Passed out

Everyone was busy paying attention to our proctor, but I was busy doodling on my notes. It's so boring! They were discussing about the history of their world and here I am, who doesn't know anything about it I am too ignorant for their topic and history is not my type of subject to pay attention. This subject was quite boring

"AGATHA!" I turned to our proctor in shock "You weren't listening!" It hit his senses

"Why would that listen, if that's not from here" Amelia's friend interjected, it's a good thing that girl isn't there, only her friends are our classmates today

"Anastacia!" Our proctor said to her. I could help to snort out loud and she glared at me

"Let's go back to our topic. The king decided to leave the kingdom and be with his commoner wife. We believed that no one has ever seen his face after all the king always hide his beauty inside the mask. After he left his throne only his golden mask left and yet everyone who touches it will burn their skin. We believed that someone was destined to be in the next in throne. The castle became abandoned. We believed that, no one was destined to sit on it" our proctor said

Who the heck would abandoned his kingdom just for a random girl? Besides he could've just let her be his queen why bother running away and abandoning your people just because you fall in love?. Don't tell me that woman was his mistress?....that part of history was quite interesting

When our class ended, Avery said goodbye to me saying he was just going somewhere. As I was walking, I didn't realize that my feet took me to the abandoned part of the library...wtf?

I don't even know this place!. Is there a part like this in school? I was just in the hallway, but now I don't know where I ended up! Is someone tricking me?

I gulped so hard trying my best to stay calm, how can I come back?! When I don't even know where's the way to the outside

"Hello?!" I shouted maybe because there might be other people here besides me but as expected only wind greeted me

Is there really no one here besides me? Where the heck am I? I walked around first

As I looked around I saw a man. Leaning against the wall while reading a book

"Hey?!" I tried to get his attention but I guess he couldn't hear me. As I was trying to get near him but our positions are getting far away from each other!

He turned in my direction and the wonder behind those masks was obvious in his eyes. My eyes widened this what our proctor described the king who abandoned his people just for the love of his life

"H-how did you end up here?" This is a question for me. His voice was somewhat familiar but I couldn't figure out who he was since he was wearing a golden mask

"I-i Don't know. Can you help me get out" I pleaded. He put down the book he was holding and approached me

"No one even had the ability to get inside my unconsciousness...no one...only her" he raised my chin and his breath became heavy

Unconscious?? Do i look like i'm unconscious? I'm wide awake!

"My mate" he suddenly said. I was suddenly nervous at what he said. No! I'm not his mate, I don't feel any romantic reaction towards him! How could I possibly be in love with a dead man!

"I'm sorry, Mister but I am not your mate, you must be mistaken" I tried to stepped back but his other hand encircled around my waist

He chuckled at shake his head "this is not the time for us to see each other...wake up, Darlin" he whispered and after that everything became black

I woke up and I was in the clinic. I looked around and saw Avery with a worried face

"What happened to you?!" She furiously asked

I was trying to remember about what happened, but my mind became blurry. I couldn't even remember the man's body aside from his voice

"W-what happened?" I asked in confused. How am i supposed to know what happened when I tried everything to remember anything but my head became fuzzy!

"You passed out in the hallway! Don't tell me you didn't eat breakfast? How did you even passed out?! If Nicklaus didn't see you, you might be lying there in the hallway" Avery said while massaging her temple

Nicklaus? He bought me here? "How did you even know why i am here?"

"Adriana is here earlier to handled some things but then Nicklaus arrived while carrying you. But Nicklaus didn't stay long, so Adriana called me to let me know you were at the clinic," she explained

I nodded to what she said. I wanted to go back to our dorm but Avery forbade me since I'm still not feeling well, even though I told them that I'm alright already

I'm more than blessed that I have them by my side. I didn't remember anything earlier, how did I even pass out? The only thing I remember. I was walking in the hallway and then....a man's voice showed up and that's all I could remember!
