you also spend the whole day with me on a date?._

Although the date part really didn't cross her mind, she simply said yes with no hesitation. All on her mind were the cozy warm hands wrapped around her. As much as she wanted it to last, the wheel of fate would not stop spinning for a single girl's heart. Keisuke exchanged goodbyes with Haruno and both went their separate ways.

Arrived home she greeted her brother and went straight to her room. She threw her bag on the bed, changed her uniform and took a bath since Takashi had already prepared it like everyday. Barely finished in time, she went downstairs for dinner and as they ate, Takashi turned on the tv. That's when Rintaro saw the news headline "Meteor shower at 9 tommorow evening. It hit her, coming to realize what Keisuke meant. With her heart pounding and anxiety mounting, she pigged her food up. Her brother looked from a distance while he cleaned the dishes. Rin had to do her best to avoid her brother's nagging, so she decided to ease his look with small talk.

Rintarõ..... _Why the worried stare?_

Takashi..... _Who between us is worried right now?._

Rintarõ.... _l know i'm not._ *sweat drips*

He brushed his fingers through Rin's hair and said something that would convince her to stop lying.

Takashi.... _You know, you were never a good liar since elementary school. You were like an open book, the moment i caught you doing something, twitching would be your first move while rolling your eyes up and down._

Even though Takashi spoke, only he seemed to notice all the time Rin was lying. The best of lies couldn't work on him. In the end, she had to tell him the whole story.

Luckily far from refusing, he didn't freak out since he knew how much Rintaro admired Keisuke since elementary school. Infact he was very fine with it, to the point of cooling down his younger sister and giving her some ideas for the day.

Just after their little chat, Rintaro went to her room to contact Aigasaki. She had felt like telling Merumi about "_crush Keisuke_" would increase their friendship span, so the day after they met she told her all about him.

"I totally understand and l can even give you some ideas for your first date," sent Aigasaki.

Soon after hanging out, Rin and Aigasaki found out they were anime fan-girls. And as a result, both ended up drifting from the reason they'd contacted each other and began talking about their favourite anime.

While the dark night slithered away, she struggled to sleep. Merumi was no longer online and she could hear snoring from Takashi's room. Bit by bit she wallowed into a deep slumber and after what seemed like a few hours her alarm went off like crazy. She had no choice so she just woke up, put on her blue pink stripped flip flops and went downstairs. Her brother had prepared breakfast and since she didn't want to embarass herself on the date, she just shoved in some scrambled eggs instead.

Takashi had already bathed and was ready to go to work. He worked part time somewhere on weekends, so offing was a rare thing for him. No sooner had he taken off, did he leave Rintaro to make the house a mess with all her dress ups.
