Class had been in session for about two weeks. It was the second weekend of the semester, and the fourth week that we were all living in our new condo. Things were going great. We were having fun. We were being responsible. The place was clean. We ate regularly. We studied in the living room or dining room as a group. Things were going great.

We were also being considerate to our families. We called home every other day. Daily would have just been overkill in my mind. Well, in truth we were calling every day, but I would call my parents every other day and Makai would call his every other day. Both sets of parents were worried about all four of us and seemed to think that we weren't able to handle living on our own.
