Chapter Twenty Seven: The place called "Human sin".

How dare you go back on what I planned, he thundered, making her shriek. Do not forget who you are Mira, or I will strip you of all I gave you. No one touches what is mine, not even you. Do you understand? She nodded in fear, her hatred seeping deeper. I was unable, to get your child today, but I will soon, she smirked at that. He moved fast and held her by the throat. They buried the dead and cleared the debris caused by the attack. We need to find The teacher soon, Kunle muttered after a while. I know where he stays Aiden said finally. We can't see him until an hour in between mid and dawn.

Aiden took the circle to a place called "Human's Sin" a forest that doesn't look like one. There were trees as tall as a skyscraper, small plants and herbs aligned in rows, and fruits that could entice any being. Ayooni noticed despite all the plants there was no sign of leaves dropping. Too neat to be called a forest she said.

They walked past a place so bright the sun pales in comparison but too sad even death isn't on par with it. Anike and Asani felt their head buzz with the noises from the place. Feeling the distress in her sisters, block it Ayooni said to them telepathically. I feel them just as you do but this is a test of faith so block it and walk with me.

Anike and Asani straightened after hearing her, their eyes meeting with hers with a small smile playing on their lips and they continued to walk. After they passed through there. Ayooni let out a relieved breath. Where was that? We are in a place called the in-between Aiden answered her. They all waited for him to continue but he didn't say more. Ayooni caught a double meaning to his world but kept quiet. Where to, Yemi asked him. We wait. Shadows creep from the ground trying to get hold of them but they try to fight it off. The more they fought the plentier the shadows came up.

Stop fighting Yomi said stepping back. Look at the patterns. They stopped as he requested but they didn't see what he saw. Yomi moved closer to one of the shadows who had stopped too and placed his hand on it. 

He looked at his brothers, I don't think they are harmful he said. Yemi and Kunle were apprehensive at first knowing Yomi could play jokes even in the middle of a burning fire but they trusted him and touched the shadows anyway. The Shadwos moved leaving a clear pattern on the ground. 

They are souls Kunle stated. Yes they are, I think he used them to keep this place alive. Where is Aiden, Asani said abruptly making Yemi snap his head up. He was here a while ago. Feeling his leg give out under him.

Try connecting to him first Ayooni said gently. She knew despite his aloofness towards his father he was scared he would sacrifice himself just like Emily did. I can't feel him he said his voice wavering. Ayooni kept quiet for a while then touched his shoulder.
