Crypt of Tragedy: The Start of the Dungeon Crawl

After looking at the rewards for completeing this quest, Silver wondered what the second and third items were as the names implied they could be useful. However he didnt think about it for too long as they would get it later as a reward as long as they completed the quest. He would just check out their details at that point.

"If we are all set then lets head in." Silver said while heading to the entrance to the dungeon after seeing how nobody was talking and the guard went back to his post.

Seeing that Silver was walking to the entrance to the dungeon the others followed behind.

Walking into the cathedral Silver could see the place was a complete mess. The floor was filled with broken pews that left wood sprawling out all over and if one looked at the floor carefully, blood stains could be seen from time to time.

Sunlight shown down from openings in the ceiling highlighting the bloodstains and wood. Larg gashes could be seen on the walls as if something had clawed at them along with the same melted holes that alowed vines to enter and creat almost root like formations near where the wall meets the floor.

Up near where the podium should of been was a larg hole and behind the hole was a large glass pane that depicted a beautiful figure that could not be decearned as a man or woman as if the one that made it could not decide.

Although the area around the glass pane had melted in spots and vines could be found all over, there seamed to be a invisble barrier that managed to keep the glass pane in prestine condition.

Walking up to large hole in the floor, Silver and the rest of his group could see a spiraling stair case with blue light from torches hanging on the wall.

Looking around and not finding anything elts to indicate where to go, Silver procceded down the staircase with everyone following behind.

The stairway spiraled for 5 minutes before ending with a set of double doors at the end of a hallway. Apon pushing on the doors, a brightly light room came into their view. A brasher with a blue flame flickered. The walls of the room were made of finely chiseled stone and looked pristine. However other than the brasher in the middle of the room it was completely empty.

Walking into the room everyone felt like they passed through a vaile of mana and faint warmth could be felt that told them as long as they were inside they would be safe.

Silver started to move and look around the room for any indication of where to go next but became a little stumped. Other than the doorway that they came in from and the Brazure, there wasnt anything.

Kaiya was watching Silver this whole time and couldnt help but fined what he was doing amusing. Blair, Trista, and Emy also watched but only for a minute.

They all have been to a dungeon outside the Griffen district and also had the same problem their first time. So watching someone elts have the same problem they did, makes them feel a little better.

"Silver, the brazure is the entrance to the dungeon." Blair said ruining Kaiya's fun of watching her brother walk around like a headless chicken.

Looking at the brazure for a moment before walking over. Silver put his hand near the brazure and found that when he finally touched it, a bright blue wave spread out and covered all of the group.

Kaiya and the others watched as Silver disappeared before their eyes when the blue wave hit him and when it also got to them, they disappeared as well.

When they all reappeared they were in a damp and dark room with a similar brazure but this one wasnt lit up like the last one.

Looking around and seeing that the walls looked a lot more old with cracks and moss on them. Silver realized they must of been teleported to the dungeon at this point.

Looking over to the hole in the wall that looks to turn into a long and dark hallway. Silver decided that it would probably be best to get everyone into their positions before the procced.

"Alright LIyr will be up front with Kaiya. Ailia and Cristy can stand behind LIyr with Blair. Rachel and i will hold up the back and protect Liz and Emy. Trista and Rianna will be in front of Emy." Giving out orders and assigning positions for everyone, Silver notices that nobody seemed to hate where they were placed.

It was the best formation he could think of on the spot that would work for their curent group.

Now that everyone knows their spots Kaiya and LIyr walked up to the hole in the wall and turned around slightly to see if the others where following.

After seeing that everyone was behind them Kaiya and LIyr started down the pathway.

As they got further and further in, It started to get darker. It was almost pitch black when Kaiya finaly used a skill to make her Shield give of a yellowish light that illuminated the area in a 15 foot radios around her before the darkness truly started to set in.

Seeing this Silver finally realized why none of them had torches on them and also thought that this was a unique skill.

Thinking about light sources, Silver thought of the Blue Vine mush and how it illuminated about a 10 foot radios that was just sitting in his bag and pulled out 3 viles too give to A few party members.

"Emy pass one to Trista and one to Kaiya." Silver said after tapping on Emy's shoulder.

Emy looked back and could see 3 Viles of a bluish mush that almost resembled moss in a way. The glow it was putting off was very unique.

After recalling what Silver had said, Emy took 2 of the viles and procceded to pass them to Trista and inform her to pass one to Kaiya.

Trista had the same reaction as Emy did and eventually passed one to Blair who passed it to Kaiya.

Kaiya became a little dazed by the vial that was passed to her but after seeing the glow it was putting off. She realized it was actually going to be better to use instead of her skill. Skills cost mana and although her [Light] skill only cost 5 mana for 5 minutes it still could be consuming if enough time passed.

Takeing this opportunity to look back Kaiya could see both Trista and Silver also had a vial on them that was glowing in a 10 foot radios of dim blue light, that illuminated enough of the area to let them see their surroundings.

Takeing the initiative Kaiya proceeded down the hallway for 7 minutes until they found a rotting courps laying on the floor with two other corpses walking around. One kept walking into a door on the right of the hallway and the other would walk for a few feet before stumbling and changing its direction.

It was kind of comical to see such a seen but that didnt change how their was 3 zombies in front of them.

As Kaiya and LIyr were getting to position so they could grab agro. Silver took a look at Emy to see her reaction to these zombies.

Although Emy has a Summon, it would be best to get her another if possible while they were in this dungeon.

He didnt think a zombie was a good fit for her cute and shy nature but it could be a meat shield at least.

But after seeing the discusted look on Emys face as she looked at the Zombies, he immidiatly wrote Zombies off the list of summons for Emy. 'Maybe she wouldn't mind a skeleton?' Silver thought as he started to prepare just in case he needed to step in. After all, most of the group was still level 1 or 2 and it might be hard to face monster's higher level than you.

Takeing a look back up front, Kaiya was just about to taunt the 3 Zombies. Slaming down her foot, Kaiya send out a wave of white light twords the 3 Zombies. The white light clashed against the walls as it was sent out in a cone and when it finally hit the 3 zombies they turned their heads as if they just had seen the most delicious meal that they have ever layed their eyes on.

Moment's later the 2 zombies that were already standing ran over as if their lives depended on it and the last one started to crawl over. Seeing the last Zombie was crawling Trista aimed her arrow she had prepared at it.

Letting the arrow fly, Trista didnt hesitate to knock a second arrow and send it flying at the same zombie.

The first arrow that Trista sent flying had already embedded itself in the back of the zombie as Trista missed the head with he first arrow but the second one landed in one of the zombies eyes and made if faceplant into the ground dead.

As Trista sent the cripled zombie to his second after life with her second arrow, the rest of the group did not sit idle.

LIyr, Ailia, and Cristy all took out their weapons. Blair also unsheathed her katana while Emy Summoned 2 small snow kittens. Once the snow kittens where summoned, they took up a stance to try and look fierce but it was comical and cute if anything.

Although Liz was a healer she was a shaman and didnt only specialise in healing magic. Summoning a totem right up front right next to Kaiya, Liz was going to prove that statement true. This totem looked small and only reaching Kaiya's waist. It kinda looked like the ones you would see when you look up tiki totems online.

Once the totem was summoned, the parts on it rotated so the face was looking at the zombie closest to Kaiya.

As soon as the Zombie closest to Kaiya managed to get within 5 feet of the totem. It spat out a stream of fire that immidiatly started to melt the flesh off the first zombie. The fire was indeed hot as even Silver who was at the back of the group could feel a small heat wave come from the small burst of flames that came out of the totem.

However just as fast as the fire appeared, it disappeared and the totem slowly crumbled back into nothing only to leave small glimering particles that slowly disapated.

Silver was at the back and could see Liz with beads of sweat on her forehead.

As the first zombie slowed down a little from the burst of fire. The second Zombie that was walking caught up and now was right beside the first one preparing to lash out with its claw like hands.

Kaiya raised her shield, preparing to defend from the incoming attacks from both zombies only to feel her arm going numb from the force of both attacks landing at the same time. Grimacing from the numbing pain, Kaiya didnt wait and used a skill that made her shield start producing black smoke.

As the black smoke slowly gathered on the front of her shield. Kaiya mouth slowly curled up into a grin and a few words excaped her lips in a whisper.
