Vampires Are Real But Zombies Are Just To Outrageous!

An ear-wrenching, teeth Irking, nail-scratching, sound echoed into the hollow exhausted of Umar's tomb. His eyelids that had tightly rested for over a decade twitched in vexation. He waited for the noise to subside for him to once again lose awareness. The peace did not come in the dull frozen coffin that occupied a man who rested for half a human life. It was basically half an incense stick in Umars book causing a crease to pinch his brows even more.

A long, thoughtful, unnerved sigh broke the dead stale air of the coffin. Who was it that was messing with his coffin? Who broke into his tomb? A perplexity of web thoughts surfaced Umars intellect as he clicked a button on the side that lifted the coffin lid. He had come to a simple judgment and that was to kill whoever had disturbed him! The familiar ache of his stomach was like a melancholy of unforsaken hunger. Umar felt a dreary gloom hung above his soul, he had wished to last at least another decade before sedating himself with the rosy liquid of human blood.

"..."

Umar must still be asleep for when he opened the lid of his coffin a corpse with maggots, blood, dirt, and decay was mingling around his tomb in an aimless manner. Umar froze up, he dared not to breathe, and his fingers slightly trembled. A low groan of something animalistic, something of nonhuman origins could ever muster escaped the floppy decaying mouth.

Quickly Umar noticed the blood that it dragged along with it. Its leg was barely holding on and limped awkwardly to its side, the sight could make any normal human or as of now, vampires' spirit cringe. A gruesome sin-worthy creature had dirtied his tomb with its rot. A creature that became popularized in the 1930s was quite literally in front of him.

The zombie's gaze had delayed to Umar's own and time seemed to stop for a brief moment. When chaos felt it was at its peak the zombie whose eyes scanned lifelessly upon Umar continued its awkward track and bumped into the wall and continued to do so like a bird trapped in a glass cage.

Umar gulped, his heart palpating in his chest, the feelings of unease and unrest had him in a state of shock for a long while. He slowly rose watching the zombie closely as to not attract it. The zombie no longer reacting to his movements like he himself was a fellow zombie, which in this case Umar is thrilled and devastated by the concept. By the time his stiff muscles had made it out of his tomb, it was luckily dusk and it wasn't so bright that it hurt his eyes. Also while on his way out he carefully avoided the disgusting residue of the earlier zombie, he felt half mad!

The tomb he so carefully bought with a chunk of money and had cleaned to its highest pristine degree look was tarnished with thick brown blood. Its shining marble luster looking dull and grave. It was cleaned with almost every cleaning product on the market in the twenty first century but was ruined. Smelling the disgusting odor of a rotten-blooded zombie had Umar scrunching his nose, his stomach not approving.

Even so, he couldn't think of his hunger at this time, a nail-biting intrusive thought scratched his brain at the sight of the Hollywood creature. If it was here in the tomb run by his human servants that he entrusted to take care of not supposed to open the tomb to any unwanted visitors...then what was out here? Umar's back itched and the hairs on his nape stood on end. Slow, low, lifeless, growls chimed in his ears upon the reality that all he heard in his earshot range were zombie noises. Not even a voice of life was heard. A sinking feeling drowned over his heart which beat invigoratingly fastly.

Umar turned around and like a tyrant ghost took steps forward neither quickly nor slowly and eventually made it to the gates which enclosed his tomb from prying eyes. It was cracked open, probably how that zombie got in. Although Umar didn't know exactly what it was, all the information of the supernatural he had gathered over the years didn't connect to any except the augury of zombies made from human imagination. This was no werewolf, fairy, demon, shifters of any kind! This 'zombie' shouldn't exist much like the supernatural 'shouldn't exist in the human mind. Umar grew to a slow when he opened the gate with a black-gloved palm his clothes a natural white shirt and jeans with a pair of shoes snug with the fit.

The soft creak reverberated the wind and starlight warmed the cold skin of the vampire. Umar's dark skin reflected in the afterglow of the sunset, a deep orange shadow cascading upon the Earth beautifully, his lethal sharp eyes that of the sunset color blazed brighter upon the submerging twilight. Anyone would be awed at the sight, even the 5000 year old vampire stopped to drink in the sky for a split second. That was until the putrid smell that he couldn't seem to shake the whole while he's been awake entered into his lungs like a virus. The rotten smell of the dead. That was when he saw them, zombies.

The gut sinking feeling came back at the crowd of zombies aimlessly wondering like in the horror movies he saw for fun when he had time to see the new human inventions. 'But this...what the hell is this?'

'What had the humans done to themselves? And'...Umar cupped his rumbling tummy, where on Earth would he get his food now if a zombie apocalypse had lapsed in his time of rest? The sight before him made him what to throw up and his body tingles all over. 'Gross! So gross! They're all dirty! Full of maggots and disease! Rotting corpses walking around!' The vampire bit his cheeks assuming if he moved a few more inches he would be bathed in their disgusting rotten skin and blood. A bitter delusion making his skin feel prickly just breathing the air they tracked their listless paths in.

Just when he felt on the verge of an anxious spur of mania a human female's scream broke the rigid spell biding him of temporary relief. All the zombies in unison shot up and like they hadn't just been blank slates all hurried away to the scream. Umar knew that could be his meal, he never thought humans would become a rarity food now. He gulped a bit glad that the zombies had left the area, but his hunger was not sedated in the least. He didn't want to be associated nor near a zombie again!

They were too vile of a disgusting creature! Umar wanted to take ten showers just being near the things. 'Ah, are hot baths still a thing?' Umar looked around at the collapsed buildings and debris that had fallen into the streets, the roads were cracked, cars were sprawled out in every which direction, and it looked like the world had been through countless wars and bombs, maybe even some nukes.

His mansion! he turned behind him looking above his tomb where his estate laid in the distance. As he expected, completely destroyed.

Umar tightly clenched his fist above his heart and for the first time regretted sleeping in.
