The moment that we were all in the water, we started our descent down to the ocean floor. I don't think that I quite understood how far down it was going to be. I had lived by the ocean my whole life. I had been born in the ocean. And yet, here I was not knowing how vast it really was.

I don't think that I was the only one that didn't really understand it though. There seemed to be quite a bit of shock on Makai's face as well. And, really, could anyone blame us?
