The Drive pt 1

"Yeah, that was a little weird. Almost like he was jealous or something." I said with a small growl of annoyance. There is no reason for him to be jealous, seeing as how he rejected Natalie. And as if sensing this annoyance and anger, Natalie put her hand on my arm and gave it a reassuring squeeze. I then pulled her into my side and kissed her forehead, which caused her to sigh in content. Seems like I was not the only one that needed to calm down.

It was about 30 minutes later when we met up with Mr. and Mrs. Morris near the cars that were parked next to the pack house. With it being almost 10pm, we would not make it back to Blood Moon until 3 in the morning. So hopefully they will be okay for the drive.

"Are you sure you do not want Kaden to drive you guys there?" I asked Mr. Morris.

"Oh, no. We are perfectly fine Alpha Lucas. Just being able to get out of this pack and still be able to have Natalie around has given us a spark of determination and energy. We will be behind you the whole time." Mr. Morris told me while putting their suitcases in the trunk of his car.

"Well, I for one and happy you guys are coming with us." Natalie told Mr. Morris while giving him a hug.

"Alright, if anyone gets hungry just let me or Kaden know. We may have to get gas on the way home." I said to everyone.

Once all the suitcases and Natalie's backpack was loaded into the cars we set off for Blood Moon. We decided it would be easier if Kaden rode with Mr. and Mrs. Morris. That way if either of them got hungry, Kaden could just mind link me since they have not joined my pack yet.

"So, what is Blood Moon like? I have never been outside of River Rock before." Natalie asked me. This caught me by surprise, I thought she would have been able to go out and adventure. I guess u was wrong about that, but I will change that. She will get to see the world.

"Well, it is quite beautiful there. We have lush forests, and a river that runs by the pack house. There is a school, library, gym, houses upon houses, along with some stores. We usually so not have to go outside the pack for anything. But if anyone decides to adventure out, there are a couple cities that are on either side of the pack." I told Natalie. I loved the fact that she wanted to know about the pack. "Every two weeks we have a pack BBQ, and after the BBQ we usually do a pack run. But before you get to do that, we have to get food in that body of yours. If not then you will be in more pain, and not just from the first shift."

"I kind of figured that. Midnight wants to be let out and run, but she knows that it would hurt me if we did it now." She said with a small smile. Man, every time she smiles it makes my heart skip a beat.

Dom: goddess she is beautiful.

Me: I know bud, how did we get so lucky?

Dom: I honestly do not know, but we cannot lose her Lucas. I have a feeling she may be special.

Me: what do you mean?

Dom: I mean with her wolf Midnight. I have this feeling that Midnight is a special wolf. But she will not tell me if she is or not. I also realized that our mate is stubborn as hell.

Me: Well we will just have to figure that out when she finally shifts. And I may regret it later, but she can be stubborn if she wants.

Dom: Yeah you are definitely going to regret that statement later. Hahaha

After blocking out Dom since all he is doing is laughing now, I looked back over at Natalie. She was slowly falling asleep looking out the car window. I know she is trying her hardest to stay awake, but I know she needs sleep.

"Why don't you go ahead and get some sleep love. I will wake you up when we stop for gas." I told her while rubbing her arm.

"Are you sure? I can stay awake, I just haven't felt this comfortable in a long time." Natalie said while looking at me with sleepy eyes.

"I am sure babe. Get some sleep, and when we stop for gas I will see if they have some sort of pillow I can buy you. That way your neck does not hurt." I just want her to be as comfortable as possible.

"Oh its okay, I will be fine without one. I have not had one in a couple years, so." She said while looking out the window.

"Nope, you are getting a pillow. How do you not have a permanent kink in your neck?" I asked with a little chuckle.

"I honestly do not know." She said to me while blushing a little.

"Get some sleep love, we won't be stopping for another hour or so." I said softly. I was expecting a response back, but when I looked over at her, she was fast asleep. Even in the darkness of the night I could see that she looked like an angel. There was a small smile on her face, and all her features were relaxed.

Kaden: man, these two are hilarious!

Me: oh really?

Kaden: Yeah, especially when they are bickering back and forth. You would think they would full blown fight, but one of them will say something random, and bother start laughing.

Me: hmmmm, alright then. How is everything else?

Kaden: good, they have told me a little bit about Natalie. Mainly how she is shy, beyond stubborn, and the most caring person they have met.

Me: funny enough, you are not the first to tell me she is stubborn

Kaden: what do you mean?

Me: Dom has been talking with her wolf Midnight, and he said that she is insanely stubborn

Kaden: oh goddess, you are going to have fun with that.

Me: oh hush. We will be stopping for gas in a few, please let the Morris's know.

Kaden: sir yes sir

I cut the mind link after that considering he was laughing. Ugh, I cannot wait to get my mate back home. Then I am going to make sure I spend a lot of time with her, getting to know her. And then when she is healthy enough I will help her shift. It should be easier with me and Dom there.
