chapter 6

The day that miley forgave bill brought peace to miley's hear and so to bill , she was never free in her heart than that day , after paying a visit ritha and her parents waved to the other and went home , bill also departed and so did their friends miley stayed at the hospital waiting for bill's dad decision , she was so happy that bill took a brave and polite risk to pay a very costly service for miley to be cured . Early in the morning ritha woke up as usual she had a shower and , had breakfast her father dove her to school she entered the class room and went and sat in her place , carlos also came and sat next to her, " ritha did you know" , " no what do you want to say" , "I've spent a whole month withought seeing you" , " no you're joking riht because yesterday you sat next to me as usual" , " think again ritha we have just started a new month" , " come on carlos , don't be silly" and theyall laughed , " ritha do you remember that there is school prom party in this month you've got to be ready, oh my god I just forgot about it I have to tell Jennifer ritha said to herself but she was late the teacher was already in class , so ritha had to wait until break pause to tell Jennifer , class was so boring she couldn't focus, she spent most of the time looking out of the window, " ritha , do you mind lending me your attention please" the teacher said , ritha ccame back from her thought , " is everything alright ritha" , carlos said , " I was very far in my thought" , ritha said , " it has been a long time without going surfing and I really miss the sea , " then why don't you go surfing with your friends after school , " carlos you can't understand I have to look after my coach we normally go to visit her in the evening , but I think I will try tomorrow" , the bell rang and she went to meet Jennifer. " hi" , she said as she sat next to her , " hi what brings you better not be about the prom party, " you know what never mind it is it" , " I don't want to hear about it" , " then why don't you want to hear it" , "ritha let's not talk about it" , " okay then , I have a far more better idea , why don't we go surfing tomorrow" , " no problem" Jennifer said as she stood up" Jennifer seemed to be in a hurry , ritha went out , but before she took another step she knocked into bill , and he dropped his books , ritha bent to pick up the books," sorry , I didn't mean it tom , " thank god I met you I wanted to see you ,, ritha about lanna and I , I think things are not going well between us ," , " tom don't worry I know lanna loves you and I think you should get more closer to her and all will be fine" , ritha said to tom ," yeah ritha I know but what I want to say is far more than that , I want to tell you that , from the first time I saw you …" , " tom I think it is time to go I have to do something" , ritha said and walked out of his sight the bell rang and ritha went back to her class , " come on tom knock it off" , she whispered to herself , carlos then came and sat next to her , " is everything alright ritha", ritha tried to disguise "no ritha it's not right , you can't lie to me" , " okay carlos ,I'll tell you but don't tell anyone tom is behaving awkwardly when it comes to me and I really don't like it" , " then approach him ritha and know what he wants to say" , " do you think it is the best thing to do" , " that was m suggestion" , the teacher then entered the class as soon as carlos finished talking. At the end of class ritha picked up her bag and then lanna came , " ritha do you mind we walk home together , I want to talk to you" , " okay seems fine to me" she said and they went , they passed by tom and he seemed to look at ritha in a familiar way , when lanna noticed ritha disguised , " ritha tom was a nice guy before we met but right now I think it is not the way he is" , " lanna I understand what it feels like but I think you should give tom all your time and it will change" , " tanks ritha I really appreciate it" , " any time lanna looks like we're here lanna , I think you'll continue on your own bye" ritha said to lanna and she entered the gate . Ritha kept on thinking about tom and she was worried about lanna but had nothing to do about it . Ritha's phone rang it was bill , " hello" , "hey ritha , thank god you picked up I think I have something to tell all of the other guys , tell them we have to meet this afternoon" , " ok bill I will" , she then texted the others and told them to meet at the club" , she then threw her bag in the couch and headed back to the club. After they arrived bill also came " guys let's go inside I don't want anyone out here to hear it" , they entered the cabin, " so guys the news is that my dad agreed to let miley be transferred to his hospital , wait it's not over , there is a condition , we have to stop visiting until weekends because her surgery is on Saturday , so it is one day ahead so we have to be patient" , " so your father just accepted it" , " ritha my father was so happy that miley forgave me , said that he would do it to repay jack's death" , " so guys we can now have our beloved coach in no time, it's about everything goes back to normal" everyone started departing but miley remained she then went to the cabin's verandah and looked at the sea , bill then observed ritha and came close to her , " ritha is everything alright" , " yeah sort of, I just miss the cool breezes on this sunny day" , " oh imiss surfing too" , " bill I can surf better than you do" , " ok you want to play that game ritha " " you bet" , " okay you are trying to be rude" , " no bill I am the goddess of the sea" , " we'll see let's do it tomorrow right" , " and I will challenge you for your throne" , they all laughed , bill held ritha's hand " guys were closing it's not time for that" tom said ,bill then let go off ritha and they went out , " bye bill , see you tomorrow at the sea get ready to feel the power" ritha said and laughed " yeah I'll be there to challenge you" , bill said they parted , but just about bill stepped into his car he looked back , ritha looked back too , she waved at bill again ,tom saw it and he threw his cap down bill left and ritha also headed home , tom left after all of them had left . The afternoon was good for ritha and so for bill , ritha thought about bill the whole evening, and she slept lately that night . Friday morning school was the worst part of the day as usual , after class ritha left and headed school and she got ready for surfing that afternoon for the first time in the whole week , she ent to the club and entered the cabin she took her surfing board and headed to the beach , bill was already there , " you are five minutes late ,goddess" bill said , " but not yet late to win bill" , ritha said as she tied her hair backwards , " we'll see about that" , bill said , looks like you are not the only one here , ritha said as she pointed at pete and Jennifer , " come on it can't be " bill said ritha went into the water and she lied on the board and paddled , bill followed him , " bill you look like a squid in water" , pete said , " come on " bill said and they all laughed ritha came back from the water to cheer with her friends , " so what's next guys" , " boys versus girls right" , Jennifer answered ritha" , " yeah fair game" pete said , "let's go for it , who is first" bill said . "I prefer boys first in a twenty minutes surf" bill answered and they went into the water , " ritha I am sorry about my weird behavior yesterday , I was upset but I am pacified now" , " Jennifer that was nothing it happens many times to me too , but why wouldn't you hear about the prom party" , " ritha I know you wanted me to try but I don't want to lose again , last year was awful" , " but Jennifer , what it takes is a sense of confidence and you'll do it" , "thanks ritha ,I'll try my best rut this year I am facing alexa and I know she is even more better than me at all things" , " you know what Jennifer , there is a saying that do you best and god will do the rest , and practice makes perfect , I know you can do it Jennifer" ritha said and hugged Jennifer . " okay time for us too" Jennifer said as bill and pete got out of the water , they aso went and surfed , bill kept looking at ritha closely , until pete noticed , " hey yo bill , what's the matter" , " uh nothing just looking at the beautiful water" , " come on I know it I saw you make a move yesterday" , " pete I really feel better when I am with ritha I don't know why" , " bill you mean you love ritha" , " absolutely yes" , " wow , I knew it bro , so what are you waiting for bro , go get the girl I am sure she loves you too" , " yeah I've been thinking about it for days" bill said as they came back from the water . The other guys with tom ahead , " okay folks , time for some serious practice party is over" , " what is he talking about anyway" Jennifer said , but tom seemed to look at bill in a strange way " why is he angry" bill said, " don't know , I really don't know" pete said , tom went into the cabin and he took his ring of fire surfing board , " man I can't believe he has jackson's surfing board, I wanted to have it one day" bill said , " coach miley gave it to him and unfortunately left him in charge , he was goo before but he is now not a good guy at all" , " see pete , he is definitely changing" bill said as he went close to the cabin . " Ok , new rules no boy practicing with a girl" , tom said and he intended to stop bill and ritha's connection " you know what pete , I think this has gone way too far it has to stop" bill said as he approached tom , " hey tom , bro why are you taking things so far this isn't about ordering us around this is about team work" , " hey don't call me bo were not friends right , so go back and practice starts now" , " you know what bill , watch your step man, go it" , tom said as he left bill alone . Tom made everyone do boring physical exercises , they all were exhausted , they all wished miley was back , tom had become so cruel, and so angry many at times he could not control his anger when it comes to bill and ritha, luckily practice came to an end , they all went back to the locker room for changing . " Today was great , until tom showed up" Jennifer said and she looked disgusted " I wonder why he is acting as a child" ritha said , " ritha I also wonder why because it is the first time to see him act like that for all the time we've known each other" lanna said , ritha thought they had discovered that the reason was herself , she decided to go to the bathroom , she entered and she went to the sink , she washed her face and looked into the mirror , " why is this so hard to keep , I should tell lanna" , she kept on saying to herself , " ritha we are out of time" , " okay I'm coming" ritha said and she wiped her face and went out , they all picked their bags and went out and headed home . On the way home ritha became more worried about lanna knowing that she was the cause of tom's bad attitude , " lanna I think tom is beleaguered he needs some on to alk to him , and that should be you" , ritha said but lanna had done all she could but tom could't listen , and she could do nothing more , " okay girls I think I'll leave you to continue on your own" ritha said as she opened the gate , " bye" they all waved to her , ritha entered and went straight to her room , she lied on her bed , " I'll figure out how to change his attitude" she sid to herself she then took her phone and put Jennifer and lanna on a conference video call , " girls I need your Ideas" , ritha said but the others stayed quiet , " come on help me I need to find something or an idea that will ameliorate tom's situation" , " oh, I wasn't of what you were talking about" Jennifer said , " let me guess , what does e like more than surfing , because he is very annoying when it comes to surfing" lanna said , " I guess you could take him to the park tomorrow , or a movie" , " okay a movie is fine lanna but which type of movie could help him ,remember he likes gory movies" , " jennifer I think a romantic movie could help tom to remember lanna's care" , " ritha that's a nice one but we should go as girls because bill could make him more upset" , " ritha there is a movie tonight , I think we should not wait for tomorrow" , " okay lanna , let's meet at Peterson mall and come with bill" , ritha said and hanged off , she then had , put on her cardigan and pants and went to the living room . " Mom , I won be around tonight I've got to go to the movies with my friends" , " you mean tom" , " no mom it's a girl's night out" she said an went out . Lanna and Jennifer had arrived and tom had came too, , they went to get snacks, tom was behaving better than before , lanna was surprised by his quick recover , they headed to the cinema . The movie started lanna sat close to and held his hand , tom seemed to like the moment . The movie came to an end , they all went out , " wow the movie was more than a blast" tom said and the girls looked at each other and winked , Jennifer and ritha headed their way and left lanna with tom , " I guess you liked it tom" , " yeah , and thanks lanna I loved the moment we had , this night is unforgettable" , " tom I really love to see you happy , promise you'll never be like earlier today" , " lanna I'm sorry for my bad behavior today but I'll try my best to be better" , tom said and accompanied lanna home . Ritha reached home and was very exhausted she headed to bed , she had to get enough rest because , the next day miley would go for a surgery , the recovery of miley was the only hope for the team to return to normal because they had to attend a surfing competition in a couple of weeks to come .
