Chapter 10 (Chaos in the market)

Days went on when Feifei just stayed laying on the bed. Her back soon started to hurt. She then stood up and wore a beautiful dress. Jiaojiao asked, "Where are you going? You are still bedridden. You can't be exposed."

Feifei said, " I will get truly bedridden if I stay here for more longer. I need walk as my back is hurting from laying down. Since today is Sunday let's go to the market and see what historical markets looks like."

Jiaojiao sighed and allowed Feifei to roam around but not more than two hours. Jiaojiao too got ready and both went out heading towards the market area.

The market looked so lively. Both of them were looking around excitedly. Feifei told Jiaojiao to get something for her to eat as she was tired of drinking bitter medicine daily. Jiaojiao told her to stay in one place so that she doesn't get lost while roaming around the market area. When Jiaojiao went away, Feifei was near a jewellery shop. She went inside to have a look at the shop. But when she went inside, she saw a woman of about fifty years old was being scolded by the jewelry owner.

Feifei asked the reason to the other people. The people said that the jewelry owner was accusing the woman for theft. Feifei looked at the woman and didn't believe that she would still anything as she looked like a person from humble family. She then saw a person in the the crowd who was hiding something in his pocket.

Feifei came out and helped the woman by saying that she was not a thief. The jewelry owner asked," Are you two accomplices? Why do you help her? I saw a her stealing the jewel."

Feifei then asked, " What proof do you have that she stole your jewels?"

He then said, " It must be hidden in her pouches." Feifei asked the woman to lend her the pouch and asked her to trust her.

The woman gave the pouch reluctantly. When Feifei was about to open the pouch, she stopped and asked, " Wait since you are sure that she stole your jewels. If the jewels are not in the pouch, what will you do?"

The jewelry owner said, " I will tell the queen mother to punish me and I won't go back on my word. But if the jewels are inside, then you have to bow me fifty times in front of my shop."

Feifei agreed to his conditions and was about to open the pouch but then she suddenly stopped and said, "Do you see the man wearing green shirt. Bring him here."

The green man was about to run when the other people caught him. The jewelry owner said, " What tricks are you trying to play now?"

Feifei then closed the lady's pouch and told the people to search the man. When the people searched, they found out that the man had stolen the jewels.

The jewelry owner gulped and looked at the people. Now the jewelry owner didn't care about his jewels but instead cared about his own life which was going in the hands of the queen mother.

Feifei said, " I hope you keep your word." She gave the pouch to the lady and went out of the jewelry shop with a smile.

Jiaojiao called her from far and scolded her for having left her behind. After sometime, the lady came out of the shop to look for the girl but to her disappointment she had already left. She asked people about the girl and learned that she was Feifei the daughter of the Prime Minister. She then said with a smile," We will meet again in future."
