Initation?

After taking off his VR headset Ryan just layed there thinking about what had just happened.

He wasnt sure how long it had been just laying there but when he heard a knock on his door, Ryan was brought from his trance like state.

"Ryan, can I come in?" Kana asked through the door.

"Yeah. Even if i did say no, you would come in anyway." Ryan replyed as he sat up and stedyed himself on his arms.

As the door opened Ryan could see Kana enter, but because the rest of the room was dark as the lights aren't on. Kana could bairly make out his figure. Fliping the light switch on so she could see him, Kana notice he was proped up on his arms facing her.

"I forgot to give you your phone back." Feeling embarrassed about how she ran off earlier without giveing Ryab his phone back, Kana talked in a bairly audible voice.

"I figured you just wanted to copy it all down so you can have it for later." Wanting Kana to think he didnt know she got carryed away. Ryan feined ignorance and replyed with what seemed logical.

Seeing a excape she nodded and replyed. "Well yeah i did do that."

"Then its all good" Ryan replyed and looked at his phone in her hands.

"So did you get on to do any crafting or questing?" Ryan asked while getting up off his bed.

"Not yet, I'm travleing to the capital so i can meet up with the others. Then I'm going to do some of those things.

I have been preparing for the trip up until now. but I logged off for dinner." Kana replyed while holding out his phone for him to take.

"So how far are you from the capital?" Taking his phone Ryan decided to ask.

"About 8 hours if I'm doing non stop travel. I'll be the last to arive I think." Kana put her finger on her lip and pondered.

"Well just make sure to log out and get sleep. We do have school tomorrow."

"Your one to talk." Hitting him on the shoulder Kana turned around and walked out of his room to go down stairs.

Smileing as she walked away, Ryan turned off his light and followed her.

Noticing the smell of food Ryan went to offer a hand in the kitchen but was turned down.

"Its not like i get to cook for you two that often so you just take a seat and wait patiently." Is what Jasmine said.

Ryan just nodded and went to the dining room to take a seat at the table. Thinking about how his mom worked 12 hour shifts so much he took out his phone and looked at his note pad app.

'So 1 gold is 10 dollars." Thinking to himself while reading his notes he wondered how hard it was to get gold. He knew that the money system had copper, silver, gold, and something above that but he couldnt fined out what it was.

'For the price to be this way it shouldnt be easy to get.' Sighing at this thought, Ryan decided to ask his sister.

"Hey Kana do you know how hard it is to get gold?"

She was sitting across from him also looking at her phone but apon hearing him, she looked at him and nodded.

"Gold isnt easy to get by any means from what i can tell. I have done a few quests but I have only got silver from them." Pausing as if she had forgotten something, Kana continued seconds later.

"Well all but one that is, I got 5 gold from my initiation quest."

"Initiation quest?" Puzzled at the new term, Ryan looked at her and spoke.

"Oh right, you didnt get one. However that is also odd because everyone gets one as soon as they start playing. It also helps you get into a faction like the Holy Church or The Knights that will offer you quests from time to time, so it's odd you didnt get one." Turning to her phone, Kana started to look up just to make sure heR brother was the only one that didn't get a initiation quest and that seemed to be the case.

"Maybe I did get one though." Saying out load while thinking to himself, Ryan thought of the nightmare but Kana was thinking something elts.

"Right! The people that helped you might have the quest but you need to do something to get it from them!"

Ryan didnt cosider this and laughed at himself for thinking that hellish thing was a initiation quest. 'Not even a sicko would make that a quest for a new player.'

"Well i guess I'll have to get a quest from them if I can help it. However it might mean i wont be able to join you and the other girls immediately." Noticeing this small detail, Ryan spoke to her trying to gauge His sister's reaction.

Of course, as he expected Kana didnt look happy and glancing at her eyes confirmed that fact.

"Well it cant be helped I guess." Kana sighed in defeat while sounded a little down.

'When i log back on I'll talk with Rianna.' Realizing he would need to talk with Rianna he wasnt sure how to approach her after what happened.

"Alright you two, Eat up." Jasmin walked up to the table and set there plates down in front of them.

Dinner consisted of them talking and eating. They mainly talked about thier days but when asked about his, Ryan said they already knew about everything he did today and tryed to change the topic. They knew this as well and didnt mind the change in topic as it was one they loved to talk about
