Festival of Carnage

Heading back the way they came, it only took them moments before the weird aura they were feeling started to disappear. When they finally made it back to the main lobby, something didnt feel right to Silver though.

Looking at Liz and Emy it didnt look like they were haveing the same feeling as him so he didn't feel a need to worry about it to much.

Leading Liz and Emy to the front desk, Silver could feel them staying close to him.

"Excuse me but I wanted to know where you keep books about Gargoyles." Silver asked the young lady at the front desk hoping to be quick so they could leave.

Looking up to see him the younge lady smiled and looked down to her binder and started to flip the pages.

"You should look in Section M3." Finally stoping after about 30 pages she looked back up to him and spoke.

"Thanks." He said before bringing Liz and Emy back to the second floor where he had seen a sign on a bookshelf that had a M on it.

Walking up to the Bookshelf and pokeing around he could see many volumes of books named 'Magical Monsters'. Picking up one and fliping through the pages, he noticed that the monsters inside were sorted alphabetically.

Looking in the book for creatures that had names starting with the letter G, he could see the book stoped at E. Putting that book back and grabbing the next one on the shelf he started to flip the pages until he started to see names that started with G.

"let's see." Silver mumbled while fliping from page to page in serch of the Gargoyle.

[(Gargoyle)

Gargoyle's are creatures who have lived just as long as man. Gargoyle's tend to range in shape and design but the one the capital has been studying looks just like the one in the picture on page 74.

Although Gargoyle's are thought to be born by magic it has been proven that a gargoyle can lay a egg and that they do so 3 times in their lifetime.

Gargoyle's are known to be immune to slashing attacks.

It is unknown if they have a weakness.]

The picture of the Gargoyle at thr bottom of page 74 was of a human looking figure with enormous bat like wings similar to a Nocturnal Echo Mother. The face could only be described as something you would see when you imagined a goddess and the clothes she was wearing looked to be something you would see on a gladiator from midevile times.

'No weakness known. Well that could be a problem. Maybe I could go back to the alchemy section and find something that eats away at stone?' Silver thought to himself of how he would deal with fighting a creature who is immune to his main way of dealing damage.

Feeling Liz and Emy grab onto his shirt he looked to see them both peaking at the book from the side. Looking at Emy for a second he had a thought.

"Emy how dose your taming magic work?" He asked while thinking if the magic could actualy be called taming magic.

"Its summoning." Emy said in a sheepish voice.

"I can't creat a contract without them being unconscious or willing." Emy said slowly while looking at the book in his hands.

"So if I was sleeping you could make me your pet?" He asked with a smile only to see Emy's face flush red.

"It-it dosnt! I-I can't do it to you, I mean humans." Emy stuttered while trying to correct Silver and bury her face into his shoulder at the same time from embarrassment.

"Yeah i figured" Silver said with a grin.

Looking back at the pictures Silver decided not to worry about it since there wasnt a obvious way to kill it like he was hopeing.

"Alright well I think we should head back to the others and grab dinner before anything elts." He said while closeing the book and putting it back on the shelf.

Seeing Liz Looking at him with a dreamy expression he wondered what was up with her. Waveing his hand infront of her face a few times while saying her name got her attention on no time.

"Ready to go?" Seeing her just stareing at him he asked.

Watching as Liz Nodded, he could feel Emy let him go. Turning around and walking twords down stairs he could hear Liz and Emy following behind while Liz whispered to Emy. Although Silver couldnt make out what they were saying he didnt mind.

Walking downstairs and to the front of the Library he was about to exit when someone came crashing into him sending both of them to the floor.

"So sorry, gotta go." A girls voice could be heard from a robed figure that was getting off the floor.

Noticeing that she didnt have any books or anything in her hands as she ran away, Silver wondered why she was in suck a rush.

Getting up on his own he could see Liz and Emy had gotten awfully close and were inspecting him to make sure he was ok.

"I'm ok, let get going." He said with a smile since he could feel worry coming from the girls eyes.

Seeing them hesitantly nod, He led them to their carriage and had the Carriage driver begin to bring them back to the pheonix district.

Enjoying a nice ride with Liz and Emy all the way back to the pheonix district, they arived at the same office they left from in no time. Walking from there all the way back to the Inn with Liz and Emy was a quite affair since neither Liz or Emy were very talkative.

Ariveing at the inn Sliver brought Liz and Emy back to his room. Opening the door to his room Silver could see Kaiya and Blair were on the second bed with some items in between them.

Looking from one of the items to the next Silver could see one looked like a apple but was purple, another was a deck of cards, and a couple of these stones that had weird markings on them. Looking next to the bed he could see a pile of different types of metal piled up.

Walking over to the pile and crouching down, he looked at the pile of metals with interest since he does remember seeing a few of them at the open market he was at before.

Looking up to see Kaiya looking at him and Blair looking past him, Silver got up from where he was crouching and proceeded to sit next to Blair.

Liz and Emy moved to sit on the oposit bed after seeing Blair looking at them.

"Get anything good at the market." Silver asked while looking at Kaiya.

"Sadly there wasnt much that was good but there was this deck of cards. The metals were something Rianna picked up. She said they were for you before she left to see Rachel." Kaiya said as she looked at the items infront of her.

Picking up the apple he could see Information start apearing on his retinas.

Putting the apple back down Silver picked up the deck of cards and could see they were just a normal deck of playing cards.

"So whats up with the apple?" He asked since he could uderstand the playing cards but not why they would get the apple and why Kaiya didnt mention it.

"Actually we didnt buy the apple, it was laying outside the door when we got back." Blair said as she decided to lay her head on Silvers shoulder.

"Well if thats the case I will see if it has any use in alchemy." He said before readjusting his satchel bag so he could open it.

Seeing his Sachel bag was already open a little he found it a little odd but decided to open it anyways. Looking inside his bag only to see a book that he specifically remembers putting back was a little worrying. The book was one that sent a shiver down his spine and made him regret ever picking it up in the first place.

Right there in his bag was the book [Festival of Carnage.]

"How-" He muttered as he pulled out the book from his bag.

Liz and Emy also could see the book in his hands and both scrambled up onto the other bad hopeing to get away from it. For some reason it gave them a awful feeling from just being near it. why they couldn't feel it until now was anyone's guess.

Kaiya and Blair didnt fail to notice how Liz and Emy were acting after Silver pulled out the book. Looking at the book themselves they didnt notice anything strange though.

"Is something wrong with this book?" Blair asked while looking at the book with wonder.

"He put it back." Emy said with a shaky voice.

Looking at the book himself, Silver could see that there was now a bookmark about three fourths of the way through the book that wasnt there before.

Opening the book up to where the bookmark was he could see some wrighting on the bookmark that was covered before.

Blair after reading what was written on the bookmark sat up and looked at Silver with a stare that made his blood run cold.

"Its not what you think." Silver said feeling like his life was in danger.

"Who is Catira?" Blair asked with a voice that sent a shiver down his spine.

"I dont know." He said quickly.

"You don't know." Blair said with a accusatory sounding tone of voice.

Nodding quickly he hoped she would believe him. For some reason he felt like he was walking on a rope and any misstep could send him into a pit of spikes.

"Then you dont mind if i burn this?" Blair asked as she grabed the bookmark.

Shakeing his head and watching as Blair made a flame on the palm of her hand. He could see her burn the bookmark while looking into his eyes the whole time.

"What was on the bookmark?" Kaiya asked since they were just makeing a sceen and Blair had already burned it to ashes.

"Nothing important. Right Ryan." Blair said while still looking at Silvers eyes as if saying 'i dare you to say otherwise.'

"Yeah it wasnt important." He said after swallowing nervously.

Seeing Blair smile before leaning her head back onto his shoulder he finally felt a little relieved.

'I didnt know Brooke could get so scary.' He thought while looking back to the book.

"Blair its best you dont look at the pages of this book." Silver said while closeing the book so Blair couldnt see its contents after he remembers how a page burns when someone does.

"Why not?" Blair asked while getting off his shoulder again sounding a little pissed.

"The pages burn up when read and they arnt exactly the most- pleasant things to read." He said while pausing to find the right word to describe the contents of the book.

Seeing Blair mulling over what she wanted to say, he stayed quite alowing her to think.

"Fine but you and i are going to have a talk later about a few things." Blair said to him still not happy.

Watching as Blair got up and went to sit next to Liz and Emy who were still looking at the book with worry, made him wonder what she meant by 'Talk later about a few things.'

'Is something elts bothering her?' He wondered.
